The structural and electrical characteristics of Ag/Ni bilayer metallization on polycrystalline thermoelectric SnSe were investigated. Two difficulties with thermoelectric SnSe metallization were identified for Ag and Ni single layers: Sn diffusion into the Ag metallization layer and unexpected cracks in the Ni metallization layer. The proposed Ag/Ni bilayer was prepared by hot-pressing, demonstrating successful metallization on the SnSe surface without interfacial cracks or elemental penetration into the metallization layer. Structural analysis revealed that the Ni layer reacts with SnSe, forming several crystalline phases during metallization that are beneficial for reducing contact resistance. Detailed investigation of the Ni/SnSe interface layer confirms columnar Ni-Sn intermetallic phases [(Ni3Sn and Ni3Sn2) and Ni5.63SnSe2] that suppress Sn diffusion into the Ag layer. Electrical specific-contact resistivity (5.32 × 10?4 Ω cm2) of the Ag/Ni bilayer requires further modification for development of high-efficiency polycrystalline SnSe thermoelectric modules. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a fast Fourier transform (FFT) processor with four parallel data paths for multiband orthogonal frequency‐division multiplexing ultra‐wideband systems. The proposed 128‐point FFT processor employs both a modified radix‐24 algorithm and a radix‐23 algorithm to significantly reduce the numbers of complex constant multipliers and complex booth multipliers. It also employs substructure‐sharing multiplication units instead of constant multipliers to efficiently conduct multiplication operations with only addition and shift operations. The proposed FFT processor is implemented and tested using 0.18 µm CMOS technology with a supply voltage of 1.8 V. The hardware‐ efficient 128‐point FFT processor with four data streams can support a data processing rate of up to 1 Gsample/s while consuming 112 mW. The implementation results show that the proposed 128‐point mixed‐radix FFT architecture significantly reduces the hardware cost and power consumption in comparison to existing 128‐point FFT architectures. 相似文献

Upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) have been integrated with photonic platforms to overcome the intrinsically low quantum efficiency limit of upconversion luminescence (UCL). However, platforms based on thin films lack transferability and flexibility, which hinders their broader and more practical application. A plasmonic structure is developed that works as a multi‐functional platform for flexible, transparent, and washable near‐infrared (NIR)‐to‐visible UCL films with ultra‐strong UCL intensity. The platform consists of dielectric microbeads decorated with plasmonic metal nanoparticles on an insulator/metal substrate. Distinct improvements in NIR confinement, visible light extraction, and boosted plasmonic effects for upconversion are observed. With weak NIR excitation, the UCL intensity is higher by three orders of magnitude relative to the reference platform. When the microbeads are organized in a square lattice array, the functionality of the platform can be expanded to wearable and washable UCL films. The platform can be transferred to transparent, flexible, and foldable films and still emit strong UCL with a wide viewing angle. 相似文献

We developed a room-temperature encapsulation process based on multi-stack of ultra thin Al2O3 and polyurea layers for top-emission organic light-emitting devices (TEOLEDs). Device structure, including a capping layer for refractive-index matching and a thick polyurea buffer layer, was optimized to enhance light extraction without distorting electroluminescence spectrum. The efficiency of a TEOLED encapsulated with 5 pairs of Al2O3(50 nm)/polyurea(20 nm) layers was better than that of a glass-encapsulated TEOLED, whereas their color coordinates were almost identical. Moreover, the half-decay lifetime of a TEOLED encapsulated with 5 pairs of Al2O3/polyurea layers was 86% of that of a glass-encapsulated TEOLED. Water vapor transition rate of 5 pairs of Al2O3(50 nm)/polyurea(20 nm) layers on PET film was measured as low as 5 × 10−4 g/m2 day. 相似文献

Various simulation applications for hair, clothing, and makeup of a 3D avatar can provide more useful information to users before they select a hairstyle, clothes, or cosmetics. To enhance their reality, the shapes, textures, and colors of the avatars should be similar to those found in the real world. For a more realistic 3D avatar color reproduction, this paper proposes a spectrum‐based color reproduction algorithm and color management process with respect to the implementation of the algorithm. First, a makeup color reproduction model is estimated by analyzing the measured spectral reflectance of the skin samples before and after applying the makeup. To implement the model for a makeup simulation system, the color management process controls all color information of the 3D facial avatar during the 3D scanning, modeling, and rendering stages. During 3D scanning with a multicamera system, spectrum‐based camera calibration and characterization are performed to estimate the spectrum data. During the virtual makeup process, the spectrum data of the 3D facial avatar is modified based on the makeup color reproduction model. Additive engineering is one of the most efficient approaches to improve not only photovoltaic performance but also phase stability of formamidinium (FA)-based perovskite. Chlorine-based additives, such as methylammonium chloride (MACl), have been in general used to improve phase stability of FAPbI3, which however often leads to loss of open-circuit voltage Voc, accompanied by instability of the perovskite phase due to the volatile nature of the MA cation. A dual additive strategy for improving Voc and thereby the overall efficiency are reported here. The mixing ratio of MACl to CsCl is varied from [MACl]/[CsCl] = 4 to 1, where Voc increases with decreasing the ratio and best performance is achieved from [MACl]/[CsCl] = 2. As compared to the single source of MACl, the addition of CsCl reduces trap density and increases resistance against charge recombination, which is responsible for the increased Voc. Moreover, defect passivation achieved by dual additive enables better stability than the single additive MACl as confirmed by long-term stability tests with unencapsulated devices for 50 days under relative humidity of about 40% at room temperature. The best power conversion efficiency of 23.22% is achieved by dual additive, which is higher than that for single additive of MACl or CsCl. 相似文献

A novel two-dimensional diversity combining is proposed for the uplink in a single cell which employs multidimensional multicode direct-sequence code-division multiple-access signaling and two receive antennas. First, the signaling is combined with precoding to obtain a constant envelope signal that is suitable for the uplink, and the resulting error detection is applied to the diversity combining. Based on the error detection, an adaptive selection-combining/maximal-ratio combining (SC/MRC) is performed, for which initial data detection is made by the SC to avoid the combining loss of the very noisy paths. When the initial SC is unreliable (indicated by the error detection), the MRC is attempted to fully exploit the space and multipath diversity. The adaptive SC/MRC is generalized to further increase the diversity gain over the MRC, offered by the error-detection capability. Through analysis and simulation results, it is shown that the adaptive SC/MRC and its generalized diversity receiver outperforms the other schemes in terms of the symbol-error rate, and also its bit-error rate can be lower than that of the variable spreading factor scheme using a single code. 相似文献
