A type IV composite pressure vessel subjected to fire may burst because of the degradation of the outer layers, but when the inner pressure is less than a critical value, leak is observed instead of burst. This phenomenon is due to the heat transfer through the composite shell which leads to liner melting. In order to characterize this failure mechanisms, engulfing fire tests have been performed in the framework of the FireComp project whose objective is to understand and simulate the fire performance of hydrogen storage. An experimental set-up has been implemented to expose the cylinders to fire by the means of gas injectors. A simple FE model has been developed to simulate the coupled effects of mechanical damage and of temperature. This approach is found to accurately predict the time to burst of the composite tank, as well as the transition between burst and leak.  相似文献

Polymers which enrich semiconducting single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) and are also removable after enrichment are highly desirable for achieving high‐performance field‐effect transistors (FETs). We have designed and synthesized a new class of alternating copolymers containing main‐chain fluorene and hydrofluoric acid (HF) degradable disilane for sorting and preferentially suspending semiconducting nanotube species. The results of optical absorbance, photoluminescence emission, and resonant Raman scattering show that poly[(9,9‐dioctylfluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐alt‐co‐1,1,2,2‐tetramethyl‐disilane] preferentially suspends semiconducting nanotubes with larger chiral angle (25°–28°) and larger diameter (1.03 nm–1.17 nm) (specifically (8,7), (9,7) and (9,8) species) present in HiPCO nanotube samples. Computer simulation shows that P1 preferentially interacts with (8,7) (semiconducting) over (7,7) (metallic) species, confirming that P1 selects larger diameter, larger chiral angle semiconducting tubes. P1 wrapped on the surface of SWNTs is easily washed off through degradation of the disilane bond of the alternating polymer main chain in HF, yielding “clean” purified SWNTs. We have applied the semiconducting species enriched SWNTs to prepare solution‐processed FET devices with random nanotube network active channels. The devices exhibit stable p‐type semiconductor behavior in air with very promising characteristics. The on/off current ratio reaches up to 15 000, with on‐current level of around 10 μA and estimated hole mobility of 5.2 cm2 V?1 s?1.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the effect of duplexing schemes on the throughput and the average packet dropping probability of a new multichannel wireless access protocol which allows for non-collision packet reservation multiple access with multiple channel (NC-PRMA/MC). N C equal-capacity, orthogonal, traffic channels are shared by M mobile users on the uplink. Transmission attempts on the uplink are made by using time-frequency signaling in every frame, which enables transmission attempts of mobile users to be conveyed to the base station without collisions. Two kinds of duplexing schemes, frequency division duplexing and shared time division duplexing, are considered in the performance analysis. Using a discrete-time Markov chain analysis, we derive the analytic expressions for the average per channel throughput and the average packet dropping probability. Computer simulation results verify the analysis. Analytical evaluation and computer simulation show that NC-PRMA/MC with shared time division duplexing improves the channel capacity, which approaches the theoretical upper bound. From 1983 to 1991, he was a Research Assistant with the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research, Taoyun, Taiwan. Since February 1991, he has been with the Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chia-Yi, Taiwan, first as an Associate Professor and, since 2000, as a Professor. He was also the Managing Director of the Center for Telecommunication Research, National Chung Cheng University, from Aug. 2000 to July 2004. Currently, he is also the Dean of General Affairs, National Chi Nan University. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Chinese Grey System Association. His current research interests include computer communication networks, cellular mobile communications, personal communications, spread-spectrum techniques, wireless broadband systems, and gray theory. Multifunctional microelectronic components featuring large stretchability, high sensitivity, high signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR), and broad sensing range have attracted a huge surge of interest with the fast developing epidermal electronic systems. Here, the epidermal sensors based on all‐carbon collaborative percolation network are demonstrated, which consist 3D graphene foam and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) obtained by two‐step chemical vapor deposition processes. The nanoscaled CNT networks largely enhance the stretchability and SNR of the 3D microarchitectural graphene foams, endowing the strain sensor with a gauge factor as high as 35, a wide reliable sensing range up to 85%, and excellent cyclic stability (>5000 cycles). The flexible and reversible strain sensor can be easily mounted on human skin as a wearable electronic device for real‐time and high accuracy detecting of electrophysiological stimuli and even for acoustic vibration recognition. The rationally designed all‐carbon nanoarchitectures are scalable, low cost, and promising in practical applications requiring extraordinary stretchability and ultrahigh SNRs.  相似文献
