Since the early 1970s tremendous growth has been seen in the research of software reliability growth modeling.In general, software reliability growth models (SRGMs) are applicable to the late stages of testing in software development and they can provide useful information about how to improve the reliability of software products.A number of SRGMs have been proposed in the literature to represent time-dependent fault identification/removal phenomenon;still new models are being proposed that could fit a greater number of reliability growth curves.Often,it is assumed that detected faults axe immediately corrected when mathematical models are developed.This assumption may not be realistic in practice because the time to remove a detected fault depends on the complexity of the fault,the skill and experience of the personnel,the size of the debugging team,the technique,and so on.Thus,the detected fault need not be immediately removed,and it may lag the fault detection process by a delay effect factor.In this paper,we first review how different software reliability growth models have been developed,where fault detection process is dependent not only on the number of residual fault content but also on the testing time,and see how these models can be reinterpreted as the delayed fault detection model by using a delay effect factor.Based on the power function of the testing time concept,we propose four new SRGMs that assume the presence of two types of faults in the software:leading and dependent faults.Leading faults are those that can be removed upon a failure being observed.However,dependent faults are masked by leading faults and can only be removed after the corresponding leading fault has been removed with a debugging time lag.These models have been tested on real software error data to show its goodness of fit,predictive validity and applicability.  相似文献

A one‐dimensional mathematical model has been used for a three‐sector desiccant wheel (two sectors with purge) with different flow arrangements. The model considers both gas and solid side resistance and shows a good agreement with experimental results. This model has been used to conduct a comparative performance analysis in both the effective adsorption and effective regeneration sector of a desiccant wheel. It was found that an effective regeneration sector gives better results for the performance parameters (rotation of wheel, regeneration temperature, velocity, and ambient moisture) as compared to an effective adsorption sector. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The aim of this report is to build a portable solar thermal bank based on a Scheffler reflector that is capable of boiling-type cooking using HITEC as a thermal storage material. This report reviews the problems related to solar cooking and evaluates the novel layout of a portable solar thermal bank which includes a daily thermal storage vessel. This stove is in the shape of a cylindrical container filled with phase-changing latent heat storage material. Inside the container, we provide a small gap taking into account the volumetric expansion of the phase change material (PCM) during the melting process. The solar thermal bank is charged in the sun. It is placed directly for a few hours under the focus of a Scheffler reflector, which charges the solar thermal bank with enough thermal energy stored. After a while, the cooking process can be completed by users using that stored heat. The top cavity is used as a cooking pot in a solar thermal bank. Cooking meals do not require direct sunlight, which is typical for most solar cookers. The portable solar thermal bank is an alternative for low-income households and adapts to local traditions of indoor cooking. It is portable and can be used safely to cook indoors or outdoors. In this study, a solar cooker with a thermal storage device was developed using a PCM. The size of the stove has been calculated by calculating the energy consumption for two to three people. HITEC salt has been chosen as a phase change material for thermal storage, which will be used for cooking when there is no sunlight. It enhances the applicability of solar cooking and preserves cooking possibilities using energy stored throughout the day at low production costs.  相似文献

Using a newly developed embedded-atom-method potential for Mg–Nb, the semi-coherent Mg/Nb interface with the Kurdjumov–Sachs orientation relationship is studied. Atomistic simulations have been carried out to understand the shear strength of the interface, as well as the interaction between lattice glide dislocations and the interface. The interface shear mechanisms are dependent on the shear loading directions, through either interface sliding between Mg and Nb atomic layers or nucleation and gliding of Shockley partial dislocations in between the first two atomic planes in Mg at the interface. The shear strength for the Mg/Nb interface is found to be generally high, in the range of 0.9–1.3 GPa depending on the shear direction. As a consequence, the extents of dislocation core spread into the interface are considerably small, especially when compared to the case of other “weak” interfaces such as the Cu/Nb interface.  相似文献

In this work, we propose a mapping function based feature transformation framework for developing consonant–vowel (CV) recognition system in the emotional environment. An effective way of conveying messages is by expressing emotions during human conversations. The characteristics of CV units differ from one emotion to other emotions. The performance of existing CV recognition systems is degraded in emotional environments. Therefore, we have proposed mapping functions based on artificial neural network and GMM models for increasing the accuracy of CV recognition in the emotional environment. The CV recognition system has been explored to transform emotional features to neutral features using proposed mapping functions at CV and phone levels to minimize mismatch between training and testing environments. Vowel onset and offset points have been used to identify vowel, consonant and transition segments. Transition segments are identified by considering initial 15% speech samples between vowel onset and offset points. The average performance of CV recognition system is increased significantly using feature mapping technique at phone level in three emotional environments (anger, happiness, and sadness).  相似文献

Nanocrystalline powders of co-doped ceria oxides Ce0.85La0.10Sr0.05O2-δ (CLSO) and Ce0.85Gda0.10Sr0.05O2-δ (CGSO) have been synthesized by auto combustion method at 100°C using sucrose as fuel. Thermal analysis (TGA/DSC) of as-prepared powders indicated calcination above 400°C to remove organic residue. The average grain size of the pellets sintered at 1200°C for 4 hours is 436 and 683 nm for CLSO and CGSO, respectively. The electrical conductivity of the sintered samples was determined by impedance measurements in the temperature range 300°C to 600°C and the frequency range 20 Hz to 2 MHz. At 600°C, the total electrical conductivity (σt) of CGSO is 6.78 × 10−3 S cm−1, 2.5 times higher than 2.72 × 10−3 S cm−1 of CLSO. Further, it is found that the value of grain boundaries blocking factor (αgb) of CGSO is 0.47 which is 30% lesser than 0.68 of CLSO at 600°C. The higher value of electrical conductivity of CGSO as compared to CLSO is attributed to the lesser blocking effect of grain boundaries, smaller lattice distortion and denser microstructure of CGSO as compared to CLSO. The electrical conductivity of synthesized samples has been compared with the electrical conductivity of similar compositions of co-doped CeO2 oxides. Our study indicated that the sintering temperature, and hence, the morphology of sintered samples has a significant role in determining the electrical conductivity. The presence of oxygen vacancies in the synthesized samples is experimentally supported by using UV-visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and thermal analysis techniques.  相似文献

Coal is the most abundant energy source, and around 40% of the world's electricity is produced by coal combustion. The emission generated through it put a constraint on power production by coal combustion. There is a need to reduce the emissions generated through it to utilize the enormous energy of coal for power production. Detailed understanding of various aspects of coal combustion is required to reduce the emissions from coal‐fired furnaces. The aim of present paper is to review various aspects of pulverized coal combustion such as oxy‐fuel combustion, co‐combustion of coal and biomass, emissions from pulverized coal furnaces, ash formation and deposition, and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technologies to outline the progress made in these aspects. Both experimental and numerical aspects are included in this review. This review also discusses the thermodynamic aspects of the combustion process. Furthermore, the effect of various submodels such as devolatilization models, char combustion models, radiation models, and turbulent models on the process of pulverized coal combustion has been investigated in this paper.  相似文献
