Enzymes are extensively used as catalyst in several fields of production such as chemistry, and pharmaceuticals owing to their selectivity, efficiency and environmentally friendliness. However, their applications are often hindered due to their insufficient stability and difficulties in re-use. As a member of porous crystalline materials, metal organic frameworks are a promising enzyme carrier due to their multi-functional pore surfaces and robustness in variety of harsh conditions. In this study, the horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme was immobilized onto UiO-66-NH2 (Universitetet i Oslo) by a facile incubation method at the room temperature to improve the stability and reusability of enzyme. The prepared HRP@UiO-66-NH2 bio-composite was characterized by using FT-IR, XRD and SEM. The crystal structure of MOF was well-preserved after enzyme immobilization. A colorimetric assay for enzyme activity after released from UiO-66-NH2 has been employed based on the catalytic oxidation of phenol coupled with 4-aminoantipyrine. The robustness and activity of immobilized enzyme after released from UiO-66-NH2 were investigated by biodegradation of methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB) with several parameters such as pH, temperature, the dosage of H2O2 and the dye concentration with comparison to its free form. The optimum condition for dye degradation was obtained at basic conditions. The immobilized enzyme maintained its activity at elevated temperature while free enzyme lost its activity at the same conditions, attributed to the armoring effect of UiO-66-NH2. According to the results of studied various parameters, MO and MB were biodegraded to 60% and 45%, respectively, within 60 min with the optimum conditions at pH 9 and 50 °C at a H2O2 dosage of 3%. The superior pH tolerance and stability suggest potential of UiO-66-NH2 immobilized peroxidase enzyme in industrial applications.
Ultrasound is an emerging technology that can be applied to monitor food processes. However, ultrasonic techniques are usually limited to research activities within a laboratory environment and they are not extensively used in industrial processes. The aim of this paper is to describe a novel ultrasonic sensor designed to monitor physical–chemical changes that occur in wines stored in industrial tanks. Essentially, the sensor consists of an ultrasonic transducer in contact with a buffer rod, mounted inside a stainless steel tube section. This structure allows the ultrasonic sensor to be directly installed in stainless steel tanks of an industrial plant. The operating principle of this design is based on the measurement of ultrasonic velocity of propagation. To test its proper operation, the sensor has been used to measure changes of concentration in aqueous samples and to monitor the progress of a malolactic fermentation of red wines in various commercial wineries. Results show the feasibility of using this sensor for monitoring malolactic fermentations in red wines placed in industrial tanks. 相似文献
The anticonvulsant activity of furanocoumarins, coumarin mixture and the essential oil obtained from the fruits of Heracleum crenatifolium was examined against maximal electroshock (MES)-induced seizures in mice. Bergapten showed significant anticonvulsant activity. The furanocoumarins isolated from the fruits of the plant were identified using thin-layer chromatography, melting points and spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, 1H NMR) as isobergapten (1), pimpinellin (2), bergapten (3), isopimpinellin (4), sphondin (5) and byak-angelicol (6). The essential oil content of the fruits were found as 5.5%. Twenty-two compounds representing 99.3% of the essential oil obtained from the fruits of H. crenatifolium were determined and the major components were identified as octanol and octyl acetate (3.1% and 88.4% respectively) by GC and GC–MS. 相似文献
Intramuscular connective tissue obtained from Longissimus dorsi muscle of a 4-year-old beef carcass was treated with NaCl solutions of 2, 4, and 6% (w/v), and CaCl2 solutions of 50, 100, and 150 mM, and citric and lactic acid solutions of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% for three different marinating periods (24, 46, and 72 h). Changes in denaturation characteristics were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry and it was found that the denaturation onset temperature (To) and the denaturation peak temperature (Tp) increased as the NaCl concentration increased but decreased as the CaCl2 concentration increased, irrespective of marinating time. Lactic and citric acid decreased To to about 39°C, from over 60°C breaking the structure of fibrils. 相似文献

Heat treatment is a well-known method for modifying wood that is applied in different ways, and treatment schedules change from tree to tree. This treatment improves the physical properties of wood but, in general, it reduces the mechanical properties of wood. The effects of heat treatment on the mechanical properties of juvenile and mature wood of the same tree species have not been well-defined. Therefore, we focused our study on the differences in the mechanical properties of juvenile wood and mature wood of Eucalyptus grandis after both were subjected to heat treatment. Wood samples were treated at temperatures of 120, 150, and 180°C for 4, 6, and 8 h. The test results showed that decreases in the mechanical properties of juvenile wood (e.g., modulus of elasticity (MOE), modulus of rupture (MOR), compression strength (CS), and impact bending (IB)) were greater than the decreases that occurred in mature wood that was heat treated at the same conditions. 相似文献
This paper is concerned with the energy and exergy analyses of the thin layer drying process of mulberry via forced solar dryer. Using the first law of thermodynamics, energy analysis was carried out to estimate the ratios of energy utilization and the amounts of energy gain from the solar air collector. However, exergy analysis was accomplished to determine exergy losses during the drying process by applying the second law of thermodynamics. The drying experiments were conducted at different five drying mass flow rate varied between 0.014 kg/s and 0.036 kg/s. The effects of inlet air velocity and drying time on both energy and exergy were studied. The main values of energy utilization ratio were found to be as 55.2%, 32.19%, 29.2%, 21.5% and 20.5% for the five different drying mass flow rate ranged between 0.014 kg/s and 0.036 kg/s. The main values of exergy loss were found to be as 10.82 W, 6.41 W, 4.92 W, 4.06 W and 2.65 W with the drying mass flow rate varied between 0.014 kg/s and 0.036 kg/s. It was concluded that both energy utilization ratio and exergy loss decreased with increasing drying mass flow rate while the exergetic efficiency increased. 相似文献
Resin catalysts have the advantage of having various properties and long lifetime due to their ability to be regenerated easily, which makes them attractive supports. In this paper, a comparative study was conducted to optimize the dehydrogenation reaction condition using two different types of support materials: alumina (Al2O3), and Amberlyst-15 and to improve the catalytic activity as well as preparing an efficient and low-cost system for practical application, ruthenium metal catalyst was incorporated on Amberlyst-15 resin (a sulfonic acid type based upon a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer) to release H2 via hydrolytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane. Using ruthenium (Ru) catalysts based on Amberlyst-15 support material and comparing the results with Al2O3 as the common supporting material is considered to be studied for the first time. The effect of temperature (20–50 °C), the initial ammonia borane concentration (0.05–0.5 %wt), and catalyst amount (0.2–0.5 g) on the produced H2 yield was also investigated. Ru@Amberlyst-15 nanoparticle was discovered to be an effective catalyst for hydrogen evolution via the hydrolysis of ammonia borane with a turnover frequency value (TOF) of 343.3 min?1, while Ru@Al2O3 yielded a TOF of 87.5 min?1 at the room temperature. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Amberlyst-15 supporting effect on ruthenium metal leads an increase in the hydrogen production rate. 相似文献
Polyester particles in concrete are preferred because they provide thermal, chemical and water resistance. In this study, thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, mechanical strength and water resistance properties of concretes containing polyester granules such as flame-retardant polyester, cationic dyeable polyester and polyester with a low melting point-filled concrete have been analyzed using a full factorial design via Minitab® version 17. The effect of the most influential factors on thermal conductivity of polyester aggregate reinforced concrete composite has been determined as an interaction between the cationic dyeable and low-melt–point polyester. This mixture is suitable for production of thermal insulating concrete. Moreover, it is concluded that cationic dyeable polyester is the highest corrosion- and water-resistant product among the polyesters used in this study. The recovery rate of 33.94% in the thermal conductivity and 214.89% in the electrical resistivity of polyester-reinforced concrete composites has been obtained with a 28-day compressive strength loss of 41.94% according to the reference concrete in the full factorial design application. These results indicate that the polyester-reinforced concrete composites are quite effective in achieving thermal and corrosion resistance concrete but with noticeable compressive strength loss. 相似文献
