Energy is an essential factor to achieve sustainable development. So, countries striving to this end are seeking to reassess their energy systems with a view towards planning energy programmes and strategies in line with sustainable development goals and objectives. As would be expected, the rapid expansion of energy production and consumption has brought with it a wide range of environmental issues at the local, regional and global levels. States have played a leading role in protecting the environment by reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. Turkey is an energy importing country with more than half of the energy requirement being supplied by imports, and air pollution is becoming a great environmental concern in the country. On the other hand, Turkey's geographical location has several advantages for extensive use of most of the renewable energy sources. In this regard, renewable energy resources appear the most efficient and effective solutions for clean and sustainable energy development in Turkey. In the long run, the widespread use of slide scanners by pathologists requires an adaptation of teaching methods in histology and cytology in order to target these new possibilities of image processing and presentation via the internet. Accordingly, we were looking for a tool with the possibility to teach microscopic anatomy, histology, and cytology of tissue samples which would be able to combine image data from light and electron microscopes independently of microscope suppliers. With the example of a section through the villus of jejunum, we describe here how to process image data from light and electron microscopes in order to get one image‐stack which allows a correlation of structures from the microscopic anatomic to the cytological level. With commercially available image‐presentation software that we adapted to our needs, we present here a platform which allows for the presentation of this new but also of older material independently of microscope suppliers. Surface-modified inorganic powders were applied as additives to plain salt-in-polymer polymeric electrolytes in order to enhance their properties and make them applicable in all-solid-state Li-polymer primary and secondary cells. These fillers consisted of alumina and titania powders (coarse and nano-sized) with superacidic groups introduced onto their surface. Then they were added to low and high molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) (PEODME 500 and PEO 4,000,000) together with lithium perchlorate (LiClO4, lithium tetraoxochlorate(VII)). In this way several different composite electrolytes were obtained that exhibited excellent stability versus lithium metal electrode and high lithium transference number. The effects of frozen storage and initial baking time of par‐baked cake on baking loss, volume, moisture, colour and textural properties of cake obtained after thawing and rebaking were investigated. Cakes, par‐baked at 175 °C for 15, 20 and 25 min, were stored at ?18 °C for 3, 6 and 9 months. After storage, par‐baked cakes were thawed and rebaked at 175 °C for 10, 15 and 20 min. Baking loss, moisture content, L and +b colour values, firmness, gumminess and chewiness of the resulting full‐baked cakes were significantly affected by both par‐baking and frozen storage time, while specific volume, cohesiveness, springiness and resilience values were significantly affected by frozen storage time. The increase in the time of frozen storage of the par‐baked cake leads to a decrease in the quality of the rebaked cake, namely an increase of baking loss and cake crumb firmness, and a loss in the moisture content and specific volume. Moisture of cake crumb, L and +b colour values, firmness, gumminess and chewiness significantly increased as the par‐baking time increased. However, regarding baking loss, specific volume, moisture content and textural properties, 3‐month intermediate storage at ?18 °C and 20‐min initial baking time gave the best result among the cakes produced by using the two‐step baking procedure. 相似文献

The paper focuses on the application possibilities of the newly presented voltage differencing active building block called voltage differencing differential difference amplifier. Using this active element, a multifunction frequency filter is designed featuring the possibility of mutually independent control of quality factor Q and characteristic frequency \(\omega _0\) by means of active elements. The structure of the filter is based on the idea of the Akerberg-Mossberg (AM) filter, i.e. the integrators in the structure are always realized only by two active elements. This fact results in better phase compensation for the filter. Compared to the AM opamp based filter, the newly proposed structure features high-impedance inputs, low-impedance output, and all basic frequency responses. The performance of the proposed structure has been verified by SPICE simulations using the TSMC \(0.18\,\upmu \hbox {m}\) level-7 SCN018 CMOS process parameters with \(\pm 0.9\,\hbox {V}\) supply voltage. 相似文献

This report concerns the properties of an interface formed between Pd films deposited onto the surface of (0001)-oriented n-type GaN at room temperature (RT) under ultrahigh vacuum. The surface of clean substrate and the stages of Pd-film growth were characterized in situ by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), and low energy electron diffraction (LEED). As-deposited Pd films are grainy, cover the substrate surface uniformly and reproduce its topography. Electron affinity of the clean n-GaN surface amounts to 3.1 eV. The work function of the Pd-film is equal to 5.3 eV. No chemical interaction has been found at the Pd/GaN interface formed at RT. The Schottky barrier height of the Pd/GaN contact is equal to 1.60 eV. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Mechanization of Rosa damascena flower harvest is limited because of the asynchronous flowering period, the necessity for the harvest operation to take place in the early hour of the morning, and a lack of knowledge regarding the physical–mechanical properties of R. damascena. This study investigated the effect of harvesting hour on some physical–mechanical properties of R. damascena. RESULTS: The terminal velocity of the rose flower ranged from 4.00 to 2.38 m s?1. The highest picking force was found to be 6.29 N for the harvesting hour of 06:00 am. Tear forces of petal changed from 1.54 to 0.97 N for the harvesting hour of 06:00 am and 12:00 pm, respectively. The tension force of pedicel varied between 8.25 and 7.76 N. The weight of the rose flower was measured as an average of 1.61 and 1.50 g at 06:00 am and 12:00 pm, respectively. Horizontal and vertical projection areas of rose flowers were positively correlated with harvesting hour, with an R2 of 0.97 and 0.75, respectively. Results showed that there was a minor loss in colour for both inner and outer surfaces of petals. CONCLUSION: The results of physical–mechanical properties of R. damascena obtained from this study should be considered for the operation of flower harvest mechanization. Scaling has been identified as a particularly important element of the Severe Accident Research Program because of its relevance not only to experimentation, but also to analyses based on code calculations or special models. Recognizing the central importance of severe accident scaling issues, the United States Regulatory Commission implemented a Severe Accident Scaling Methodology (SASM) development program involving a lead laboratory contractor and a Technical Program Group to guide the development and to demonstrate its practicality via a challenging application. The Technical Program Group recognized that the Severe Accident Scaling Methodology was an integral part of a larger structure for technical issue resolution and, therefore, found the need to define and document this larger structure, the Integrated Structure for Technical Issue Resolution (ISTIR). The larger part of the efforts have been devoted to the development and demonstration of the Severe Accident Scaling Methodology, which is Component II of the ISTIR. The ISTIR and the SASM have been tested and demonstrated, by their application to a postulated direct containment heating scenario. The ISTIR objectives and process are summarized in this paper, as is its demonstration associated directly with the SASM. Energy and exergy analysis were carried out for a combined‐cycle power plant by using the data taken from its units in operation to analyse a complex energy system more thoroughly and to identify the potential for improving efficiency of the system. In this context, energy and exergy fluxes at the inlet and the exit of the devices in one of the power plant main units as well as the energy and exergy losses were determined. The results show that combustion chambers, gas turbines and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) are the main sources of irreversibilities representing more than 85% of the overall exergy losses. The MAGE-1 gene encodes a protein encompassing a HLA-A1-restricted target epitope for cytolytic T lymphocytes. Monoclonal antibodies directed against the MAGE-1 protein were tested for usage in immunohistology of routine pathology material. Seven formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded malignant melanomas were studied by the Avidin-Biotin complex (ABC) method with or without different antigen retrieval methods. Native, frozen tissues from the same tumours were used to validate the results by immunohistochemistry on frozen sections, by PCR for mRNA and by protein demonstration in tissue extracts using western blotting. Of 4 monoclonal antibodies tested, mAB 34B and mAB 77B were highly efficient in detecting MAGE-1 protein in deparaffinised sections with the regular ABC method after microwave pretreatment. In a series of an additional 28 patients 75% expressed MAGE-1, 50% in a substantial proportion. Follow-up studies in 6 patients indicate that the expression pattern remains stable but may change substantially within a short range. Immunohistology is thus a rapid and well-established method that might be used to select and monitor HLA-A1 positive patients with malignant melanoma and other candidate tumours for MAGE-1-directed immuno-therapy. 相似文献
