A novel vitamin E derivative, (6″-hydroxy-2″,5″,7″,8″-tetramethylchroman-2″-yl) methyl 3-(2′,4′-dihydroxyphenyl)propionate (TM4R), which has a chromanoxyl ring and 4-substituted resorcinol moieties, was synthesized; and its inhibitory effects on tyrosinase, antioxidant ability, and lightening effect of ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced hyperpigmentation were estimated. TM4R showed potent inhibitory activity on tyrosinase, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in melanogenesis. The scavenging activities of TM4R on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl and hydroxyl radicals were found to be nearly the same as those of α-tocopherol. Furthermore, an efficient lightening effect was observed following topical application of TM4R to UVB-stimulated hyperpigmented dorsal skin of brownish guinea pigs. These results suggest that TM4R may be a candidate for an efficient whitening agent, possibly by inhibiting tyrosinase activity and biological reactions caused by reactive oxygen species.  相似文献

Although lanthanum germanate oxyapatite (La–Ge–O) has shown good potential for use as a solid electrolyte in energy storage applications, its synthesis has been challenging by either solid‐ or solution‐state methods. In this study, a new synthesis of La–Ge–O was developed through a coprecipitation technique, in which a highly concentrated homogeneous aqueous solution of La and Ge was prepared from aqueous ammonium germanate and lanthanum nitrate solutions with the addition of dilute nitric acid. Several precipitates were formed by pH manipulation, including an amorphous material obtained at pH > 3. Compared to the individual precipitation behaviors of the parent compounds, the amorphous precipitate was formed only from the aqueous two‐component mixture, and appeared to contain both metals. This material was transformed into crystalline mixtures upon heating at 1273 K. The crystalline phases were La2Ge3O9 and hexagonal‐type GeO2 when the precipitate was formed below pH 8, and the La–Ge–O and La2Ge2O7 phases when the precipitate was formed around pH 8. Product formation from the coprecipitate was discussed based on X‐ray diffraction and thermal analyses. The improved availability of La–Ge–O will allow more extensive investigations of its useful properties.  相似文献

In this study, we investigated the Al–Sn flux system and its growth conditions to obtain AlN single crystals. AlN single crystals of a size of 50 μm were successfully grown using an Al–Sn melt under nitrogen gas pressure. The growable region of the AlN crystals was established using a pressure‐temperature diagram. The required nitrogen gas pressure for the growth of the AlN crystals was found to decrease with increasing temperature, and AlN was grown at 0.1 MPa nitrogen pressure above 1300°C. By investigating the AlN yield with various Al concentrations, we confirmed that the Al component in the Al–Sn melt facilitated nitrogen dissolution. Finally, scanning electron microscopy analysis showed that the obtained AlN particles showed good morphology.  相似文献

Highly enantioselective addition of diketene to aldehydes was achieved by using novel Schiff base—titanium alkoxide complexes. Up to 92% ee of 5-hydroxy-3-oxoesters was obtained. Nanocomposites of natural rubber (NR)/polypropylene (PP) (80/20 wt %) blends filled with 5 phr pristine clay were prepared by melt‐mixing process. Effects of clay incorporation technique via conventional melt‐mixing (CV) and masterbatch mixing (MB) methods on nanostructure and properties of the blend nanocomposites were investigated. The XRD, SAXS, WAXD, and TEM results showed that the clays in the NR/PP blend nanocomposites were presented in different states of dispersion and were locally existed at the interface between NR and PP as well as dispersed in the NR matrix. The presence of clay caused unique morphological evolution such as fine fibrillar PP domains. The tensile strength was improved over the unfilled NR/PP blends by 53% and 224%, and the storage modulus at 25 °C was increased by 78% and 120% for the NR/PP/clay nanocomposites prepared by CV and MB methods, respectively. Significant improvement in both properties was particularly obtained from the MB method due to finer dispersion fibrillar PP phase in the NR matrix and stronger interfacial adhesion between NR and PP fibers, as suggested from DMA. The oil resistance of blend nanocomposites was also improved over that of the unfilled NR/PP blend, and this property was further progressed by the masterbatch mixing method. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The hydrogen absorption properties of Ti–0.2 mass% Pd (Ti–0.2Pd) alloy in 2.0% and 0.2% acidulated phosphate fluoride (APF) and neutral 2.0% NaF solutions (25 °C) has been evaluated by hydrogen thermal desorption analysis. During the early stage of immersion (120 h) in the 2.0% APF solution, the amount of absorbed hydrogen was lower than 500 mass ppm. A thermal desorption of hydrogen primary appearing with a peak at 500–600 °C and a broad desorption ranging from 100 to 400 °C were observed. In the 0.2% APF solution, the amount of absorbed hydrogen saturated at 100–200 mass ppm; the thermal desorption of hydrogen appeared with a single peak at 550 °C. In the 2.0% NaF solution, hydrogen absorption was negligible even after 1000 h of immersion, although corrosion pits were observed. The results of the present study suggest that the hydrogen absorption of Ti–0.2Pd alloy, as compared with commercial pure titanium, is suppressed in fluoride solutions.  相似文献

The hydrogen absorption behaviour during acid etching for the surface modification of commercial pure Ti, Ti-6Al-4V and Ni-Ti superelastic alloys has been investigated on the basis of the surface morphology, electrochemical behaviour and hydrogen thermal desorption analysis. To simulate the conventional acid etching for the improvement of the biocompatibility of Ti alloys, the specimens are immersed in 1 M HCl, 1 M H2SO4 or 0.5 M HCl + 0.5 M H2SO4 aqueous solution at 60 °C. Upon immersion, commercial pure Ti absorbs substantial amounts of hydrogen irrespective of the type of solution. In H2SO4 or HCl + H2SO4 solutions, the hydrogen absorption occurs for a short time (10 min). For Ti-6Al-4V alloy, no hydrogen absorption is observed in HCl solution, whereas hydrogen absorption occurs in other solutions. For Ni-Ti superelastic alloy, the amount of absorbed hydrogen is large, resulting in the pronounced degradation of the mechanical properties of the alloy even for an immersion time of 10 min, irrespective of the type of solution. The hydrogen absorption behaviour is not necessarily consistent with the morphologies of the surface subjected to corrosion and the shift of the corrosion potential. The hydrogen thermal desorption behaviour of commercial pure Ti and Ni-Ti superelastic alloy are sensitively changed by acid etching conditions. The present results suggest that the evaluation of hydrogen absorption is needed for each condition of acid etching, and that the conventional acid etching often leads to hydrogen embrittlement.  相似文献

Suitable catalysts for the decomposition of methane into carbon and hydrogen and for the regeneration of methane by hydrogenation of the carbon have been looked for in a series of transition metals and precious metals supported on various carriers. The most active catalyst for both reactions was Ni/SiO2. The carbon formed on this catalyst was thermodynamically less stable than graphite. The different rate equations for the decomposition of methane obtained for the fresh and carbon deposited Ni/SiO2 suggest that the rate-determining steps are different for the two catalysts. The highest number of carbon atoms deposited per one Ni atom was 31 at 773 K. However, the number of methane molecules recovered easily at 773 K was limited to 1.5 per Ni atom.

A physical mixture of Ni/SiO2 and CaNi5, a hydrogen-absorbing alloy, enhanced the decomposition rate of methane, enabling the complete conversion of methane at 773 K beyond the thermodynamic limitation. The presence of CaNi5 at 273 K separated from the catalyst in a reaction system further enhanced the decomposition of methane due to an increased hydrogen-absorbing capacity of the CaNi5 at low temperatures. The carbon deposited on Ni/SiO2 in this case was reactive to be hydrogenated back to methane at 773 K, giving an average 7.5 CH4 molecules per one Ni atom.  相似文献

Si3N4ceramics were fabricated by tape casting of a raw-powder slurry seeded with three types of rodlike β-Si3N4particles. The effects of seed size on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the sintered specimens were investigated. All the seeded and tape-cast silicon nitrides presented an anisotropic microstructure, where the elongated grains grown from seeds were preferentially oriented parallel to the casting direction. The orientation degree of these grains, f 0, was affected by seed size, and small-seed addition led to the highest f 0value. This material exhibited high bending strength (∼1.4 GPa) and high fracture toughness (∼12 MPa.m1/2) in the direction normal to the grain alignment, which were attributed to the highly anisotropic and fine microstructure.  相似文献
