The aerospace industry still uses fault trees to perform reliability analysis. This is because fault-tree modeling and analysis (FTA) seems easier to practical engineers when compared with Markov models, even though FTA provides a weaker form of analysis. In this paper, we propose an automatic strategy for generating Markov-based models and corresponding analysis formulations, according to ARP 4761, directly from Simulink diagrams annotated with failure information. The generated Markov-based models are expressed in the formal language PRISM, and the analysis is carried out by the PRISM model checker. The strategy is compositional and based on a comprehensive set of translation rules from Simulink to PRISM. We briefly address soundness and completeness of the rules and, to illustrate the application of the strategy, we apply it to a classical avionics case study: an actuator control system.  相似文献

A systematic method to deal with the interrelations of systems with multi-index quantities (random variables) is proposed. The method differs of the well-known Polykays. An application of the theoretical results here presented is the calculation of the moments of the sample variance for general populations in a direct way. The main advantage of the proposed methodology is that no conversion formulae and other complicated Polykays rules are needed. However, the proposed method is compatible with Polykays philosophy and conversion formulae and multiplication rules can be derived by using the theoretical results of this work. For practical purposes, two algorithms for the calculation of the moments of the sample variance are proposed.  相似文献

S-boxes constitute a cornerstone component in symmetric-key cryptographic algorithms, such as DES and AES encryption systems. In block ciphers, they are typically used to obscure the relationship between the plaintext and the ciphertext. Non-linear and non-correlated S-boxes are the most secure against linear and differential cryptanalysis. In this paper, we focus on a twofold objective: first, we evolve regular S-boxes with high non-linearity and low auto-correlation properties; then automatically generate evolvable hardware for the obtained S-box. Targeting the former, we use a quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm to optimize regularity, non-linearity and auto-correlation, which constitute the three main desired properties in resilient S-boxes. Pursuing the latter, we exploit the same algorithm to automatically generate the evolvable hardware designs of substitution boxes that minimize hardware space and encryption/decryption time, which form the two main hardware characteristics. We compare our results against existing and well-known designs, which were produced by using conventional methods as well as through genetic algorithm. We will show that our approach provides higher quality S-boxes coding as well as circuits.  相似文献

Accumulator schemes were introduced in order to represent a large set of values as one short value called the accumulator. These schemes allow one to generate membership proofs, that is, short witnesses that a certain value belongs to the set. In universal accumulator schemes, efficient proofs of non-membership can also be created. Li et?al. (Proceedings of applied cryptography and network security—ACNS ’07, LNCS, vol 4521, 2007), building on the work of Camenisch and Lysyanskaya (Advances in cryptology—proceedings of Crypto ’02, LNCS, vol 2442. Springer, Berlin, pp 61–76, 2002), proposed an efficient accumulator scheme, which relies on a trusted accumulator manager. Specifically, a manager that correctly performs accumulator updates. In this work, we introduce the notion of strong universal accumulator schemes, which are similar in functionality to universal accumulator schemes, but do not assume the accumulator manager is trusted. We also formalize the security requirements for such schemes. We then give a simple construction of a strong universal accumulator scheme, which is provably secure under the assumption that collision-resistant hash functions exist. The weaker requirement on the accumulator manager comes at a price; our scheme is less efficient than known universal accumulator schemes—the size of (non)membership witnesses is logarithmic in the size of the accumulated set in contrast to constant in the scheme of Camenisch and Lysyanskaya. Finally, we show how to use strong universal accumulators to solve a problem of practical relevance, the so-called e-Invoice Factoring Problem.  相似文献

This work presents SUTIL, a mechanism for network selection in the context of next generation networks (NGN). SUTIL selection mechanism prioritizes networks with higher relevance to the application and lower energy consumption and it enables full and seamless connectivity to mobile user devices and applications. Consequently, SUTIL contributes to realize the vision of ubiquitous computing, in which services, devices, and sensor-enriched environments interact anytime, anywhere to accomplish human designed tasks. The provided solution is based on utility function and integer linear programming and it aims at: (i) maximizing the user satisfaction while meeting application QoS and (ii) minimizing the energy consumption of devices when connecting to a target network. The solution is global since it considers for a given base station all devices that are simultaneously candidate for handoff. Simulation results showed the benefits of SUTIL usage in NGN environments.  相似文献

This paper introduces an approach to fitting a constrained linear regression model to interval-valued data. Each example of the learning set is described by a feature vector for which each feature value is an interval. The new approach fits a constrained linear regression model on the midpoints and range of the interval values assumed by the variables in the learning set. The prediction of the lower and upper boundaries of the interval value of the dependent variable is accomplished from its midpoint and range, which are estimated from the fitted linear regression models applied to the midpoint and range of each interval value of the independent variables. This new method shows the importance of range information in prediction performance as well as the use of inequality constraints to ensure mathematical coherence between the predicted values of the lower () and upper () boundaries of the interval. The authors also propose an expression for the goodness-of-fit measure denominated determination coefficient. The assessment of the proposed prediction method is based on the estimation of the average behavior of the root-mean-square error and square of the correlation coefficient in the framework of a Monte Carlo experiment with different data set configurations. Among other aspects, the synthetic data sets take into account the dependence, or lack thereof, between the midpoint and range of the intervals. The bias produced by the use of inequality constraints over the vector of parameters is also examined in terms of the mean-square error of the parameter estimates. Finally, the approaches proposed in this paper are applied to a real data set and performances are compared.  相似文献

This study investigates the preparation of polyetherimide (PEI) – LaNi5 composites films for hydrogen storage. Prior to the polymer addition, LaNi5 was ball-milled at different conditions (250, 350, and 450 RPM) and annealed at 500 °C for 1 h under vacuum. The composites were produced with BM-LaNi5-350 (PEI/LaNi5-350) and annealed BM-LaNi5-350 (PEI/LaNi5-350-TT). Membranes were successfully produced through solvent casting assisted by an ultrasonic bath. The particles dispersion and the film morphology did not change after hydrogenation cycles. In the H2 sorption experiments at 43 °C and 20 bar, the films stored H2 without incubation time; both samples reached a capacity of ~0.6 wt%. The H2 sorption kinetics of PEI/LaNi5-350 was comparable to that of BM-LaNi5-350, whereas PEI/LaNi5-350-TT presented significantly slower kinetics. LaNi5 oxidation was hindered by PEI, showing that it can be explored to improve metal hydrides air resistance. The results demonstrated that PEI films filled with LaNi5 are promising materials for hydrogen storage.  相似文献

The dielectric permittivity of Na0.80K0.20NbO3 ceramic was investigated by impedance spectroscopy. The dielectric characterization was performed from room temperature to 800 °C, in the frequency range 5 Hz–13 MHz. The bulk permittivity was derived by the variation of the imaginary part of the impedance as a function of reciprocal angular frequency. The permittivity values as a function of temperature showed two maxima. The first maximum is very similar at 200 °C and the second one positioned at around 400 °C, which was associated to Curie’s temperature. The evolution of the complex permittivity as a function of frequency and temperature was investigated. At low frequency dispersion was investigated in terms of dielectric loss. The Na0.80K0.20NbO3 showed a dissipation factor between 5 and 40 over a frequency range from 1 to 102 kHz.  相似文献

Obesity is a multifactorial pathology currently considered one of the main public health problems. Its prevalence is increasing dramatically in the last decades, reaching huge rates in Brazil and many other countries. Regardless of the factors associated with genetic predisposition, this pathology is often associated with abnormal food intake, and also with high consumption of caloric foods and sedentary habits. Thus, obesity is the result of an imbalance between food intake and energy expenditure. One of the greatest research interests in nutrition has currently been the dietetic determinants that may exert an influence on the process of food intake, as well as the role of foods on physiological, physical and chemical factors most related to the processes of satiation and satiety. Based on these aspects, this paper analyzes several research works to gain a better insight of the dietetic factors affecting food intake and body weight regulation.  相似文献

This contribution describes the absorption percentage of Pb2+ and Cu2+ from water by a superabsorbent hydrogel matrix (SH) made from an anionic polysaccharide copolymerized with acrylic acid (AAc) and acrylamide (AAm). Metal‐absorption tests, upon sequential pH variation, indicated that the SH has pH‐sensitivity for the absorption of both metals from solution, attributed to the functional ionic groups (? COOH) present in the AAc and arabic gum (AG) segments. At the pH 5.0, the SH exhibited good absorption capacity: 73.10% for Pb2+, 81.99% for Cu2+ in water and 63.64% for Pb2+, and 76.67% for Cu2+ in saline water with 0.1 mol kg?1 ionic strength. A replicated 22 full factorial design with a central point was built to evaluate the maximum absorption capacity of the metals into the SH. It was found that both the interaction and main effects of the pH and the initial concentration of metal solution on absorption percentage of the metals were statistically significant. Surface response plots indicated that the absorption capacity of both metals into the SH may be appreciably improved by using the solutions with lower initial concentration of metal and with higher pH values. Metal‐absorption results demonstrated that the SH is a convenient material for absorption of Pb2+ and Cu2+ from pure aqueous and saline aqueous environments. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
