It is well recognized that the voltage stability of a power system is affected by the load model and hence, to effectively analyze the reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid wind-diesel based power system, the loads need to be considered along with the generators in a transient analysis. This paper gives a detailed mathematical modeling to compute the reactive power response with small voltage perturbation for composite load. The composite load is a combination of the static and dynamic load model. To develop this composite load model, the exponential load is used as a static load model and induction motors (IMs) are used as a dynamic load model. To analyze the dynamics of IM load, the fifth, third and first order model of IM are formulated and compared using differential equations solver in Matlab coding. Since the decentralized areas have many small consumers which may consist large numbers of IMs of small rating, it is not realistic to model either a single large rating unit or all small rating IMs together that are placed in the system. In place of using a single large rating IM, a group of motors are considered and then the aggregate model of IM is developed using the law of energy conservation. This aggregate model is used as a dynamic load model. For different simulation studies, especially in the area of voltage stability with reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid power system, the transfer function ΔQ/ΔV of the composite load is required. The transfer function of the composite load is derived in this paper by successive derivation for the exponential model of static load and for the fifth and third order IM dynamic load model using state space model.  相似文献

Ni (2.5 wt%) and Co (2.5 wt%) supported over ZrO2/Al2O3 were prepared by following a hydrolytic co-precipitation method. The synthesized catalysts were further promoted by Rh incorporation (0.01–1.00 wt%) and tested for their catalytic performance for dry CO2 reforming, combined steam–CO2 reforming and oxy–CO2 reforming of methane for production of syngas. The catalysts were characterized by using N2 physical adsorption, XRD, H2–TPR, SEM, CO2–TPD, NH3–TPD, TEM and TGA. The results revealed that ZrO2 phase was in crystalline form in the catalysts along with amorphous Al oxides. Ni and Co were confirmed to be in their respective spinel phases that were reducible to metallic form at 800 °C under H2. Ni and Co were well dispersed with their nano-crystalline nature. The catalyst with 0.2% loading of Rh showed superior performance in the studied reactions for reforming of methane. This catalyst also showed good coke resistance ability for dry CO2 reforming reaction with 3.8 wt% of carbon formation during the reaction as compared to 11.6 wt% carbon formation over the catalyst without Rh. The catalyst performance was stable throughout the reaction time for CH4 conversions, irrespective of carbon formation with slight decline (~1%) in CO2 conversion. For dry CO2 reforming reaction, this catalyst showed good conversion for both CH4 and CO2 (67.6% and 71.8% respectively) with a H2/CO ratio of 0.84, while for the Oxy-CO2 reforming reaction, the activity was superior with CH4 and CO2 conversions (73.7% and 83.8% respectively) and H2/CO ratio of 1.05.  相似文献

A new photocatalytic material developed by supporting TiO2 in combination with transition metal ion like cobalt and heteropolyacid (HPA) on the surface is facilitating enhanced photoreduction of water and methyl orange. Zeolites being a solid acid play an important role in the electron transfer reaction, facilitated by the Lewis acid sites in the form of aluminium ions. In the present work, four different zeolite matrices namely, NaY zeolite, ultrastable zeolite Y, beta zeolite and titanium silicate-1 have been used for the synthesis of new photocatalytic materials. These materials have been evaluated for water splitting by an initial screening procedure using methyl orange photoreduction. The photocatalyst containing Na Y has emerged as a potential photocatalyst with hydrogen evolution rate of 2730 μmol/h/g of TiO2. Hydrogen evolution was not observed for the composite photocatalysts synthesized using the other zeolite matrices. It has been observed that physico-chemical properties like Si/Al ratio, acidity and basicity of the zeolite support have a tremendous influence on the photoreduction property of these zeolite matrices.  相似文献

The seasonal lack of availability of lush green forages can force dairy farmers in developing nations to rely on crop residues such as wheat and rice straw as the major feed source. We tested whether ammonia fiber expansion (AFEX) treatment of wheat straw would increase the energy available to Murrah buffalo and Karan-Fries cattle consuming 70% of their diet as wheat straw in India. Forty lactating animals of each species were blocked by parity and days in milk and randomly assigned to 1 of 4 treatment diets (n = 10). Treatments were a nutrient-rich diet with 0 to 20% straw (positive control; PC) and 3 high-straw diets with various levels of AFEX-treatment: (1) 70% untreated straw (no AFEX), (2) 40 to 45% untreated straw with 25 to 30% AFEX-treated straw (low AFEX), and (3) 20% untreated straw with 50% AFEX-treated straw (high AFEX). The AFEX-treated straw was pelleted. Urea was added to the no and low AFEX diets so they were isonitrogenous with the high AFEX diet. Animals were individually fed the PC diet for 14 d followed by 7 d of adaptation to treatments, full treatments for 28 to 35 d, and finally PC diets for 21 d. Compared with buffalo fed the PC diet, those fed high-straw diets consumed 29% less feed dry matter, put out 16% less milk energy, and lost 0.8 kg/d more body weight; the AFEX treatment of straw did not alter intake or milk production but greatly ameliorated the body weight loss (?1.0 kg/d for no AFEX and ?0.07 kg/d for high AFEX). In Karan-Fries cattle, high-straw diets decreased dry matter intake by 39% and milk energy by 24%, and the high AFEX diet increased intake by 42% and milk energy by 18%. The AFEX treatment increased digestibilities of organic matter, dry matter, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, and crude protein by 6 to 13 percentage points in buffalo and 5 to 10 points in cattle. In conclusion, AFEX treatment increased the digestibility and energy availability of wheat straw for lactating buffalo and cattle and has commercial potential to improve milk production and feed efficiency when high-quality forages or grains are not available.  相似文献

Silicon carbide (SiC) was reinforced in the pulse electrodeposited nickel-tungsten (Ni-W) coatings deposited on the steel substrate, and isothermal oxidation test was performed at 1273 K (1000 °C) for 24 hours. Addition of just 2 vol pct of SiC showed 26 pct increase in the relative oxidation resistance of Ni-W coating. The increased oxidation resistance was attributed to the phase evolution (SiO2, Cr2O3, CrSi2, Ni2SiO4, Cr7C3, Cr3C2, and Cr3Si), which suppressed the spallation of the oxide scale in Ni-W-2 vol pct SiC. The presence of Fe2O3 phase in the oxidized Ni-W coating was mainly responsible for the major multiple spallations at the interface and in the bulk, which resulted in the degradation of oxidation resistance.

This paper develops a model‐based control system for fault detection and controller reconfiguration using stochastic model predictive control (MPC). The system can determine online the optimal control actions, detect faults quickly, and reconfigure the controller accordingly. Such a system can perform its function correctly in the presence of internal faults. A fault detection model based (FDMB) controller consists of two main parts: the first is fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) and the second is controller reconfiguration (CR). Systems subject to such abrupt failures are modeled as stochastic hybrid systems with variable‐structure. This paper deals with three challenging issues: design of the fault‐model set; estimation of hybrid multiple models; and stochastic MPC of hybrid multiple models. For the first issue, we propose a simple scheme for designing a fault model set based on random variables. For the second issue, we consider and select a fast and reliable FDD system applied to the above model set. Finally, we develop a stochastic MPC scheme for multiple model CR with soft switching signals based on the weighted probabilities of the outputs of different models. This paper presents the application of lifetime spectroscopy to the study of carrier-induced degradation ascribed to the boron-oxygen (BO) defect. Specifically, a large data set of p-type silicon samples is used to investigate two important aspects of carrier lifetime analysis: ①the methods used to extract the recombination lifetime associated with the defect and ② the underlying assumption that carrier injection does not affect lifetime components unrelated to the defect. The results demonstrate that the capture cross section ratio associated with the donor level of the BO defect (k1) vary widely depending on the specific method used to extract the defect-specific recombination lifetime. For the data set studied here, it was also found that illumination used to form the defect caused minor, but statistically significant changes in the surface passivation used. This violation of the fundamental assumption could be accounted for by applying appropriate curve fitting methods, resulting in an improved estimate of k1 (11.90±0.45) for the fully formed BO defect when modeled using the donor level alone. Illumination also appeared to cause a minor, apparently injectionindependent change in lifetime that could not be attributed to the donor level of the BO defect alone and is likely related to the acceptor level of the BO defect. While specific to the BO defect, this study has implications for the use of lifetime spectroscopy to study other carrier induced defects. Finally, we demonstrate the use of a unit-less regression goodness-of-fit metric for lifetime data that is easy to interpret and accounts for repeatability error.  相似文献

Pure phase of CeFeO3 perovskite was synthesized by using a modified microwave-assisted method and was systematically studied by photo-electrochemical (PEC) investigations for water splitting reaction. Characterization studies confirm the formation of crystalline orthorhombic single phase perovskite structure with space group Pbnm and having agglomerated sponge-like morphology with nano size grains. DRS shows broad absorption in UV–Visible region, while tauc plot also inferred estimated band gap of 1.9 eV. The photo-activity of their screen printed thin film was analyzed by PEC studies, which includes photocurrent, EIS spectra, MS-plot, J-V plots. On illumination, EIS analysis of CeFeO3 reveals improved charge transfer at interfaces of semiconductor/electrolyte. The photocurrent density difference of CeFeO3 was increased to 6.9 mA cm?2 at an applied bias of 1.5 V vs (Ag/AgCl). PEC H2 evolution shows significant cumulative hydrogen rate of 12.3 μmol cm?2 h?1. All these results reveal that the microwave-synthesized CeFeO3 is a potential candidate for PEC application under the visible light illumination.  相似文献
