This paper addresses the problem of designing robust stabilizing controllers for a class of cable-stayed flexible structures. The dynamic behaviour of the structure is characterized by a beam decomposed into a finite number of concentrated masses. The mathematical model exhibits uncertainties in parameters, stay cable geometry and couplings, as well as in the unknown environmental excitation. The controller design is made based on the principle of sliding mode to reduce the magnitude of the transverse vibrations of the structure induced by the environmental excitation. A numerical simulation example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.  相似文献

The combination of lithography and ion implantation is demonstrated to be a suitable method to prepare lateral multilayers. A laterally, compositionally, and magnetically modulated microscale pattern consisting of alternating Co (1.6 µm wide) and Co‐CoO (2.4 µm wide) lines has been obtained by oxygen ion implantation into a lithographically masked Au‐sandwiched Co thin film. Magnetoresistance along the lines (i.e., current and applied magnetic field are parallel to the lines) reveals an effective positive giant magnetoresistance (GMR) behavior at room temperature. Conversely, anisotropic magnetoresistance and GMR contributions are distinguished at low temperature (i.e., 10 K) since the O‐implanted areas become exchange coupled. This planar GMR is principally ascribed to the spatial modulation of coercivity in a spring‐magnet‐type configuration, which results in 180° Néel extrinsic domain walls at the Co/Co‐CoO interfaces. The versatility, in terms of pattern size, morphology, and composition adjustment, of this method offers a unique route to fabricate planar systems for, among others, spintronic research and applications.  相似文献

In the Internet, where millions of users are a click away from your site, being able to dynamically classify the workload in real time, and predict its short term behavior, is crucial for proper self-management and business efficiency. As workloads vary significantly according to current time of day, season, promotions and linking, it becomes impractical for some ecommerce sites to keep over-dimensioned infrastructures to accommodate the whole load. When server resources are exceeded, session-based admission control systems allow maintaining a high throughput in terms of properly finished sessions and QoS for a limited number of sessions; however, by denying access to excess users, the website looses potential customers.In the present study we describe the architecture of AUGURES, a system that learns to predict Web user’s intentions for visiting the site as well its resource usage. Predictions are made from information known at the time of their first request and later from navigational clicks. For this purpose we use machine learning techniques and Markov-chain models. The system uses these predictions to automatically shape QoS for the most profitable sessions, predict short-term resource needs, and dynamically provision servers according to the expected revenue and the cost to serve it. We test the AUGURES prototype on access logs from a high-traffic, online travel agency, obtaining promising results.  相似文献

We present three velocity‐based updated Lagrangian formulations for standard and quasi‐incompressible hypoelastic‐plastic solids. Three low‐order finite elements are derived and tested for non‐linear solid mechanics problems. The so‐called V‐element is based on a standard velocity approach, while a mixed velocity–pressure formulation is used for the VP and the VPS elements. The two‐field problem is solved via a two‐step Gauss–Seidel partitioned iterative scheme. First, the momentum equations are solved in terms of velocity increments, as for the V‐element. Then, the constitutive relation for the pressure is solved using the updated velocities obtained at the previous step. For the VPS‐element, the formulation is stabilized using the finite calculus method in order to solve problems involving quasi‐incompressible materials. All the solid elements are validated by solving two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional benchmark problems in statics as in dynamics. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Candida albicans (CA) infections have been associated with psoriasis onset or disease flares. However, the integrated immune response against this fungus is still poorly characterized in psoriasis. We studied specific immunoglobulins in plasma and the CA response in cocultures of circulating memory CD45RA cutaneous lymphocyte antigen (CLA)+/− T cell with autologous epidermal cells from plaque and guttate psoriasis patients (cohort 1, n = 52), and also healthy individuals (n = 17). A complete proteomic profile was also evaluated in plaque psoriasis patients (cohort 2, n = 114) regarding their anti-CA IgA levels. Increased anti-CA IgA and IgG levels are present in the plasma from plaque but not guttate psoriasis compared to healthy controls. CA cellular response is confined to CLA+ T cells and is primarily Th17. The levels of anti-CA IgA are directly associated with CLA+ Th17 response in plaque psoriasis. Proteomic analysis revealed distinct profiles in psoriasis patients with high anti-CA IgA. C-C motif chemokine ligand 18, chitinase-3-like protein 1 and azurocidin were significantly elevated in the plasma from plaque psoriasis patients with high anti-CA levels and severe disease. Our results indicate a mechanism by which Candida albicans exposure can trigger a clinically relevant IL-17 response in psoriasis. Assessing anti-CA IgA levels may be useful in order to evaluate chronic psoriasis patients.  相似文献

This paper investigates selective sharing of load current components among the parallel operation of distributed generators (DGs) in three-phase four-wire stand-alone microgrids. The proposed control method is based on master-slave operation of DGs, and the goal of selective sharing of load current components is to have DGs located in close proximity of the load operating in slave mode, in order to inject their available energy and also compensate the non-active load current components, while the distant DGs might operate in master mode to share the remaining load autonomously. Droop control is employed due to impracticality of communication at remote nodes, and resistive line impedance compensation is adopted to decouple active and reactive power controllers and ensure proper active power sharing among master DGs, irrespective of the mitigation of non-active current components by the slave inverters. The sharing factors for each current component are determined by a higher level control. The Conservative Power Theory (CPT) decompositions provide decoupled power and current references for the inverters, resulting in a selective sharing strategy. The principles supporting the developed control strategy are discussed, and the effectiveness of the control is demonstrated through computational simulations using PSIM software.  相似文献

就IEC 60794.4.1标准所描述的雷击试验要求,对不同OPGW光缆设计进行了研究,并分析了雷击对不同OPGW缆型的影响。提高连续电流——组成部分C(最具破坏性的部分)的电荷转移量,光缆的残余抗拉强度将随之降低。当电荷转移量大于100C时,光缆被损坏程度更多地取决于光缆的直径而不是外层绞线的直径。试验结果表明,为了设计出可靠并经济的OPGW光缆,我们必须综合考虑OPGW的机械性能和依据安装地的年雷暴日水平所必需的抗雷击性能。  相似文献

Effective slack management, i.e., management of unused computing resources, for real-time control tasks mandates to redistribute the available resources between controllers as a function of the state of the controlled plants. Slack can be allocated to control tasks to alter their rate of progress via e.g., the controllers’ period, in order to adapt their behavior to changes in the computing platform and in the environment. This paper presents an experimental evaluation of two representative slack redistribution policies for multitasking real-time control systems: “coordinated” vs. “self-triggered”. In the coordinated policy a resource manager is responsible for modifying each control task progress. Alternatively, in the self-triggered policy, each control task decides its progress. The demands that each policy poses to the computing platform are analyzed and different operating system architectures providing flexibility and adaptivity are discussed. A proof-of-concept implementation including the real-time control of three double integrator plants in the form of electronic circuits is presented, and a complete performance analysis is reported.  相似文献

We report on the fabrication of polyelectrolyte multilayer-coated hollow silicon dioxide micropillars as pH-responsive drug delivery systems. Silicon dioxide micropillars are based on macroporous silicon formed by electrochemical etching. Due to their hollow core capable of being loaded with chemically active agents, silicon dioxide micropillars provide additional function such as drug delivery system. The polyelectrolyte multilayer was assembled by the layer-by-layer technique based on the alternative deposition of cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes. The polyelectrolyte pair poly(allylamine hydrochloride) and sodium poly(styrene sulfonate) exhibited pH-responsive properties for the loading and release of a positively charged drug doxorubicin. The drug release rate was observed to be higher at pH 5.2 compared to that at pH 7.4. Furthermore, we assessed the effect of the number of polyelectrolyte bilayers on the drug release loading and release rate. Thus, this hybrid composite could be potentially applicable as a pH-controlled system for localized drug release.  相似文献
