This paper investigates the spalling properties of high-strength concrete in order to improve the residual compressive strength and spalling resistance in specimens subjected to 3 h of unloading fire conditions. This study consists of three series of experiments with eighteen different specimens varying in fiber type and content, finishing material and simultaneous fiber content and lateral confinement. They were fabricated to a 300 × 300 × 600 mm mock-up size. Results of the fire test showed that the control concrete was explosive, while the specimens that contained more than 0.1 vol% of polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylalcohol (PVA) fibers were prevented from spalling. One specimen, finished by a fire endurance spray, exhibited even more severe spalling than the control concrete. The specimen containing 0.1 vol% of PP fiber and using a confining metal fabric at the same time, showed the most effective spalling resistance; in particular, the residual compressive strength ratio was even higher than that of the control concrete before the fire test. It was demonstrated that adding fibers in concrete prevented the spalling occurrence and confining metal fabric around the main bars of concrete specimens can secure the strength of structures during the conditions of elevated temperature.  相似文献

Titanium implants and BMP-7 in bone: an experimental model in the rabbit   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This study evaluates the effect of rhBMP-7/OP-1 on the osseointegration of commercially pure titanium implants in an experimental implant model in rabbits. Threaded titanium implants with two transverse parallel canals were inserted in the femur and tibia of rabbits. The canals were filled with, 10 g of BMP-7/collagen carrier, pure collagen carrier or were left empty as a control. The stiffness of the implant fixation was evaluated by Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) at baseline and four weeks postoperativly. Percentage of bone ingrowth in the canals was measured on microradiographs. Histomorphometry along the threaded part of the implants was performed on 15 m thin sections. The results from the RFA demonstrated a higher mean value for the BMP-7 treated implants in the tibia than the carrier treated implants but not compared to the control implants. The control implants in the tibia demonstrated more bone ingrowth in the upper canal than to the carrier or the BMP-7 treated implants. Apart from these differences there were no significant effects of BMP. In this study BMP-7 did not contribute to any substantially improved bone anchorage of titanium implants.  相似文献

Abstract

Pairs trading is an instance of statistical arbitrage that relies on heavy quantitative data analysis to profit by capitalising low-risk trading opportunities provided by anomalies of related assets. A key element in pairs trading is the rule by which open and close trading triggers are defined. This paper investigates the use of time series regression to define the rule which has previously been identified with fixed threshold-based approaches. Empirical results indicate that our approach may yield significantly increased excess returns compared to ones obtained by previous approaches on large capitalisation stocks in the Korean equities market.  相似文献

The characteristics and growth behaviors of alumina dielectric layer formed by anodic oxidation were investigated. The aluminum oxide layer anodized at 400 V was predominantly amorphous alumina, but at the applied potentials more than 500 V, amorphous and crystalline γ-alumina were existed in anodic oxide layer and the ratio of γ-alumina increased with the increasing applied potential. During the heat treatment at 600°C or higher temperature, amorphous alumina layer was transformed into the crystalline γ-alumina. The phase transition of anodic amorphous alumina into crystalline depends on anodic applied potentials and heat-treatment temperatures.  相似文献

The magnetocaloric properties of new complex magnetic material La0.65Sr0.35Cu0.1Mn0.9O3, suitable for the Ericsson cycle, have been investigated. For this material, the effect of Cu doping can be attributed to a combination of doping disorder, Cu-Mn super exchange interactions and a site-percolation mechanism, which suppress the metallic conduction and Curie temperature. The Curie temperature decreases to 355 K. The magnetocaloric study exposes a comparable value of the magnetic entropy change for La0.65Sr0.35Cu0.1Mn0.9O3 sample, the value of the maximum entropy change, increases from 1.132 J/kgK to 3.11 J/kgK as magnetic field increases from 1 T to 4 T. A large relative cooling power (RCP) has been observed for La0.65Sr0.35Cu0.1Mn0.9O3. As a result, the studied sample can be considered as potential material for magnetic refrigeration.  相似文献

An acidogenic reactor with a 0.5-L working volume and a methanogenic digester with a 5-L of working volume were operated for 150 days on a continuous mode to investigate the structure of a microbial community during food wastewater treatment. During the steady state of anaerobic digestion, volatile solids (VS) removal efficiency in the pilot plant was approximately 65%. The bacterial population was higher than any other methanogens detected during the entire anaerobic process and treatment of raw food wastewater. Methanomicrobiales (MMB), Methanosarcinales (MSL), and Methanobacteriales (MBT) were detected during digestion. The methanogenic population present in the acidogenic reactor was directly affected by the archaeal community in raw food wastewater. However, the shift of microbial community in the methanogenic digester was relatively gradual. The performance of methanogenic digester might be more related to the change of microbial metabolism affected by the physicochemical properties of the input substrate.  相似文献

This study develops a new design method called the constraint force design method, which allows topology optimization for planar rigid-body mechanisms. In conventional mechanism synthesis methods, the kinematics of a mechanism are analytically derived and the positions and types of joints of a fixed configuration (hereafter the topology) are optimized to obtain an optimal rigid-body mechanism tracking the intended output trajectory. Therefore, in conventional methods, modification of the configuration or topology of joints and links is normally considered impossible. In order to circumvent the fixed topology limitation in optimally designing rigid-body mechanisms, we present the constraint force design method. This method distributes unit masses simulating revolute or prismatic joints depending on the number of assigned degrees of freedom, analyzes the kinetics of unit masses coupled with constraint forces, and designs the existence of these constraint forces to minimize the root-mean-square error of the output paths of synthesized linkages and a target linkage using a genetic algorithm. The applicability and limitations of the newly developed method are discussed in the context of its application to several rigid-body synthesis problems.  相似文献

This paper presents a computer-aided measurement plan (CAMP) for an impeller on a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) with a rotating/tilting probe. The blade surfaces of a machined impeller were measured exactly to secure the machining tolerance and surface finish of the impeller. CMM with a rotating and tilting probe is commonly used for this measurement. However, it is not easy to evaluate all the points on the impeller surfaces due to the time-consuming nature of the CMM measurement. In addition, many points cannot be easily accessed by the CMM probe due to the interference between the probe and the impeller blades. Furthermore, the inherent complexity of the existing teaching operation of a probe using a joystick suggests the necessity of developing a new method for the measurement planning of an impeller. Thus, this paper proposes a CAMP for effectively gauging the inspection points based on the ruled line information of the impeller blade surfaces. The proposed plan partitions the surfaces into several measurement regions based on the ruled lines of a blade surface and the approach vectors of the probe. Finally, a case example for an impeller is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

When assessing the structural role of an industry sector within an economic system, considering its relationship to other sectors is crucial. Among others, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry, one of the innovation accelerators or key engines of economic growth, is evaluated. Specifically, we analyze inter-industry production inducement linkages within a qualitative input–output analysis framework, since it is useful for understanding the key structure of an economic system. Our purpose is to understand the significant spillover structure of the Republic of Korea’s ICT industry within the national production system, as it has played an important role in the national economy and grown dramatically over the years. The findings from the structural analysis, focused on changes in links, are as follows: First, ICT manufacturing showed a higher degree of heterogeneity than ICT service sectors in its sensitivity effects structure, an indication that this sector needs to be utilized in various other industries. Second, the spectrum of industries having significant production inducement linkages with the ICT industry is limited and furthermore, the influence effects of the ICT manufacturing sector diminished considerably although the ICT industry’s sensitivity effects increased. Finally, intra-industry linkages within the ICT industry are gradually strengthened especially between ICT services and manufacturing. These findings call for sustained policy efforts to promote the virtuous circle in the overall inter-industry production inducement system, by increasing the utilization of products and services from other sectors by ICT sectors (especially ICT manufacturing) as well as the application of ICT in other sectors.  相似文献
