We have studied the effect of illumination on the current-voltage characteristics and the temperature dependence of conductivity of MnGaInS4 single crystals. Under illumination, the current in a sample was 104–105 times the dark value. It is established that the light-induced current buildup is due to the carrier release from the traps filled under illumination. The energy positions of levels are determined.  相似文献

Motion picture films are susceptible to local degradations such as dust spots. Other deteriorations are global such as intensity and spatial jitter. It is obvious that motion needs to be compensated for before the detection/correction of such local and dynamic defects. Therefore, we propose a hierarchical motion estimation method ideally suited for high resolution film sequences. This recursive block-based motion estimator relies on an adaptive search strategy and Radon projections to improve processing speed. The localization of dust particles then becomes straightforward. Thus, it is achieved by simple inter-frame differences between the current image and motion compensated successive and preceding frames. However, the detection of spatial and intensity jitter requires a specific process taking advantage of the high temporal correlation in the image sequence. In this paper, we present our motion compensation-based algorithms for removing dust spots, spatial and intensity jitter in degraded motion pictures. Experimental results are presented showing the usefulness of our motion estimator for film restoration at reasonable computational costs. Electrooptics and dynamics of twisted nematic-cholesteric liquid crystal (LC) droplets occurring in an isotropic environment in a dc electric field have been studied. The twist of the LC director field significantly influences the character of rotation of the cholesteric droplets. The most probable mechanism accounting for the rotation of cholesteric droplets is related to the Carr-Helfrich electrohydrodynamic instability.  相似文献

This article presents the first application of the Finite Calculus (FIC) in a Ritz-FEM variational framework. FIC provides a steplength parametrization of mesh dimensions, which is used to modify the shape functions. This approach is applied to the FEM discretization of the steady-state, one-dimensional, diffusion–absorption and Helmholtz equations. Parametrized linear shape functions are directly inserted into a FIC functional. The resulting Ritz-FIC equations are symmetric and carry a element-level free parameter coming from the function modification process. Both constant- and variable-coefficient cases are studied. It is shown that the parameter can be used to produce nodally exact solutions for the constant coefficient case. The optimal value is found by matching the finite-order modified differential equation (FOMoDE) of the Ritz-FIC equations with the original field equation. The inclusion of the Ritz-FIC models in the context of templates is examined. This inclusion shows that there is an infinite number of nodally exact models for the constant coefficient case. The ingredients of these methods (FIC, Ritz, MoDE and templates) can be extended to multiple dimensions  相似文献

A scientific basis for the evaluation of the risk to public health arising from excessive dietary intake of nitrate in Korea is provided. The nitrate () and nitrite () contents of various vegetables (Chinese cabbage, radish, lettuce, spinach, soybean sprouts, onion, pumpkin, green onion, cucumber, potato, carrot, garlic, green pepper, cabbage and Allium tuberosum Roth known as Crown daisy) are reported. Six hundred samples of 15 vegetables cultivated during different seasons were analysed for nitrate and nitrite by ion chromatography and ultraviolet spectrophotometry, respectively. No significant variance in nitrate levels was found for most vegetables cultivated during the summer and winter harvests. The mean nitrates level was higher in A. tuberosum Roth (5150 mg kg(-1)) and spinach (4259 mg kg(-1)), intermediate in radish (1878 mg kg(-1)) and Chinese cabbage (1740 mg kg(-1)), and lower in onion (23 mg kg(-1)), soybean sprouts (56 mg kg(-1)) and green pepper (76 mg kg(-1)) compared with those in other vegetables. The average nitrite contents in various vegetables were about 0.6 mg kg(-1), and the values were not significantly different among most vegetables. It was observed that nitrate contents in vegetables varied depending on the type of vegetables and were similar to those in vegetables grown in other countries. From the results of our studies and other information from foreign sources, it can be concluded that it is not necessary to establish limits of nitrates contents of vegetables cultivated in Korea due to the co-presence of beneficial elements such as ascorbic acid and alpha-tocopherol which are known to inhibit the formation of nitrosamine.  相似文献

Thick films of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) containing very finemetallic powder, copper (Cu), iron (Fe) and aluminum (Al) 2.5% by weight,were prepared by the casting method. The temperature dependence of Young'smodulus at constant stress, the stress dependence of Young's modulus(Y), the stress dependence of dielectric constant (ε) and stressdependence of phonon velocity, were studied. It was found that Young'smodulus (Y) of the pure sample has the lowest value and that of PVA + Alhas the highest value. This can be explained on the basis that Ydepends on the ratio between the energy of molecular interactions andthe energy of thermal motion of the sample units. We also found that thedielectric constant increases with the addition of metallic powder, andwith an increasing applied stress. The phonon velocity increased withincreasing stress. The increase of stress decreases imperfectionsleading to the increased phonon velocity. The electronic absorptionspectra of PVA is not affected by doping Al and Fe, whereas the PVA dopedwith Cu shows a shift of the absorption maxima toward a longer wavelength.The instantaneous elastic behavior may be observed only at lowtemperatures and very short creep times.  相似文献

The purpose of the paper is to apply monotone multigrid methods to static and dynamic biomechanical contact problems. In space, a finite element method involving a mortar discretization of the contact conditions is used. In time, a new contact-stabilized Newmark scheme is presented. Numerical experiments for a two body Hertzian contact problem and a biomechanical application are reported. This work was supported by the DFG Research Center Matheon.  相似文献

Modern computers have enjoyed increasing storage capacity, but the mechanisms that harness this storage power haven't improved proportionally. Whether current desktops have scaled to handle the enormous number of files computers must handle compared to just a few years ago is doubtful at best. Scalability includes not only fault tolerance or performance stability of tools for users to harness this power. The lack of appropriate structures and tools for locating, navigating, relating, and sharing bulky file sets is preventing users from harnessing their PCs' full storage power. Powering desktops with metadata, leading to the semantic desktop, is a promising way to realize this potential. The seMouse approach realizes the promising vision of the semantic desktop. This approach provides seamless integration between file-centered tooling and semantically aware, resource-centered applications.  相似文献

The results of investigations of the operation of the IGRIK pulsed homogeneous solution research complex in the unconventional (for pulsed reactors) two-pulse mode with successive reactivity increments with generation of prompt-or delayed-neutron pulses are presented. Experimental data which give an idea of the processes occurring in the reactor core in the two-pulse regime are obtained. These data made it possible to determine whether or not the IGRIK reactor can be operated in this regime and the limitations imposed by the physical processes and special design characteristics of the system. It is shown that are pulses can be generated in several different ways. The dependences of the fission-pulse characteristics in a given regime on the initial conditions and the methods for obtaining the pulses are investigated.
