本文以某县火电厂一台AZD20—25/400型锅炉缺水干烧至熔的重大事故为例,试用安全系统工程(ETA)图树形分析法对事故发生的原因进行分析以查明事故原因,分清事故责任,拟定改进措施,并应用“人—机—环境”安全系统工程管理方法,就如何搞好锅炉的安全管理,防止事故重复发生,发表我们初浅的认识,其目的是对锅炉的使用管理作一点有益的工作。     

Infrared study of EPOXS-TEOS-TPOT gels

The thermal changes in the structure of EPOXS-TEOS-TPOT (where EPOXS = epoxysilane, 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, TEOS = tetraethylorthosilicate, and TPOT = tetraisopropylorthotitanate) derived sol-gel coating materials were followed by infrared spectroscopy. The study showed that for the low-temperature treated gels, the Si-O-Si network was very open, with many organic side groups connecting to it. One of the prominent characteristics of the structure was the presence of four-fold siloxane rings. TiO₂ plays a part in the formation of the network by Ti-O-Si bonding. With increasing the TiO₂ content in the system, the tendency towards the formation of the four-fold siloxane ring decreased. With increasing heat-treatment temperature, the organic side groups gradually disappeared and, at the same time, the siloxane ring structure decomposed and a more rigid and condensed Si-O-Si network was gradually established.

Transport anomalies and magnetic properties of Sn x Eu1.2−x Mo6S8 alloys

We have measured the resistance R, magnetoresistance, and magnetization of sintered samples of the compounds Sn _x Eu_1.2–x Mo₆S₈, where x = 0, 0.12, 0.24, and 0.48. A large resistance anomaly beginning at T ~ 100 K and extending to low temperatures is found in all of the alloys except x = 0.48, which had a high superconducting transition temperature T _c ~ 11.3 K. The resistance anomaly, which appears to be correlated with the depression of T _c, is also correlated with a large negative magnetoresistance at temperatures T 12 K. For all samples except x = 0.48, that part of the magnetoresistance attributed to spin-flip scattering is proportional to the square of the magnetization M ² and is 30–40% of R (0) for some samples. Magnetization measurements are consistent with a spin-7/2 paramagnetic behavior of Eu²⁺ ions when allowance is made for a concentration of 20–30% nonmagnetic (J = 0) Eu³⁺ ions as determined from Mössbauer measurements. The experimental results are inconsistent with predictions of dilute magnetic alloy Kondo models. We speculate that the resistance anomaly and suppression of T _c for x 0.24 are associated with a semiconductor-like behavior.Work performed under the auspices of the U.S. DOE.Work supported by NSF Research Grant DMR 78-2428.
