The aim of the present work was to evaluate the contamination of some samples, taken from Moroccan wheat grains, by ochratoxin A (OTA), deoxynivalenol (DON) and the associated toxigenic fungi. Moreover, we focused on the influence of environmental factors on both the growth and OTA production by three strains of Aspergillus. The results showed that only few samples were contaminated by the two mycotoxins (2 samples for OTA and 7 for DON). The main isolated fungi belong to the Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium genus; 74 Aspergillus and 28 Penicillium isolates were tested for their ability to produce OTA. Only 2 A. alliaceus and 14 A. niger were able to synthesize OTA. However, none of Penicillium isolates can produce this toxin under the conditions mentioned. In respect of the effects of the temperature and water activity (aw), the optimal conditions for the growth and OTA production were different. While the optimal conditions of growth for A. alliaceus and A. terreus are 30 degrees C and 0.98 aw, A. niger preferred 0.93-0.95 aw at 25 degrees C, whereas the optimal production of OTA was observed at 30 degrees C for both A. alliaceus and A. niger at 0.93 and 0.99 aw, respectively. 相似文献

We demonstrate writing and probing of light-induced waveguides in photorefractive bulk LiNbO3 crystal using an endlessly single-mode photonic crystal fiber. The optical waveguides are written at visible wavelengths by slightly raising the ferroelectric crystal temperature to benefit from the pyroelectric-driven photorefractive effect and the guiding properties are investigated at telecom wavelengths using the same photonic crystal fiber. End butt coupling with this photonic crystal fiber enables writing and probing of optical waveguides due to the self-alignment properties of spatial solitons. 相似文献

We consider periodic square tilings of the plane. By extending a formalism introduced in 1940 for tiling of rectangles by squares we build a correspondence between periodic plane maps endowed with a periodic harmonic vector and periodic square tilings satisfying a regularity condition. The space of harmonic vectors is isomorphic to the first homology group of a torus. So, periodic plane square tilings are described by two parameters and the set of parameters is split into angular sectors. The correspondence between symmetry of the square tiling and symmetry of the corresponding plane map and harmonic vector is discussed and a method for enumerating the regular periodic plane square tilings having $r$ orbits of squares is outlined. 相似文献

Imaging localized plasmon modes in noble-metal nanoparticles is of fundamental importance for applications such as ultrasensitive molecular detection. Here, we demonstrate the combined use of optical dark-field microscopy (DFM), cathodoluminescence (CL), and electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) to study localized surface plasmons on individual gold nanodecahedra. By exciting surface plasmons with either external light or an electron beam, we experimentally resolve a prominent dipole-active plasmon band in the far-field radiation acquired via DFM and CL, whereas EELS reveals an additional plasmon mode associated with a weak dipole moment. We present measured spectra and intensity maps of plasmon modes in individual nanodecahedra in excellent agreement with boundary-element method simulations, including the effect of the substrate. A simple tight-binding model is formulated to successfully explain the rich plasmon structure in these particles encompasing bright and dark modes, which we predict to be fully observable in less lossy silver decahedra. Our work provides useful insight into the complex nature of plasmon resonances in nanoparticles with pentagonal symmetry. 相似文献

The challenge for all photovoltaic technologies is to maximize light absorption, to convert photons with minimal losses into electric charges, and to efficiently extract them to the electrical circuit. For thin-film solar cells, all these tasks rely heavily on the transparent front electrode. Here we present a multiscale electrode architecture that allows us to achieve efficiencies as high as 14.1% with a thin-film silicon tandem solar cell employing only 3 μm of silicon. Our approach combines the versatility of nanoimprint lithography, the unusually high carrier mobility of hydrogenated indium oxide (over 100 cm(2)/V/s), and the unequaled light-scattering properties of self-textured zinc oxide. A multiscale texture provides light trapping over a broad wavelength range while ensuring an optimum morphology for the growth of high-quality silicon layers. A conductive bilayer stack guarantees carrier extraction while minimizing parasitic absorption losses. The tunability accessible through such multiscale electrode architecture offers unprecedented possibilities to address the trade-off between cell optical and electrical performance. 相似文献

Quantum dot (QD) contrast-enhanced molecular imaging has potential for early cancer detection and image guided treatment, but there is a lack of quantitative image contrast data to determine optimum QD administered doses, affecting the feasibility, risk and cost of such procedures, especially in vivo. Vascular fluorescence contrast-enhanced imaging is performed on nude mice bearing dorsal skinfold window chambers, injected with 4 different QD solutions emitting in the visible and near infrared. Linear relationships are observed among the vascular contrast, injected contrast agent volume, and QD concentration in blood. Due primarily to differential light absorption by blood, the vasculature is optimally visualized when exciting in the 435-480 nm region in 81% of the cases (89 out of 110 regions of interest in 22 window chambers). The threshold dose, defined here as the quantity of injected nanoparticles required to yield a vascular target-to-autofluorescence ratio of 2, varies from 10.6 to 0.15 pmol g(-1) depending on the QD emission wavelength. The wavelength optimization maximum and broadband gain, defined as the ratio of threshold doses estimated for optimal and suboptimal (worst wavelength or broadband) spectral illumination, has average values of 4.5 and 1.9, respectively. This study demonstrates, for the first time, optimized QD imaging in vivo. It also proposes and validates a theoretical framework for QD dose estimation and quantifies the effects of blood absorption, QD emission wavelength, and vessel diameter relative to the threshold dose. 相似文献

Thermal barrier coatings (TBC) are commonly used in modern gas turbines for aeronautic and energy production applications. The conventional methods to fabricate such TBCs are EB-PVD or plasma spray deposition. Recently, the spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique was used to prepare new multilayered coatings. In this study, complete thermal barrier systems were fabricated on single crystal Ni-based superalloy (AM1®) substrate in a one-step SPS process. The lifetime of TBC systems is highly dependent on its ability to form during service a dense, continuous, slow-growing alumina layer (TGO) between an underlying bond coating and a ceramic top coat. In the present paper, we show that such kind of layer (called proto-TGO in the following) can be in situ formed during the SPS fabrication of TBC systems. This proto-TGO is continuous, dense and its nature has been determined using TEM-EDS-SAD and Raman spectroscopy. This amorphous oxide layer in the as-fabricated samples transforms to α-Al2O3 during thermal treatment under laboratory air at 1100 °C. Oxidation kinetics during annealing are in good agreement with the formation of a protective α-Al2O3 layer. 相似文献

Rats with perirhinal cortex lesions were sequentially trained in a rectangular water tank on a series of 3 visual discriminations, each between mirror-imaged stimuli. When these same discriminations were tested concurrently, the rats were forced to use a configural strategy to solve the problems effectively. There was no evidence that lesions of the perirhinal cortex disrupted the ability to learn the concurrent configural discrimination task, which required the rats to learn the precise combination of stimulus identity with stimulus placement (“structural” learning). The same rats with perirhinal cortex lesions were also unimpaired on a test of spatial working memory (reinforced T maze alternation), although they were markedly impaired on a new test of spontaneous object recognition. For the recognition test, rats received multiple trials within a single session in which on every trial, they were allowed to explore 2 objects, 1 familiar, the other novel. On the basis of their differential exploration times, rats with perirhinal cortex lesions showed very poor discrimination of the novel objects, thereby confirming the effectiveness of the surgery. The discovery that bilateral lesions of the perirhinal cortex can leave configural (structural) learning seemingly unaffected points to a need to refine those models of perirhinal cortex function that emphasize its role in representing conjunctions of stimulus features. A lumped-parameter thermal model of a cylindrical LiFePO4/graphite lithium-ion battery is developed. Heat transfer coefficients and heat capacity are determined from simultaneous measurements of the surface temperature and the internal temperature of the battery while applying 2 Hz current pulses of different magnitudes. For internal temperature measurements, a thermocouple is introduced into the battery under inert atmosphere. Heat transfer coefficients (thermal resistances in the model) inside and outside the battery are obtained from thermal steady state temperature measurements, whereas the heat capacity (thermal capacitance in the model) is determined from the transient part. The accuracy of the estimation of internal temperature from surface temperature measurements using the model is validated on current-pulse experiments and a complete charge/discharge of the battery and is within 1.5 °C. Furthermore, the model allows for simulating the internal temperature directly from the measured current and voltage of the battery.
