ZnO films were electrodeposited from a dimethylsulfoxide bath containing dissolved gaseous oxygen. Variations in deposition parameters and their effects on the structural (crystal size, growth direction), optical (bandgap variations, photoluminescence) and electrical (conductivity) properties are described. A digital AC voltage standard with well-known AC-to-DC output voltage difference is described. The proposed feedback configuration can effectively measure and correct for loading effects, caused by a measuring device. Because the AC standard can generate AC and DC voltages at the same output terminals, the automatic measuring setup for thermal voltage converters (TVC) is considerably simplified. Nitrided gate oxides offer several electrical and reliability advantages over conventional oxides and also provide a good barrier against impurity diffusion. Oxidation in nitrous oxide (N2O) has been very successful in overcoming some of the problems associated with nitridation in ammonia.
