Administered the Mosher Forced-Choice Guilt Inventory, G. G. Galbraith's Word Association Test, and the Perceived Guilt Index, a trait-state measure of affective guilt, to 48 female undergraduates. Results indicate that while the Mosher and G-Trait scales are independent measures of guilt, taken together they are related to S's tendency to make sexual responses; Ss who scored low on both the G-Trait and the G-State scales made more sexual responses than Ss who scored high on both, or low on one and high on the other. Textile Reinforced Concrete (TRC) is an advanced cement-based material in which fabrics used as reinforcement can bring significant loads in tension, allowing architects and engineers to use thin cross-sections. Previous research projects, developed during the last 10 years mainly in Germany, Israel and the USA, have shown the capabilities of such a material. In this paper an extensive experimental investigation of TRC is presented: tensile tests were carried out to obtain a complete mechanical characterization of the composite material under standard conditions, considering the influence of different variables such as reinforcement ratio, fabric geometry, curing conditions, displacement rate and specimen size. 相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical framework for adaptive control of a wind energy conversion system (WECS), involving a squirrel cage induction generator (SIG) connected with an AC/DC/AC IGBT‐based PWM converter. A multi‐loop nonlinear controller is designed to meet two main control objectives, i.e., (i) speed reference optimization in order to extract a maximum wind energy whatever the wind speed, and (ii) power factor correction (PFC) to avoid net harmonic pollution. These objectives must be achieved despite the mechanical parameters uncertainty. First, a nonlinear model of the whole controlled system is developed within the Park coordinates. Then, a multi‐loop nonlinear controller is synthesized using the adaptive backstepping design. A formal analysis based on Lyapunov stability is carried out to describe the control system performances. In addition to closed‐loop global asymptotic stability, it is proven that all control objectives (induction generator speed tracking, rotor flux regulation, DC link voltage regulation and unitary power factor) are asymptotically achieved. 相似文献

Models have traditionally played a significant role in statistical mechanics. In view of the complexity of the system which statistical mechanics attempt to describe, this is not at all surprising. The study of simplified models has frequently revealed the underlying mathematical structure of many physical questions and in so doing the study of models has contributed directly to a clarification of several paradoxes which beset statistical mechanics.In this paper some of the models which appear to be useful for the discussion of non-equilibrium phenomena are examined in some detail. As usual these models are extremely simplified versions of the actual situations. It is, finally, as well to stress that although the models are mathematically simpler, the actual discussion is still sometimes quite complicated.“Mathematics is often regarded as the bread and butter of science. If the butter is omitted, the results is indigestion, loss of appetite, or both. The purpose of this book is to suggest some ways of buttering the bread. The human mind can seldom accept completely abstract ideas; they must be derived from, or illustrated by, concrete examples. In this paper, we analysed six indicators of the SCI Journal Citation Reports (JCR) over a 19-year period: number of total citations, number of citations to the two previous years, number of source items, impact factor, immediacy index and cited half-life. The JCR seems to have become more or less an authority for evaluating scientific and technical journals, essentially through its impact factor. However it is difficult to find one's way about in the impressive mass of quantitative data that JCR provides each year. We proposed the box plot method to aggregate the values of each indicator so as to obtain, at a glance, portrayals of the JCR population from 1974 to 1993. These images reflected the distribution of the journals into 4 groups designated low, central, high and extreme. The limits of the groups became a reference system with which, for example, it was rapidly possible to situate visually a given journal within the overall JCR population. Moreover, the box plot method, which gives a zoom effect, made it possible to visualize a large sub-population of the JCR usually overshadowed by the journals at the top of the rankings. These top level journals implicitly play the role of reference in evaluation processes. This often incites categorical judgements when the journals to be evaluated are not part of the top level. Our «rereading» of the JCR, which presented the JCR product differently, made it possible to qualify these judgements and bring a new light on journals. 相似文献
