The sorption behavior of heavy metal thiocyanate complexes was investigated for dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) resin and bis[2-(o-methoxyphenoxy)ethyl]ether (BMPE) resin. The DB18C6 resin showed a high sorption ability and the degree of zinc sorption increased significantly with thiocyanate concentration. This behavior was not observed for BMPE resin. The sorption behavior was influenced by the countercation species, and the degree of sorption of zinc ions showed the maximum when the potassium thiocyanate was used as a complexing salt. The sorbed species appear to be KZn(SCN)3, K2Zn(SCN)4 in the potassium thiocyanate system, and Zn(SCN)2 in the lithium thiocyanate system, respectively, according to analysis of the sorption equilibrium. Sodium and ammonium thiocyanate systems show an intermediate behavior of the two. The sorption selectivity for DB18C6 resin depended not only on the hydrophobic nature of heavy metal thiocyanate complexes but also on the stabilization of counter cation species with crown ether matrix, and the sorption selectively was found to be effectively controlled by countercation species according to the cation-chelation mechanism.  相似文献

The environmental stress cracking (ESC) of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) copolymer caused by a non-ionic surfactant (poly-oxyethylene alkylether) was studied by constant-load tensile creep tests and edge crack tension (ECT) tests. The fracture surfaces were investigated by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the morphology of the crack tip was investigated by a transmission electron microscope (TEM). It was found that the results of the creep tests performed in the non-ionic surfactant were very different from those performed in air. SEM images of the fracture surfaces showed that there were three different mechanisms of fracture and that specimens had a tendency to rupture by ESC when the stress was small. The results of the ECT tests and the TEM images showed that the change in the mechanism of the fracture was attributable to the change of morphology at the crack tip.  相似文献

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) under pure argon shielding gas atmosphere (pure argon-GMAW) is suitable to obtain a high-strength and high toughness welded joint. However, it is difficult that pure argon-GMA welding is applied practically welding structure because of arc instability. In order to perform stable pure argon-GMA welding, duplex current feeding GMAW (DCF-GMAW) has been developed. The DCF-GMAW consists of primary GMA welding current and secondary welding current by constant-current power resource. DFC-GMAW can feed larger current near wire tip. This effect makes that weld penetration depth is deeper, weld bead shape is improved using DCF-GMAW.  相似文献

The Akashi Kaikyo (Strait) Bridge, one of the major bridges of the Honshu-Shikoku bridge network connecting the main island and the Shikoku island, is the world's longest suspension bridge with a center span of about 2,000 m. The bridge was constructed over the Akashi Strait and opened to traffic in 1998 after a construction period of about 10 years. The granite stratum in the Akashi Strait was very deep, while the granite stratum provides the foundations for the other long span bridges which have been constructed in Japan. Three of the four foundations had to be constructed on either a weakly cemented gravelly soil deposit or a sedimentary soft rock layer. The geological structure was carefully investigated and the geotechnical properties, in particular the strength and deformation characteristics of these geomaterial types, were carefully evaluated. To this end, a comprehensive series of advanced triaxial compression (TC) tests were performed on rotary core tube samples of sedimentary soft rock after it was found that the due design was not possible based on unconfined compression tests. Both CD and CU TC tests and cyclic undrained triaxial tests were performed on rotary core tube samples (30 cm in dia.) of the gravelly soil. Based on the data, the long-term and seismic stabilities of the foundations were evaluated. The importance of strain- and pressure-dependent nonlinear stress-strain behaviour at small strains, as well as accurate strain measurements in the laboratory stress-strain tests, was confirmed by analyzing the full-scale behaviour of the foundation during and after construction and comparing the back-calculated stiffness values with those obtained from laboratory stress-strain tests, pressure-meter tests, plate loading tests and field shear wave velocity measurements.  相似文献

We investigated the mechanical and physical characteristics of composites composed of polyacetal [alternatively called polyoxymethylene (POM)] and cellulose fiber (CelF) derived from wood pulp [10–52 wt % (9.3–50.1 vol %)] without any fiber surface treatment. The modulus, deflection temperature under load, and thermal conduction coefficient of the POM/CelF composites were effectively enhanced with increasing CelF content, and the composites had an advantage of specific modulus compared to glass fiber (GF)‐filled POM. The flexural modulus of POM/CelF 40 wt % (38.2 vol %) was measured to be about 6 GPa, which was comparable to that of POM/GF 20 wt % (12.1 vol %). In the composites, the CelFs were distributed randomly as monofilaments, and the debonding of the interface between the fibers and POM matrices in the fracture faces was confirmed as less by scanning electron microscopy observation. The POM/CelF composites possessed lower specific wear rates than the POM/GF composites, and they had damping behaviors near that of neat POM. No clear dependence of the melt flow index of the base POM on these characteristics was observed, except on Charpy impact strength. The composites studied here were unique in their performance and ability to be designed in accordance with specific demands, and they could be potential replacements for mineral‐filled and GF‐filled POM composites. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Silicon nitride (Si3N4) was prepared from silicon by a sintered reaction-bonded silicon nitride method using yttria and magnesia as sintering additives. Post-sintering (PS) of nitrided compacts was carried out at 1850°C under a nitrogen pressure of 1 MPa. Effect of PS time on microstructure and dielectric breakdown strength (DBS) of the prepared Si3N4 ceramics was evaluated. The DBS was measured using specimens with four different thicknesses (0.30, 0.20, 0.10, and 0.05 mm) in order to examine the thickness dependence. The porosity of the sintered Si3N4 decreased by prolonging the PS time, and the full density could be achieved at the PS time of over 6 h. After full densification, rod-like β-Si3N4 grains grew up, and their maximum grain size increased from 45.1 to 154.7 μm by prolonging the PS time from 6 to 48 h. The DBS of the thick Si3N4 substrates (0.30 mm) showed little variation from 35.4 to 47.0 kV/mm, regardless of the PS time. On the other hand, that of the thin ones (0.05 mm) dramatically decreased from 99.5 to 9.8 kV/mm with increased the PS time from 6 to 48 h. Because the DBS sharply decreased at the thin substrate sintered for longer time in which some large-elongated grains might span the substrate thickness-wise throughout, it was inferred that the interface between β-Si3N4 grains and grain boundary phase/intergranular glassy films might be a path of the dielectric breakdown.  相似文献

The electroreductive polymerization of dichloromethylphenylsilane in the presence of triphenylsilyl group‐containing disilanes such as hexaphenyldisilane followed by the electroreductive termination with chlorotriphenylsilane afforded triphenylsilyl group‐terminated polymethylphenylsilane in 15–32% yield. The isolated polymethylphenylsilane (Mn = 3350 g mol?1, Mw/Mn = 1.4) was found to react as a macroinitiator to copolymerize with dibutyldichlorosilane under electroreductive conditions producing the corresponding block copolymer (Mn = 4730 g mol?1, Mw/Mn = 1.2) in 38% yield. The ratio of monomer units (? MeSiPh? to? BuSiBu? ) of the copolymer was determined to be 75:25 using 1H NMR analysis, which was in good agreement with the calculated ratio (74:26) on the assumption that molecular weight of the macroinitiator was not changed. The block structure of the resulting copolymer, poly(methylphenylsilane)‐block‐poly(dibutylsilane), was also confirmed by comparing its 1H NMR and UV absorption spectra with those of polymethylphenylsilane, polydibutylsilane and a statistical copolymer prepared by electroreductive polymerization of dichloromethylphenylsilane with dibutyldichlorosilane. This method is applicable to the preparation of other types of macroinitiator such as triphenylsilyl group‐terminated polydibutylsilane, and polydibutylsilane‐block‐polymethylphenylsilane was also obtained using this macroinitiator. To aim to obtain more stable solutions and wider area applications for the Time Domain Boundary Element Method (TDBEM), initial value problem formulation of the TDBEM is newly introduced for microwave simulations. The initial value problem formulation of the TDBEM allows us to solve transient microwave phenomena as interior region problems, which gives us well matrix property and interior resonance free solutions. This paper concentrates on applying the initial value problem formulation of the TDBEM to wake field phenomena in particle accelerator cavities.  相似文献
