ABSTRACT

The high-pressure sliding (HPS) process was applied for grain refinement of a pipe form of an Al-3wt%Mg-0.2wt%Sc alloy by developing two types of straining techniques (called in this study anvil sliding and mandrel sliding). To achieve a homogeneous microstructure throughout the cross-section of the pipe, the sample is rotated around the longitudinal axis every after sliding operation by introducing multi-pass technique, named multi-pass HPS (MP-HPS) as developed earlier for rods. The MP-HPS-processed sample shows ultrafine-grained structures with an average grain size of ~260 and ~300?nm after the HPS processing using anvil sliding and mandrel sliding. The samples also exhibit superplasticity with total elongations well more than 400%, respectively. A finite-element method is used to simulate the evolution of strain in the HPS processing and demonstrates that the simulation well represents the experimental results.  相似文献

An anomalously large dielectric permittivity of ≈104 is found in the mesophase temperature range (MP phase) wherein high fluidity is observed for a liquid‐crystal compound having a 1,3‐dioxane unit in the mesogenic core (DIO). In this temperature range, no sharp X‐ray diffraction peak is observed at both small and wide Bragg angles, similar to that for a nematic phase; however, an inhomogeneous sandy texture or broken Schlieren one is observed via polarizing optical microscopy, unlike that for a conventional nematic phase. DIO exhibits polarization switching with a large polarization value, i.e., P = 4.4 µC cm?2, and a parallelogram‐shaped polarization–electric field hysteresis loop in the MP phase. The inhomogeneously aligned DIO in the absence of an electric field adopts a uniform orientation along an applied electric field when field‐induced polarization switching occurs. Furthermore, sufficiently larger second‐harmonic generation is observed for DIO in the MP phase. Second‐harmonic‐generation interferometry clearly shows that the sense of polarization is inverted when the +/? sign of the applied electric field in MP is reversed. These results suggest that a unidirectional, ferroelectric‐like parallel polar arrangement of the molecules is generated along the director in the MP phase.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a robust bin-picking system utilizing tactile sensors and a vision sensor. The object position and orientation are estimated using a fast template-matching method through the vision sensor. When a robot picks up an object, the tactile sensors detect the success or failure of the grasping, and a force sensor detects the contact with the environment. A weight sensor is also used to judge whether the lifting of the object has been successful. The robust and efficient bin-picking system presented herein is implemented through the integration of different sensors. In particular, the tactile sensors realize rope-shaped object picking that has yet to be made possible with conventional picking systems. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed through grasping experiments and in a competitive event at the World Robot Challenge 2018.  相似文献

Metal-atom migration outside from a defective fullerene cage of a metallofullerene Gd@C(82) (Ca@C(82)), where the Gd(3+) (Ca(2+)) ion is incorporated inside the C(2)(v)()-C(82) cage, is discussed in detail at the B3LYP DFT level of theory. The metal-atom migrations are initiated by the formation of vacancy-type defects involving two coordinatively unsaturated C atoms. This step, which is assumed to proceed due to energy-particle irradiation, leads to the formation of antibonding orbitals between the two C atoms. Since the antibonding orbitals can interact with vacant d-orbitals of the Gd(3)(+)() ion in an in-phase fashion, the attractive interactions allow the Gd ion to insert into the two C atoms in the defect. As a result, the metal ion passes through the defect under energy-particle irradiation. In contrast, the Ca(2+) ion with the vacant s-orbitals does not have such orbital interactions, and thus, a C-C bond is reformed between the two C atoms, which prohibits the Ca ion from penetrating the defected C(82) cage. DFT calculations nicely demonstrate that the orbital interactions control metal-atom migration around the defect site using their orbital symmetries, and therefore, the vacancy-type defect acts as a "gate" that permits a specific atom to go out from a defected fullerene cage.  相似文献

Differential theory is said to be difficult to apply to surface-relief gratings made of metals with very high conductivity even though the formulation follows Li's Fourier factorization rules. Recently, Popov et al. [J. Opt. Soc. Am. 21, 199 (2004)] pointed out this difficulty and explained that its origin is related to the inversion of Toeplitz matrices constructed by the permittivity distribution inside the groove region. The current paper provides information about the differential theory for highly conducting gratings and considers the numerical instability problems. A stable calculation for lossless gratings is described, based on the extrapolation technique with the assumption of small losses.  相似文献

采用磁控共溅射方法在n型Si(100)基片上制备了一系列具有不同Co含量(x,at%)的Co掺杂非晶C颗粒薄膜,溅射温度为室温.研究了Co-C颗粒薄膜的微结构,磁输运特性及磁性能.通过优化Co含量,在低温下发现了较大的负磁电阻(MR).温度为2K、磁场为90×79.6 kA.ml时,Co含量为6.4 at%的Co-C薄膜的负磁电阻值最大,达到27.6%.随着Co含量从6.4 at%增加至16.4 at%,MR 值从27.6%逐渐减小至2.2%.电阻率ρ随温度T的变化曲线显示了线性的lnρ-T1/2关系,说明样品中电子传导遵循隧穿输运机制.  相似文献

Although a high-energy gamma camera can obtain images of 137Cs distribution by detecting the 662-keV gamma photons, its spatial resolution is reduced because high-energy gamma photons penetrate the edge of the pinhole collimator. To solve this problem, we developed a low-energy X-ray camera that detects the characteristic X-ray photons (32–37 keV) that are emitted from 137Cs to obtain high resolution images. We used a 45 × 45 × 1-mm-thick NaI(Tl) scintillator that was encapsulated in 0.1-mm-thick aluminum and optically coupled to a 2-inch square, position sensitive photomultiplier tube (Hamamatsu Photonics, PSPMT:H12700 MOD) as an imaging detector. The imaging detector was encased in a 2-cm-thick tungsten alloy container and a pinhole collimator was attached to its camera head. The spatial resolution and sensitivity were ~5 mm full-width at half-maximum and ~0.6 cps/MBq for the 1.5-mm pinhole collimator 10 cm from the collimator surface, respectively. We administered 5 MBq of 137Cs to a soybean seedling, imaged the distribution of radionuclides for six hours, and successfully obtained a high resolution image of it with our developed X-ray camera. We believe our camera will be a powerful tool for such 137Cs imaging in plants.  相似文献

A chitinase gene (Chi3K) was cloned from the genomic DNA of Vitis vinifera cv. Koshu. The structural gene comprised 891 by without introns and encoded 297 amino acids. The Chi3K product showed high similarity to the class III chitinase of V. vinifera cv. Pinot noir. Chi3K was expressed using a bacterial expression vector for purification and enzymatic characterization of its gene product. The recombinant chitinase exhibited hydrolytic activity toward glycol chitin and its optimum pH was 4.0. It also inhibited the growth of Botrytis cinerea, which causes grey mold disease in grapes.  相似文献

We conducted a spatial evaluation of forest biomass usage using a geographic information system (GIS) for the Japanese town of Yusuhara. In Japan, over 60% of the land is covered with forest, of which at least 40% is artificial forest. However, because of high labor costs, the profitability of forestry is decreasing, so timber cultivation is not done to the extent that it could be, and thinning has to be subsidized. Under these circumstances, much of the forest is deteriorating. Most of the thinning is accounted for by throwaway thinning, in which the resulting wood is not used. However, with the steep rise in oil prices and the intensification of global warming concerns, expectations are rising for the use of biomass energy from thinned timber that has previously been discarded. If thinned timber, logging residues, and offcuts are utilized for biomass energy and their economic value becomes apparent, profitability will improve for both final cutting and thinning. And in addition to forestry activities being invigorated, it will be possible for some of the deteriorating forests (which have associated dangers such as landslides) to recover. However, using thinned timber and logging residues is problematic in that profitability is affected by harvesting costs. Harvesting costs are largely determined by geographic factors and are higher for more distant stands. Accordingly, in this article, operational costs for different stands are calculated using GIS and matched with total demand in the subject region. In addition, stands with lower operational costs are identified and an investigation of a highly feasible use of forest biomass is carried out.  相似文献

We fabricated a Bi-2212/Ag double stacked pancake coil of 13 mmØ) in inner bore and of 46.5 mmØ in outer diameter, by using Bi-2212/Ag tapes prepared by the combination of continuous dip-coating process and melt-solidification technique. This small superconducting magnet was used as an insert magnet of a conventional superconducting magnet system and tested at saturated superfluid helium temperature (~ 1.8K) in various bias fields. The generated field of Bi2212/Ag coil was 0.9 T, with Ic of 310 A(criterion 10-13Ω·m), in the bias field of 20.9 T. Thus, this superconducting magnet system achieved generation of magnetic field of 21.8 T in the full superconducting state.  相似文献
