It is a critical issue to understand the relationship between water-droplet behavior and cell voltage for the establishment of PEFC water management. We fabricated three cells, whose channel pattern is different: straight one channel, parallel three channels and serpentine one channel. We operated these different channel-pattern cells and visualized water droplets in cathode channel, with systematically changing operation condition to quantitatively compare the performance and water droplet behavior between the cells. Successive process of water behavior, named as flooding, plugging and flushing, emerged in every channel-pattern cell. However, the each channel pattern cell also has inherent water behavior, showing particular cell voltage variation. Within our experimental condition, the serpentine one channel cell showed a superior tolerance to flooding and the highest performance among the three cells. 相似文献

Abstract We have studied sintering and densification of PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT) films derived from diol-based sol-gel solutions. We found that densification by sintering began at below 750°C and completed at 850°C in 5 min. Initially, 0.83- μm-thick PZT single-coated films were prepared on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates from stable propylene-glycol (l,2-propanediol)-based solutions by crystallization at 700°C. The crystallized films consisted of fine perovskite grains and voids. We studied the firing temperature dependence of various properties such as microstructure, crystallinity, and ferroelectric properties for the single-coated films. Finally, 0.54- μm-thick PZT single-coated dense films were prepared by firing at 850°C for 5 min. In order to prepare thicker PZT dense films, we studied low-temperature sintering of PZT multicoated thick films. Using this approach, 1.7- μm-thick PZT dense films were prepared by firing at 850°C for 5 min. 相似文献

A macrocyclic lactone (BSD) consisting of butylene succinate dimer was successfully isolated from oligomeric byproducts of poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) prepared by the polycondensation method. BSD was subjected to ring-opening polymerization (ROP) with tin octoate as the catalyst to obtain PBS. Its number-average molecular weight was found to reach about 9.5 × 104 Da, being much higher than that of the PBS sample obtained by direct melt polycondensation. When the ROP of BSD was performed in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as the macro-initiators, triblock (PBS-PEG-PBS) and diblock (PEG-PBS) copolymers were obtained. 相似文献

Simple stacking of thin van der Waals 2D materials with different physical properties enables one to create heterojunctions (HJs) with novel functionalities and new potential applications. Here, a 2D material p–n HJ of GeSe/MoS2 is fabricated and its vertical and horizontal carrier transport and photoresponse properties are studied. Substantial rectification with a very high contrast (>104) through the potential barrier in the vertical‐direction tunneling of HJs is observed. The negative differential transconductance with high peak‐to‐valley ratio (>105) due to the series resistance change of GeSe, MoS2, and HJs at different gate voltages is observed. Moreover, strong and broad‐band photoresponse via the photoconductive effect are also demonstrated. The explored multifunctional properties of the GeSe/MoS2 HJs are expected to be important for understanding the carrier transport and photoresponse of 2D‐material HJs for achieving their use in various new applications in the electronics and optoelectronics fields. 相似文献

Peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS) after corneal transplantation leads to refractory glaucoma and permanent loss of vision. However, the exact mechanism remains elusive. This study aimed to evaluate the association between cytokine levels in the aqueous humor (AqH) and the progression of PAS after penetrating keratoplasty (PKP). We measured 20 cytokine levels in AqH and assessed the correlation with PAS progression after PKP in 85 consecutive patients who underwent PKP. We also evaluated age-dependent alterations in PAS and cytokine levels in DBA2J mice. PAS developed in 38 (44.7%) of 85 eyes after PKP. The incidence of intraocular pressure increase after PKP was significantly greater in eyes with PAS (26.3%) than in those without PAS (2%, p = 0.0009). The PAS area at 12 months after PKP was significantly positively correlated with the preoperative levels of interleukin (IL)-6, interferon (IFN)-γ and monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP)-1 (p ≤ 0.049). In the DBA2J mice, an experimental glaucoma model that developed PAS at 50 weeks, the AqH levels of IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, IFN-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α, MCP-1 and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) significantly increased at 50 weeks compared to 8 weeks (p ≤ 0.021). In conclusion, inflammatory alterations in the AqH microenvironment, such as high preoperative specific cytokine levels, can lead to PAS formation and glaucoma. 相似文献

Thin films of a solid solution of ZnSe and CuIn0.7Ga0.3Se2 ((ZnSe) x (CIGS) 1–x ) are prepared by co‐evaporation. Structural characterization reveals that the ZnSe and CIGS form a solid solution with no phase separation. (ZnSe)0.85(CIGS)0.15‐based photocathodes modified with Pt, Mo, Ti, and CdS exhibit a photocurrent of 7.1 mA cm?2 at 0 VRHE, and a relatively high onset potential of 0.89 VRHE under simulated sunlight. A two‐electrode cell containing a (ZnSe)0.85(CIGS)0.15 photocathode and a BiVO4‐based photoanode has an initial solar‐to‐hydrogen conversion efficiency of 0.91%, which is one of the highest values reported for a photoanode–photocathode combination. Thus, (ZnSe)0.85(CIGS)0.15 is a promising photocathode material for efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting. 相似文献

A numerical approach based on adjoint formulation of convection heat transfer is proposed to predict the change of heat transfer characteristics for arbitrary thermal and flow boundary perturbations. In order to obtain the adjoint system of the convection heat transfer problem, we formally linearize the governing equations by the perturbation method and then derive the adjoint system for the perturbation system. As a result, it is shown that the numerical solutions of the base and the adjoint problems enable us to predict the changes of heat transfer characteristics, such as the change of total heat transfer rate or the change of temperature at a specific location, when the thermal and flow boundary conditions are perturbed. Architectonics of the paper-structured catalyst for the application to the biofuel reformer or direct internal reforming SOFC (DIRSOFC) was studied. Inorganic fiber network, “paper”, composed of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) fiber (Zf), alumina fiber (Af) and inorganic binder (Al2O3 sol (As) or ZrO2 sol (Zs) or CeO2 sol (Cs)) was prepared by a simple paper-making process. Then, the catalytic activities of the Ni and Ni–MgO loaded papers called “paper-structured catalysts (PSCs)” for the steam reforming of biodiesel fuels (BDFs) were evaluated. Ni–MgO loaded PSC using Cs as an inorganic binder, Ni–MgO/ZfAfCs, exhibited excellent performance over Ru/γAl2O3 catalyst beads. Formation of light hydrocarbons, especially C2H4, was eliminated and water–gas shift reaction was more promoted compared to the catalyst beads. 相似文献

The flooding, especially in gas diffusion layer (GDL), is one of the critical issues to put PEMFC to practical use. However, the experimental data of the flooding in GDL is so insufficient that the optimization design related to the water management for GDL has not established. In this study we developed a method to estimate the water saturation, namely the ratio of liquid water to pore volume in GDL. We fabricated a simple interdigitated cell where the supply gas is enforced to flow under rib. This structure enables to estimate the liquid water ratio in GDL by the measurement of differential pressure through the cell. We operated the cell and measured the differential pressure, and succeeded in estimating the water saturation, which changed largely with changing cell operation condition. In addition to this deferential pressure measurement, we measured the ionic resistance in polymer electrolyte membrane by ac impedance method. We evaluated and discussed the influence of the water saturation on cell voltage. 相似文献
