A new acoustic transducer and measurement method have been developed for precise measurement of surface wave velocity. This measurement method is used to investigate the acoustoelastic effects for waves propagating on the surface of a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) sample. The transducer uses two miniature conical PZT elements for acoustic wave transmitter and receiver on the sample surface; hence, it can be viewed as a point- source/point-receiver transducer. Acoustic waves are excited and detected with the PZT elements, and the wave velocity can be accurately determined with a cross-correlation waveform comparison method. The transducer and its measurement method are particularly sensitive and accurate in determining small changes in wave velocity; therefore, they are applied to the measurement of acoustoelastic effects in PMMA materials. Both the surface skimming longitudinal wave and Rayleigh surface wave can be simultaneously excited and measured. With a uniaxial-loaded PMMA sample, both acoustoelastic effects for surface skimming longitudinal wave and Rayleigh waves of PMMA are measured. The acoustoelastic coefficients for both types of surface wave motions are simultaneously determined. The transducer and its measurement method provide a practical way for measuring surface stresses nondestructively. 相似文献

Although the Eulerian approach coupling the kinetic theory of granular flow is usually used to study granular flows with relative lower solid fractions, it can be used to study relative denser granular flows if appropriate solid phase kinetic viscosity values were adopted. A granular bed surface fitting (BSF) method is proposed to determine the appropriate solid phase kinetic viscosities of the granular flows in a rotating drum. The specularity coefficient is also used to address the interaction between particles and the drum wall. The BSF solid phase kinetic viscosity increases with decreasing of particle sizes and drum rotational speeds. The BSF solid phase kinetic viscosity and the specularity coefficient follow a power-law relationship with 0.6–1.1 as the exponent of the specularity coefficient. The BSF solid phase kinetic viscosities for the particles of two different sizes are used to study particle segregation in a rotating drum. The core thickening segregation mechanism and the segregation band formations are well predicted. 相似文献

Conventional watershed segmentation methods invariably produce over-segmented images due to the presence of noise or local irregularities in the source images. In this paper, a robust medical image segmentation technique is proposed, which combines watershed segmentation and the competitive Hopfield clustering network (CHCN) algorithm to minimize undesirable over-segmentation. In the proposed method, a region merging method is presented, which is based on employing the region adjacency graph (RAG) to improve the quality of watershed segmentation. The relation of inter-region similarities is then investigated using image mapping in the watershed and CHCN images to determine more appropriate region merging. The performance of the proposed technique is presented through quantitative and qualitative validation experiments on benchmark images. 气溶胶质量浓度是评价大气环境变化的关键参数,光散射法是测量该参数的有效方法。但现有反演模型多采用散射光信号积分量反演质量浓度,导致颗粒物细化信息丢失,且未考虑颗粒形貌因素。针对上述问题,本文提出了一种采用散射光信号幅度分布反演气溶胶质量浓度的分形模型,充分利用了颗粒散射光的信号幅度信息与数目信息,有效提高了反演精度。实验结果表明:对于烟尘和空气样品,分形模型质量浓度反演值与实际测量值吻合,拟合直线斜率与1的绝对差为0.034和0.016,相关系数高于0.999,实验平均相对误差均小于7.7%,而电压积分量反演的质量浓度平均相对误差则在18.7%以内。该研究为光散射法应用于在线监测气溶胶质量浓度提供了一种新的精确反演方法。 相似文献

Neuropathic pain reduces GABA and glycine receptor (GlyR)-mediated activity in spinal and supraspinal regions associated with pain processing. Interleukin-1β (IL-1β) alters Central Amygdala (CeA) excitability by reducing glycinergic inhibition in a mechanism that involves the auxiliary β-subunit of GlyR (βGlyR), which is highly expressed in this region. However, GlyR activity and its modulation by IL-1β in supraspinal brain regions under neuropathic pain have not been studied. We performed chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerve in male Sprague Dawley rats, a procedure that induces hind paw plantar hyperalgesia and neuropathic pain. Ten days later, the rats were euthanized, and their brains were sliced. Glycinergic spontaneous inhibitory currents (sIPSCs) were recorded in the CeA slices. The sIPSCs from CeA neurons of CCI animals show a bimodal amplitude distribution, different from the normal distribution in Sham animals, with small and large amplitudes of similar decay constants. The perfusion of IL-1β (10 ng/mL) in these slices reduced the amplitudes within the first five minutes, with a pronounced effect on the largest amplitudes. Our data support a possible role for CeA GlyRs in pain processing and in the neuroimmune modulation of pain perception. 相似文献

利用遥感手段探讨土地覆盖类型和温度之间的对应关系有新意。以日本东京地区1998年10月14日接收的TM遥感图像为主要数据,在地面实际调查的基础上,利用图像处理方法,进行了土地覆盖类型和温度分布之间关系的探讨。以该区几种代表性的土地覆盖类型作为训练区,利用TM图像的第1,2,3,4,5五个波段数据进行分类处理,获得了很好的分类结果,TM图像第6波段(10.40~12.5μm)是探测地面温度分布最佳波段,利用第6波段数据通过一系列的转换,获得了该区温度分布。温度分布和土地覆盖类型之间具有很好的对应性,如:白天的城区温度与郊区相比普遍偏高,但城区中植被覆盖率高的居民区和公园,温度偏低;城区的商业区(新宿、银座等)、机场和大型工厂等温度偏高。 相似文献
