Gunn effect in MESFET-like structures

The performance of planar field-effect controlled transferred electron oscillators with different combinations of layer thickness and doping concentration has been investigated. A negative differential resistance has even been obtained with 0.29 mu m thick 1.6*10/sup 17/ cm/sup -3/ n-doped samples. This is the first time a MESFET-like active layer has exhibited the Gunn effect and has successfully been operated as a TEO at 36 GHz.<>     

Measurement of sulfur content in pulps of the Novoyavorovo ore refinery by a neutron radiation method

We describe an apparatus and method for measurement of the sulfur concentration in the pulp stream under refinery conditions using neutron radiation analysis. Neural Network Feedback Control: Work at UTA’s Automation and Robotics Research Institute

This is an outline of research in neural networks for feedback control done since the mid 1990s at the Automation and Robotics Research Institute (ARRI) of The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). It shows how the developments of Intelligent Control Systems based on neural networks have followed three main generations. This statement provides a short, broad-brush perspective on the development of intelligent neural feedback controllers.
