Dense symmetric membranes of CaTi0.85?xFe0.15MnxO3?δ (x = 0.1, 0.15, 0.25, 0.4) are investigated in order to determine the optimal Mn dopant content with respect to highest O2 flux. O2 permeation measurements are performed as function of temperature between 700°C–1000°C and as function of the feed side ranging between 0.01 and 1 bar. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy is utilized to elucidate the charge state of Mn, and synchrotron radiation X‐ray powder diffraction (SR‐XPD) is employed to investigate the structure symmetry and cell volume of the perovskite phase at temperatures up to 800°C. The highest O2 permeability is found for x = 0.25 over the whole temperature and ranges, followed by x = 0.4 above 850°C. The O2 permeability for x = 0.25 reaches 0.01 mL(STP) min?1 cm?1 at 925°C with 0.21 bar feed side and Ar sweep gas. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates that the charge state of Mn changes from approx. +3 to +4 when x > 0.1, which implies that Mn mainly improves electronic conductivity for x > 0.1. The cell volume is found to decrease linearly with Mn content, which coincides with an increase in the activation energy of O2 permeability. These results are consistent with the interpretation of the temperature and dependency of O2 permeation. The sintering behavior and thermal expansion properties are investigated by dilatometry, which show improved sinterability with increasing Mn content and that the thermal expansion coefficient decreases from 12.4 to 11.9 × 10?6 K?1 for x = 0 and x = 0.25, respectively.  相似文献

A chemical sensor array (consisting of 8 conducting polymers) was used to continuously monitor for the presence or absence of industrial pollutants in the headspace of wastewater generated from an on-line flow-cell. A domestic wastewater (Cranfield University sewage works) was dosed with diesel to stimulate the presence of an intermittent discharge in a wastewater influent. Response patterns between the sensors were used to detect for the presence of organic compounds in the wastewater. Correlations between the sensor response patterns or fingerprints were also analysed using principal component analysis. The results clearly demonstrate that a chemical sensor array can rapidly identify the presence of organic compounds (such as diesel) in a wastewater matrix and could be further developed to monitor for industrial pollutants at the inlet of a sewage works.  相似文献

At least two neutralizing epitopes have been identified in the amino acid (aa) sequence 190-289 of the RSV fusion protein. The authors expressed this region in insect cells (bF190-289) and compared the immune response to bF190-289 with that induced by baculovirus expressed full-length fusion protein (bF). As with bF, mice primed with bF190-289 produced exclusively antibodies of IgG1 isotype, generated neutralizing antibodies, reduced significantly the virus titer (about a half log10 reduction) after RSV challenge and induced a Helper T (Th) 2 cell response in mediastinal lymph node cells (MLNC) restimulated in vitro. Thus, the aa sequence 190-289 represents a major immunogenic region of the RSV fusion protein.  相似文献

Carbon-carbon composites made from ex-acrylic fibres and pyrocarbon matrices have been gasified in air in order to investigate their resistance to oxidation. The carbon fibres and the surrounding pyrocarbon layers are preferentially oxidized due to a catalytic process. The importance of the catalytic phenomenon depends primarly on the heat treatment of the composites. Lowest oxidation rates are obtained after heat treatment at 2900 K. Oxidation tests allow a simple evaluation of the carbon-carbon composites performance at the laboratory scale.  相似文献

In situ Angle Resolved X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARXPS) characterizations of TiO2 thin films grown on silicon by Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition were performed in order to get information on interfacial reactions at the first stages of the growth, one of the aims being to understand the influence of deposition conditions. Thickness measurements were also carried out from ARXPS analyses. As the real structure of the films was shown to be a double layer system such as TiO2/SiO2/Si, an ARXPS model of thickness and surface coverage determination was applied to each layer independently. However, the application of this model to very thin films underestimates the surface coverage of the interfacial layer. A “Double Layer” model taking into account the attenuation of the silicon oxide and substrate signals by the external layer was also developed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We propose a novel approach to define Artificial Neural Network(ANN) architecture from Boolean factors. ANNs are a subfield of machine learning applicable to several areas of life. However, defining its architecture for solving a given problem is not formalized and remains an open research problem. Since it is difficult to look into the network and figure out exactly what it has learnt, the complexity of such a technique makes its interpretation more tedious. We propose in this paper to build feedforward ANNs using the optimal factors obtained from the Boolean context representing a data. Since optimal factors completely cover the data and therefore give an explanation to these data, We could give an interpretation to the neurons activation and justify the presence of a neuron in our proposed neural network. We show through experiments and comparisons on the use data sets that this approach provides relatively better results for some key performance measures.  相似文献

A model for predicting shunt/leakage currents in a bipolar electrolyzer stack with dual electrolyte inlets and significant amount of gases in the outlet ports and manifold is presented. Model includes electrolyte, manifold and membrane separator as resistance components in the electric circuit analog of the stack. Activation overvoltage associated with electrodes is taken as Tafel-like. Current balance and potential balance equations are applied to the stack and difference calculus is employed to reduce the problem to a set of linear difference equations with constant coefficients. The model is validated with published results and the effect of each resistance component and number of cells on leakage currents in the stack is presented. Driving blood glycaemia from hyperglycaemia to euglycaemia as fast as possible while avoiding hypoglycaemia is a major problem for decades for type‐1 diabetes and is solved in this study. A control algorithm is designed that guaranties hypoglycaemia avoidance for the first time both from the theory of positive systems point of view and from the most pragmatic clinical practice. The solution consists of a state feedback control law that computes the required hyperglycaemia correction bolus in real‐time to safely steer glycaemia to the target. A rigorous proof is given that shows that the control‐law respects the positivity of the control and of the glucose concentration error: as a result, no hypoglycaemic episode occurs. The so‐called hypo‐free strategy control is tested with all the UVA/Padova T1DM simulator patients (i.e. ten adults, ten adolescents, and ten children) during a fasting‐night scenario and in a hybrid closed‐loop scenario including three meals.
