In this paper, two new formulations are presented for trajectory optimization in the patrolling problem. It is assumed that the starting depot is not prespecified; an assumption that distinguishes the present work from the existing literature. A number of viewpoints are assigned to be visited in a certain sequence to minimize the total travel distance. The problem turns out to be a variant of the well-known Traveling Salesmen Problem (TSP), namely the Single depot multiple Traveling Salesmen Problem (mTSP). Comparisons between the commonly-used prespecified starting depot approach and the proposed formulations are performed and the efficacy of the results is presented through simulations. It is noted that by using the new approach, the total travel distance can be improved by an average of about 20 % compared to the case where the starting depot is prespecified, and by about 40 % in the worst-case scenario (in terms of the starting depot).  相似文献

In this study, carrot pomace powder (CPP) with particle sizes of 210 μm (CPP210) and 500 μm (CPP500) was added in the gluten‐free sponge cake recipe. Flour (rice and corn flour, 1:1, w/w) was replaced with 0, 10, 20 and 30% CPP. With increasing the level and particle size of CPP, batter density, viscosity, consistency and firmness increased. The control cake had a dense, hard texture, irregular shape and low sensory scores. These properties improved with addition of CPP so that the cake density, hardness and cohesiveness reduced, while symmetry index and sensory scores increased. Varying the particle size of CPP had no considerable effects on most of the batter and cake properties, while increasing the level of CPP had great positive effects on the quality of batter and cake. Overall, addition of 30% CPP with either of the particle sizes resulted in an acceptable gluten‐free cake.  相似文献

In this work we demonstrate, for the first time, the use of polylactic acid (PLA) as a biodegradable host matrix for the construction of the active emissive layer of organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) devices for potential use in bioelectronics. In this preliminary study, we report a robust synthesis of two fluorescent PLA derivatives, pyrene‐PLA ( AH10 ) and perylene‐PLA ( AH11 ). These materials were prepared by the ring opening polymerisation of l ‐lactide with hydroxyalkyl‐pyrene and hydroxyalkyl‐perylene derivatives using 1,8‐diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec‐7‐ene as catalyst. OLEDs were fabricated from these materials using a simple device architecture involving a solution‐processed single‐emitting layer in the configuration ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PVK:OXD‐7 (35%): AH10 or AH11 (20%)/TPBi/LiF/Al (ITO, indium tin oxide; PEDOT:PSS, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrenesulfonic acid); PVK, poly(vinylcarbazole); OXD‐7, (1,3‐phenylene)‐bis‐[5‐(4‐tert‐butylphenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole]; TPBi, 2,2′,2″‐(1,3,5‐benzenetriyl)tris(1‐phenyl‐1H‐benzimidazole)). The turn‐on voltage for the perylene OLED at 10 cd m–2 was around 6 V with a maximum brightness of 1200 cd m–2 at 13 V. The corresponding external quantum efficiency and device current efficiency were 1.5% and 2.8 cd A–1 respectively. In summary, this study provides proof of principle that OLEDs can be constructed from PLA, a readily available and renewable bio‐source. © 2020 The Authors. This paper presented the fabrication and calibration of a clad-modified evanescent based plastic optical fiber (POF) sensor for the detection of ammonia in both stagnant and dynamic aqueous media. This optochemical sensor was based on Oxazine 170 perchlorate (sensing material) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) (protective material) thin layers. A special chemical solution was developed for the etching removal of cladding and a methodology for trapping moisture was exercised. Experimental results on dissolved ammonia detection exhibited short response time (≤10 s), low detection limit (minimum detection limit 1.4 ppm), high sensitivity, and excellent reversibility (over 99%).  相似文献

Many governments around the world are focusing on emissions reduction through energy efficiency improvements, particularly on the demand side. Although Integrated Resource Planning (IRP), which considers both supply-side and demand-side options, had been a useful tool in the planning process for the power industry, its effectiveness has been challenged recently with the restructuring of the power sector that has occurred in China and elsewhere around the world. The paper proposes Integrated Resource Strategic Planning (IRSP) as an alternative to IRP in a deregulated power sector. IRSP takes the resource planning process one step further to the national level. In this paper, the authors demonstrate the tremendous potential for efficiency improvements on both the supply and demand sides of the power sector in China with IRSP. The results show that between 2009 and 2020, the potential for electricity savings will reach about 1228.5 TWh, and the potential reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions will be about 1020.5 million tons. Another important finding of this study is that the current market-based pricing system in China should be improved to provide sufficient incentives for pursuing energy savings on the demand side.  相似文献

Nickel oxide nanoparticles were formed on mesoporous carbon (NiO/MC) through precipitating nickel hydroxide species followed by post annealing treatment. The as-prepared electrocatalysts were physically characterized using XRD, Raman, EDX, SEM, TEM and HRTEM analysis techniques. Very fine nanoparticles were shown in TEM image and their chemical identity was proved in XRD pattern by three crystal indices of nickel oxide species as (111), (200) and (220). The electrocatalytic activity of NiO/MC electrocatalysts was investigated for oxidizing urea molecules in 0.5 M NaOH solution. Adding variable nickel oxide loading values during the electrocatalyst preparation method appreciably affected the obtained oxidation current density. Increasing the deposited oxide weight percentage would enhance the activity of formed nanocomposite to attain its optimum performance at the electrocatalyst containing 17.5 wt% NiO. The effect of altering urea concentration and scan rate during the oxidation process on the resultant electrocatalyst activity was studied. Chronoamperograms displayed improved steady state oxidation current density values after 1800 s revealing stable nanocatalysts. This promising electrocatalytic behavior of NiO/MC elects its application as an active component for urea electro-oxidation in many potential applications including hydrogen production, fuel cells and water purification.  相似文献

The metal dusting behavior of Iron–Chromium–Nickel heat resistant HP–Nb steel specimen was investigated at the outer surfaces while the methane gas was passed inside the hole of the specimen. After an exposure of 130 h in a flowing methane (CH4) gas at 680 °C, different dispersed corrosion products were formed on the outer surface of the specimen near the hole. Conventional metallography and scanning electron microscopy were used to identify the microstructure of the reaction products. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy was used for microchemical analysis. The phases produced on the surface were identified by X-ray diffraction. Some of reaction products found as surface deposits on the outer surfaces of specimen near the hole contained Fe and Cr carbides, Fe, Cr and Ni oxides, scale of Ni, Fe particles and free C. Results revealed that carbon nano-filaments materials could be formed during disintegration of heat resistant HP–Nb steel under metal dusting environment.  相似文献

The use of composite pressure vessels particularly in the aerospace industry is escalating rapidly because of their superiority in directional strength and colossal weight advantage. The present work elucidates the procedure to optimize the lay-up for composite pressure vessel using finite element analysis and calculate the relative weight saving compared with the reference metallic pressure vessel. The determination of proper fiber orientation and laminate thickness is very important to decrease manufacturing difficulties and increase structural efficiency. In the present work different lay-up sequences for laminates including, cross-ply [0 m /90 n ] s , angle-ply [±θ] ns , [90/±θ] ns and [0/±θ] ns , are analyzed. The lay-up sequence, orientation and laminate thickness (number of layers) are optimized for three candidate composite materials S-glass/epoxy, Kevlar/epoxy and Carbon/epoxy. Finite element analysis of composite pressure vessel is performed by using commercial finite element code ANSYS and utilizing the capabilities of ANSYS Parametric Design Language and Design Optimization module to automate the process of optimization. For verification, a code is developed in MATLAB based on classical lamination theory; incorporating Tsai–Wu failure criterion for first-ply failure (FPF). The results of the MATLAB code shows its effectiveness in theoretical prediction of first-ply failure strengths of laminated composite pressure vessels and close agreement with the FEA results. The optimization results shows that for all the composite material systems considered, the angle-ply [±θ] ns is the optimum lay-up. For given fixed ply thickness the total thickness of laminate is obtained resulting in factor of safety slightly higher than two. Both Carbon/epoxy and Kevlar/Epoxy resulted in approximately same laminate thickness and considerable percentage of weight saving, but S-glass/epoxy resulted in weight increment.  相似文献
