A simplified DFT-based algorithm and its VLSI implementation for accurate frequency estimation of single-tone complex sinusoid signal are investigated. The proposed algorithm estimates frequency by interpolation using Fourier coefficients. It consists of a coarse search followed by a fine search, and its performance closely achieves the Cramer–Rao low bound (CRLB) even in low SNR region. Moreover, a pipelined triple-mode CORDIC architecture is designed to efficiently support complex multiplication, complex magnitude calculation and real division. The triple-mode CORDIC-based radix-4 architecture is employed for the hardware implementation of the frequency estimator, and is suitable for not only fast Fourier transformation but also accurate frequency estimation. A frequency estimator with 1024-point samples is implemented and verified on FPGA. It works at 215 MHz on a Xilinx XC6VLX240T FPGA device, and uses up 4,161 registers and 6,986 slice LUTs. ASIC synthesis results show that it requires an area of 60K equivalent NAND2 gates with a clock rate of 500 MHz at SMIC 0.18 μm technology. The whole latency of the frequency estimator is 2336 cycles. The proposed architecture provides a good trade off between hardware overhead, estimation performance and computation latency. 相似文献

This paper examines various aspects of SAC (Sn–3.8Ag–0.7Cu wt.%) solder and UBM interactions which may impact interconnection reliability as it scales down. With different solder joint sizes, the dissolution rate of UBM and IMC growth kinetics will be different. Solder bumps on 250, 80 and 40 μm diameter UBM pads were investigated. The effect of solder volume/pad metallization area (V/A) ratio on IMC growth and Ni dissolution was investigated during reflow soldering and solid state isothermal aging. Higher V/A ratio produced thinner and more fragmented IMC morphology in SAC solder/Ni UBM reflow soldering interfacial reaction. Lower V/A ratio produced better defined IMC layer at the Ni UBM interface. When the ratio of V/A is constant, the IMC morphology and growth trend was found to be similar. After 250 h of isothermal aging, the IMC growth rate of the different bump sizes leveled off. No degradation in shear strength was observed in these solder bump after 500 h of isothermal aging. 相似文献

The practicality of aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs) for large-scale energy storage is hindered by challenges associated with zinc anodes. In this study, a low-cost and multi-function electrolyte additive, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), is presented to address these issues. CTAB adsorbs onto the zinc anode surface, regulating Zn2+ deposition orientation and inhibiting dendrite formation. It also modifies the solvation structure of Zn2+ to reduce water reactivity and minimize side reactions. Additionally, CTAB optimizes key physicochemical parameters of the electrolyte, enhancing the stability of the electrode/electrolyte interface and promoting reversibility in AZIBs. Theoretical simulations combined with operando synchrotron radiation-based in situ Fourier transform infrared spectra and in situ electrochemical impedance spectra further confirm the modified Zn2+ coordination environment and the adsorption effect of CTAB cations at the anode/electrolyte interface. As a result, the assembled Zn-MnO2 battery demonstrates a remarkable specific capacity of 126.56 mAh g−1 at a high current density of 4 A g−1 after 1000 cycles. This work highlights the potential of CTAB as a promising solution for improving the performance and practicality of AZIBs for large-scale energy storage applications. 相似文献

A novel kind of wavelength filter and converter using nondegenerate four-wave mixing (NDFWM) in an optical amplifier with tensile and compressively strained quantum wells (T/C SQW) is reported in this paper. The configuration of the T/C SQW converting filter is designed first, followed by the establishment of the coupling model of the device. The influences of the property parameters of the optical amplifier with T/C SQW on the output efficiency, 3dB bandwidth, and the frequency shift are mainly discussed. The device can serve as both filter and wavelength converter with high conversion efficiency and narrow bandwidth on the order of 0.01 nm. Meanwhile, the frequency conversion range, which is decided by the gain bandwidth of the semiconductor media, is up to 5000 Ghz in the considered case. 相似文献
