Abstract

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) prepared by a DC-Arc-Discharge and purified by a hydrothermal treatment followed by several steps of procedures including heating, burning, extracting and acid-washing are investigated by a conventional STM technique morphologically and spectroscopically. The electical resistivities of compacted pellets (mats) of SWCNT are measured as a function of temperature in the range from the room-temperature to 1.5K. The behaviors seems to be essentially originated in the metallic nature of individual SWCNT.  相似文献

Die quenching of AA2024 aluminum alloy billets was carried out on a servo press with ram-motion control of WC-20 mass%Co dies directly after solution heat treatment (SHT). To clarify the dependence on billet size for die quenching, two billets with a height of h0 = 8 mm or 16 mm and with the same diameter of 16 mm were prepared. The cylindrical billets were heated in an electric furnace at 823 K and transferred to the press. Then the billets were uniaxially compressed with a reduction in height (Δh/h0) of 2% or 5%, and further held between the dies. The sandwiching duration by dies (td.q.) was varied from 0 to 8 s. Based a measured temperature change, hardness and TG–DTA analysis, it is found that die quenching is successfully carried out without precipitation hardening only in the case of the billet with a height of 8 mm and td.q. > 6 s. The reduction in height is limited less than 5% by intergranular fracture on side surface of billet during the die quenching process.  相似文献

Abstract

In this work, we develop an articulated mobile robot that can move in narrow spaces, climb stairs, gather information, and operate valves for plant disaster prevention. The robot can adopt a tall position using a folding arm and gather information using sensors mounted on the arm. In addition, this paper presents a stair climbing method using a single backward wave. This method enables the robot to climb stairs that have a short tread. The developed robot system is tested in a field test at the World Robot Summit 2018, and the lessons learned in the field test are discussed.  相似文献

λ-Graph systems are labelled Bratteli diagrams with shift operations. They present subshifts. Their matrix presentations are called symbolic matrix systems. We define skew products of λ-graph systems and study extensions of subshifts by finite groups. Autonomous control of vehicles has recently attracted considerable attention. In this sense, vehicle merging has become an important topic in this field of research. However, in conventional studies, the controlled vehicle must calculate the movement of other surrounding vehicles to complete the merge, requiring high computational costs. In this paper, we focus on dragonfly behavior to solve this issue. Indeed, insects can behave adaptively in the complex real world in spite of the limited size of their brains. They reduce the computational requirements of their brain by relying on different properties of their surroundings, basing their intelligent behaviors on simple strategies. The behavior of a dragonfly when chasing a prey is an example of these strategies. In this study, we address the vehicle merging maneuver by applying dragonfly’s strategies to control the movement of the merging vehicle. We propose a simple control method inspired by the aforementioned strategies and, finally, we present simulation results that were conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.  相似文献

Boroxines, (R‐BO)3, which can be easily synthesized via a dehydration reaction of boronic acids, R–B(OH)2, selectively self‐assemble in toluene into nanofibers, nanorods, nanotapes, and nanotubes, depending on the aromatic substituent (R). Spectroscopic measurements show that the nanotube consists of a J‐aggregate of the boroxine. Humidification converts the morphology from the nanotube to a sheet as a result of the hydrolysis of the boroxine components and subsequent molecular‐packing rearrangement from the J‐aggregate to an H‐aggregate. Such a transformation leads to the compulsive release of guest molecules encapsulated in the hollow cylinder of the nanotube. The hydrolysis and the molecular‐packing rearrangement described above are suppressed by coordination of pyridine to the boron atom, with the resulting moiety acting as a Lewis acid of the boroxine component. The pyridine‐coordinated nanotube is transformed into a helical coil by humidification. Guest release during the nanotube‐to‐helical‐coil transformation is much slower than during the nanotube‐to‐sheet transformation, but faster than from a nanotube that did not undergo morphological transformation. The storage and release of guest molecules from the boroxine nanotubes can be precisely controlled by adjusting the moisture level and the concentration of Lewis bases, such as amines.  相似文献
