CeO2–ZrO2 solid solution catalysts are very effective for the selective synthesis of dimethyl carbonate from methanol and CO2. The activity was much dependent on the calcination temperature. Effects of application of ultrasonic power (20 kHz, 100 W) on the crystallization behavior of tripalmitoylglycerol (PPP) and
cocoa butter have been examined in terms of rate of nucleation and polymorphic control. High-purity PPP (>99%) and low-purity
PPP (>80%) samples were employed to mimic real fat systems, which usually have higher concentrations of minor components in
addition to the main component. For both the high-purity and low-purity PPP, the application of ultrasonic power accelerated
the rate of nucleation as measured by induction time for the occurrence of crystals and by the number of crystals nucleated.
As for the polymorphic influences, the nucleation of both the β′ and β forms was accelerated by the ultrasound, yet the β′
form nucleation was more accelerated when the low-purity PPP samples were employed. As for cocoa butter, sonication for a
short period accelerated the crystallization of Form V. The present results indicate that ultrasound irradiation is an efficient

Preparation of hard palm midfractions (PMF) and its use as a cocoa butter equivalent ingredient were studied. Hard PMF is
obtained by multistep fractionation of palm oil involving dry fractionation (DF) and/or solvent fractionation (SF), usually
using hexane or acetone. From our experience, in acetone, a polar solvent, symmetrical 1,3-disaturated triacylglycerols tend
to selectively crystallize more than nonsymmetrical 1,2- or 2,3-disaturated triacylglycerols, making it suitable for obtaining
the solid midfraction. Unfortunately, triacylglycerols are very soluble in hexane, and temperatures at least 15 degrees lower
than those required for acetone must be used for equivalent crystal yields. On the other hand, DF is a less expensive and
safer process. Thus, multistep fractionation combining DF and SF using acetone was developed to achieve sufficient removal
of high-melting components, and further enrichment of 1,3-dipalmitoyl-2-oleoylglycerol and the hard PMF was obtained by triple-step
fractionation of palm olein or double-step fractionation of soft PMF. Compared to conventional hard PMF, this hard PMF had
a steeper melting curve and better snapping and sharp-melting qualities when used in chocolate. Heat resistance of the hard
PMF chocolate was similar to the conventional hard PMF chocolate, and its bloom resistance could be improved by adding polyglycerol

Rheological properties in a molten state are studied extensively for poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate‐co‐3‐hydroxyvalerate), PHB‐HV, with a small amount of crosslinked poly(epichlorohydrin), PECH, having low density of crosslink points. It is found that adding 2 wt % of xPECH greatly enhances the melt elasticity of PHB‐HV, one of the serious defects of microbial PHB, whereas it has no effect on the shear viscosity. We prepared relatively uniform supported Ru catalysts by ion‐exchange and CVD methods, using an NaY zeolite and a mesoporous
FSM‐16 as substrates, and carried out CO2 hydrogenation. They showed high activity for CO2 hydrogenation. A Ru‐ion‐exchanged catalyst showed high activity for methanol production. Co addition promoted methanol formation.

A novel modularity of heat circulation for distillation process, which reduces the energy consumption, is proposed. By incorporating compressors and heat exchangers, the heat of the distillate is recuperated and exchanged with the heat of the feed streams. The proposed technology achieves the reduction in the required energy more than 75% as compared with a benchmark process which uses external heat source for heating. This shows the proposed modularity of heat circulation for distillation process is very promising technology to drastically reduce energy demand for distillation. 相似文献

In this study, we report the characterization of carbonaceous films deposited on metal substrates by liquid-phase electrodeposition in methanol. The characterization of carbonaceous films by electrodeposition was examined by means of Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), atom probe (AP) and high resolution-elastic recoil detection analysis (HR-ERDA). From these results, it was found that the films deposited on the metal substrates were composed of the sp2 and sp3 carbon contents, of which the ratio was about 7:3. Furthermore, the films by electrodeposition contained much hydrogen. The hydrogen contents in the surface were about 60 at.% and those in the subsurface were a few 10 at.%. 相似文献

We examined the effects of valproic acid (VPA) on hippocampal neurons. Prenatal VPA exposure significantly increased polysialic acid (PSA) expression in the early postnatal mouse hippocampus. Moreover, VPA treatment significantly enhanced PSA expression in primary cultured hippocampal neurons and stimulated neurite growth.
