Clozapine is an atypical antipsychotic agent that is more effective than the standard neuroleptics currently used for treating refractory schizophrenia. In addition, clozapine is a drug with few extrapyramidal side effects. However, clozapine is also associated with potentially serious adverse effects, such as cardiac complications as well as agranulocytosis. Clozapine-related cardiomyopathy has not been previously reported in East Asia. This report describes a 31-year-old Korean male patient with schizophrenia who developed dilated cardiomyopathy on treatment with clozapine. The removal of clozapine caused subsequent physical improvement. However, the readministration of clozapine for managing relapse of psychosis caused a recurrence of dilated cardiomyopathy in this patient. Therefore, this is the 1st report showing that the 2nd trial of clozapine caused recurrence of cardiomyopathy associated with clozapine. Thus, this report adds important support for a causal relation between clozapine and cardiac complications. In conclusion, this report attempts to raise awareness of clozapine-related cardiomyopathy. In this paper, a new set of moment invariants with respect to rotation, translation, and scaling suitable for recognition of objects having N-fold rotation symmetry are presented. Moment invariants described earlier cannot be used for this purpose because most moments of symmetric objects vanish. The invariants proposed here are based on complex moments. Their independence and completeness are proven theoretically and their performance is demonstrated by experiments.  相似文献

Radioprotection of mice by dietary squalene   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Male C3H mice were fed a diet containing 2% squalene for 14 d prior to and 30 d subsequent to exposure to 6, 7 or 8 Gy of whole body γ-irradiation (Cesium-137). After 14 d on squalene-supplemented diet, plasma and jejunal tissue squalene levels were 2X and 15X that of controls. Seven days after irradiation, total white cell counts and total lymphocyte counts were substantially depressed in a radiation dose-dependent manner. Although counts in the squalene group were consistently (18–119%) higher than those in the corresponding dietary control group, the differences between dietary groups at any single dose were not significant. Nuclear area of villus cells in the jejunum of both dietary groups was significantly reduced (20%) by day 11 post-irradiation but the nuclear area in squalene-fed mice was significantly greater (15%) than in controls, before and after irradiation. There were no differences in body weight as a function of either diet or radiation dose prior to the first observations of animal lethality. Animal survival was decreased from 100 to 0% at 30 d post-irradiation by radiation doses of 6–8 Gy, with the greatest difference between dietary groups being observed at 7 Gy (median survival times of 12 and 16 d for control and squalene groups, respectively). Overall, survival of squalene-fed mice was significantly prolonged compared with control-fed mice (P=0.0054 by censored multiple regression analysis). It is concluded that squalene conferred some cellular and systemic radioprotection to mice receiving these lethal whole-body radiation doses.  相似文献

The Stewart platform manipulator is a closed-kinematics chain robot manipulator that is capable of providing high structural rigidity and positional accuracy. However, this is a complex and nonlinear system, so the control performance of the system is not so good. In this paper, a new robust motion control algorithm is proposed. The algorithm uses partial state feedback for a class of nonlinear systems with modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. The major contribution is the design of a robust observer for the state and the perturbation of the Stewart platform, which is combined with a variable structure controller (VSC). The combination of controller and observer provides the robust routine called sliding mode control with sliding perturbation observer (SMCSPO). The optimal gains of SMCSPO, which is determined by nominal eigenvalues, are easily obtained by genetic algorithm. The proposed fitness function that evaluates the gain optimization is to put sliding function. The control performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by the simulation and experiment to apply to the Stewart platform. The results showed high accuracy and good performance.  相似文献

Rectal poloxamer gel systems composed of poloxamers and bioadhesive polymers were easy to administer to the anus and were mucoadhesive to the rectal tissues without leakage after the dose. However, a poloxamer gel containing diclofenac sodium could not be developed using bioadhesive polymers, since the drug was precipitated in this preparation. To develop a poloxamer gel using sodium chloride instead of bioadhesive polymers, the physicochemical properties such as gelation temperature, gel strength, and bioadhesive force of various formulations composed of diclofenac sodium, poloxamers, and sodium chloride were investigated. Furthermore, the pharmacokinetic study of diclofenac sodium delivered by the poloxamer gel was performed. Diclofenac sodium significantly increased the gelation temperature and weakened the gel strength and bioadhesive force, while sodium chloride did the opposite. The poloxamer gels with less than 1.0% sodium chloride, in which the drug was not precipitated, were inserted into the rectum without difficulty and leakage, and were retained in the rectum of rats for at least 6 hr. Furthermore, poloxamer gel gave significantly higher initial plasma concentrations and faster Tmax of diclofenac sodium than did solid suppository, indicating that drug from poloxamer gel could be absorbed faster than that from the solid one in rats. Our results suggested that a rectal poloxamer gel system with sodium chloride and poloxamers was a more physically stable, convenient, and effective rectal dosage form for diclofenac sodium.  相似文献

Stimuli‐responsive carriers releasing multiple drugs have been researched for synergistic combinatorial cancer treatment with reduced side‐effects. However, previously used drug carriers have limitations in encapsulating multiple drug components in a single carrier and releasing each drug independently. In this work, pH‐sensitive, multimodulated, anisotropic drug carrier particles are synthesized using an acid‐cleavable polymer and stop‐flow lithography. The particles exhibit a faster drug release rate at the acidic pH of tumors than at physiological pH, demonstrating their potential for tumor‐selective drug release. The drug release rate of the particles can be adjusted by controlling the monomer composition. To accomplish multimodulated drug release, multicompartmental particles are synthesized. The drug release profile of each compartment is programmed by tailoring the monomer composition. These pH‐sensitive, multicompartmental particles are promising drug carriers enabling tumor‐selective and multimodulated release of multiple drugs for synergistic combination cancer therapy.  相似文献

This article describes the synthesis of robust decentralized controllers for large-scale discrete-time systems with uncertainties. Based on the Lyapunov method, a sufficient condition for robust stability is derived in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI). The solutions of the LMI can be easily obtained using efficient convex optimization techniques. A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method.  相似文献

Mesoporous hybrid network of reduced graphene oxide (rG‐O) and layered MnO2 nanosheets could act as an efficient immobilization matrix for improving the electrochemical activity of layered double hydroxide (LDH). The control of MnO2/rG‐O ratio is crucial in optimizing the porous structure and electrical conductivity of the resulting hybrid structure. The immobilization of Co‐Al‐LDH on hybrid MnO2/rG‐O network is more effective in enhancing its electrode activity compared with that of on pure rG‐O network. The Co‐Al‐LDH?rG‐O?MnO2 nanohybrid deliveres a greater specific capacitance than does MnO2‐free Co‐Al‐LDH?rG‐O nanohybrid. The beneficial effect of MnO2 incorporation on the electrode performance of nanohybrid is more prominent for higher current density and faster scan rate, underscoring the significant enhancement of the electron transport of Co‐Al‐LDH?rG‐O. This is supported by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The present study clearly demonstrates the usefulness of the porously assembled hybrid network of graphene and metal oxide nanosheets as an effective platform for exploring efficient LDH‐based functional materials.  相似文献

For the Visible Korean Human (VKH), a male cadaver was serially ground off to acquire the serially sectioned images (SSIs) of a whole human body. Thereafter, more than 700 structures in the SSIs were outlined to produce detailed segmented images; the SSIs and segmented images were volume- and surface-reconstructed to create three-dimensional models. For outlining and reconstruction, popular software (Photoshop, MRIcro, Maya, AutoCAD, 3ds max, and Rhino) was mainly used; the technique can be reproduced by other investigators for creating their own images. For refining the segmentation and volume reconstruction, the VOXEL-MAN system was used. The continuously upgraded technique was applied to a female cadaver's pelvis to produce the SSIs with 0.1mm sized intervals and 0.1mm x 0.1mm sized pixels. The VKH data, distributed worldwide, encouraged researchers to develop virtual dissection, virtual endoscopy, and virtual lumbar puncture contributing to medical education and clinical practice. In the future, a virtual image library including all the Visible Human Project data, Chinese Visible Human data, and VKH data will hopefully be established where users will be able to download one of the data sets for medical applications.  相似文献
