Recovery of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrachloroferrate ([bmim]FeCl4) from its mixture with water was investigated. The [bmim]FeCl4 rich phase in the mixture forming two-phase was successfully separated, while homogeneous mixtures could not be separated. However, the concentration of the homogeneous mixture varied as a function of the magnetic field strength. Therefore, a combination of magnetic field and conventional methods to recover magnetic ILs from reaction mixtures will be very useful and have great potential.  相似文献

Intelligent service robots provide various services to users by understanding the context and goals of a user task. In order to provide more reliable services, intelligent service robots need to consider various factors, such as their surrounding environments, users' changing needs, and constrained resources. To handle these factors, most of the intelligent service robots are controlled by a task‐based control system, which generates a task plan that represents a sequence of actions, and executes those actions by invoking the corresponding functions. However, the traditional task‐based control systems lack the consideration of resource factors even though intelligent service robots have limited resources (limited computational power, memory space, and network bandwidth). Moreover, system‐specific concerns such as the relationships among functional modules are not considered during the task generation phase. Without considering both the resource conditions and interdependencies among software modules as a whole, it will be difficult to efficiently manage the functionalities that are essential to provide core services to users. In this paper, we propose a mechanism for intelligent service robots to efficiently use their resources on‐demand by separating system‐specific information from task generation. We have defined a sub‐architecture that corresponds to each action of a task plan, and provides a way of using the limited resources by minimizing redundant software components and maintaining essential components for the current action. To support the optimization of resource consumption, we have developed a two‐phase optimization process, which is composed of the topological and temporal optimization steps. We have conducted an experiment with these mechanisms for an infotainment robot, and simulated the optimization process. This paper deals with algorithms for text localization and character segmentation in images for process automation in the steel-making industry. Each character which comprises slab identification numbers may be corrupted severely before it is captured by network cameras. Therefore, proper processing is required to localize the target texts successfully. In this paper, we propose (1) a method to evaluate the closeness of an edge patch to the form of a closed contour, (2) an edge inspection method to determine character colors and estimate font thickness, and (3) three reasonable binarization methods to increase the performance of the algorithm for the detection of the left and right boundaries of the text rectangle. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are reliable.  相似文献

The solid solution of Pb(Mg,Nb)O3-Pb(Zr,TiO) O3 materials have high piezoelectric constant of 600 ∼650 pC/N and electromechanical coupling coefficient k p of 0.65. Due to such high piezoelectric constant and electromechanical coupling coefficient, Pb(Mg,Nb)O3-Pb(Zr,TiO)O3 materials have been attracted attentions for the applications of multilayer ceramic actuators. Actuators can be produced by staking piezoelectric ceramic materials and inner electrodes, alternatively. However, it is difficult to fabricate huge ceramic actuators without any serious problems during the process conditions. Because ceramic are easily cracked during the sintering process, due to strikingly different shrinkage rate between the ceramic materials and metal electrodes. In this research, new jointing methods will be proposed for huge ceramic actuators, and then their electrical properties were investigated. Time dependent leakage current and impedance spectroscopy were employed to expect device performances.  相似文献

A tunable multiwavelength fiber laser based on a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is newly proposed. The proposed fiber laser employs a fiber comb filter based on a polarization-diversity loop configuration (PDLC) for the multiwavelength selection. The spectral characteristic of the comb filter is graphically explained by tracing the state of polarization (SOP) of the light propagating through the filter on the Poincare sphere. Particularly, the method of adjusting the filter characteristics is established with the help of the Poincare-sphere representation. The experimental results show that 18 laser lines oscillate with the signal to amplified spontaneous emission noise ratio over 25 dB. Particularly, all of the laser lines with a fixed channel spacing of /spl sim/ 0.8 nm can be continuously shifted by adjusting only a wave plate contained within the filter.  相似文献

An analog of a quantum search method, known as Grover's algorithm, is modeled without entanglement on the macroscopic level, using numerical simulation of microwave devices and methods. An array of microstrip annular-ring resonators simulates a quantum bit array. An oracle that performs a test to determine which element in the array is the answer to the search algorithm is provided by a microwave-frequency plane wave, modulated by a Gaussian pulse. A single annular ring with a resonant frequency identical to the frequency of the incident pulse serves as the answer to the search. It is shown that the number of Gaussian pulses needed to identify the answer element is equal to the radicN iterations predicted by the Grover algorithm. The decay in a microwave-resonator element is used to show that the quantum dual - a spontaneous decay of the excited energy level of a quantum bit, also described as its decoherence - can be a serious obstacle to the development of large quantum-bit data arrays  相似文献

We reported 94-GHz, low conversion loss, and high isolation single balanced active gate mixer based on 70-nm gate length InGaAs/InAlAs metamorphic high-electron mobility transistors (MHEMTs). This mixer showed that the conversion loss and isolation characteristics were 2.5/spl sim/3.5 dB and under -29 dB in the range of 92.95/spl sim/94.5 GHz, respectively. The low conversion loss of the mixer is mainly attributed to the high-performance of the MHEMTs exhibiting a maximum drain current density of 607 mA/mm, an extrinsic transconductance of 1015 mS/mm, a current gain cutoff frequency (f/sub t/) of 330 GHz, and a maximum oscillation frequency (f/sub max/) of 425 GHz. High isolation characteristics are due to hybrid ring coupler which adopted dielectric-supported air-gapped microstrip line structure using surface micromachined technology. To our knowledge, these results are the best performance demonstrated from 94 GHz single balanced mixer utilizing GaAs-based HEMTs in terms of conversion loss as well as isolation characteristics.  相似文献

We present a method to analyze electrical and optical characteristics of traveling-wave electroabsorption modulators (TW-EAMs) using the finite-difference time-domain method. We consider the interaction between electromagnetic fields and optical powers in waveguides in time domain to model electrical and optical behaviors of TW-EAMs. The effects of microwave properties of waveguides on modulation response and output optical power of TW-EAMs are analyzed by the proposed method. The characteristic impedance of TW-EAMs is more important than microwave index to obtain large modulation bandwidth of TW-EAMs when impedance matching techniques are not used. However, effective refractive index match between microwave and lightwave becomes important as the waveguide length increases. The microwave property closely related to the extinction ratio of output optical powers is the microwave loss. When impedance match is achieved by low-impedance termination, the velocity matching between microwave and lightwave becomes important.  相似文献

Two-phase microjet impingement cooling is a potential solution for removing heat from high-power VLSI chips. Arrays of microjets promise to achieve more uniform chip temperatures and very high heat transfer coefficients. This paper presents the design and fabrication of single-jets and multijet arrays with circular orifice diameters ranging from 40 to 76 /spl mu/m, as well as integrated heater and temperature sensor test devices. The performance of the microjet heat sinks is studied using the integrated heater device as well as an industry standard 1 cm/sup 2/ thermal test chip. For single-phase, the silicon temperature distribution data are consistent with a model accounting for silicon conduction and fluid advection using convection coefficients in the range from 0.072 to 4.4 W/cm/sup 2/K. For two-phase, the experimental results show a heat removal of up to 90 W on a 1 cm/sup 2/ heated area using a four-jet array with 76 /spl mu/m diameter orifices at a flowrate of 8 ml/min with a temperature rise of 100/spl deg/C. The data indicate convection coefficients are not significantly different from coefficients for pool boiling, which motivates future work on optimizing flowrates and flow regimes. These microjet heat sinks are intended for eventual integration into a closed-loop electroosmotically pumped cooling system.  相似文献

The decomposition of CHF3 in a mixture with O2 and Ar was investigated in a coaxial dielectric barrier discharge at atmospheric pressure. CHF3 decomposition increased linearly in regard to specific energy input (SEI), whereas energy efficiency decreased. The main product was CO2, and its selectivity increased with high SEI and the presence of O2 in the feed, but an increase of O2 in the feed led to a decrease in decomposition rate. An increase in total flow rate led to an increase of the absolute amount of CHF3 decomposition and energy efficiency; however, the decomposition of CHF3 decreased. A complete CHF3 decomposition occurred under an SEI of 1.54 kJ/L with the selectivity of CO2 and CO as 89.87% and 7.00%, respectively. Optical emission spectroscopic analysis could explain the available reaction pathways for CHF3 decomposition in the CHF3/O2/Ar atmospheric plasma and show the possibility of F2 and HF formation.  相似文献
