A quadratic cost functional for reconstruction of a high-resolution wave front from a coarse wave front is presented. The functional uses as data the position and the direction of the coarse wave front that had previously been computed with a ray-tracing method. This functional uses an optical relationship between the ray information and the wave front's shape to reconstruct a high-density wave front. The performance of the proposed functional is illustrated by reconstruction of complicated wave fronts for which this functional has an accuracy that is superior to that of conventional interpolation methods.  相似文献

A new chip-based method to identify protein-protein interactions was developed using the guanine nucleotide exchange factor GRF2 and two interacting proteins, Ras and calmodulin, as model proteins. A generic immobilization strategy for FLAG-tagged bait proteins on a protein-repellent streptavidin chip surface was implemented by presentation of an oriented anti-FLAG antibody. A flow cell device, integrating different chip surfaces, was developed, and the interaction of immobilized GRF2 with the two analytes was verified by fluorescence assays. On-chip tryptic digest assays were then performed on the capture surface and analyzed by microLC-MS/MS. The interaction of GRF2 with calmodulin and Ras was demonstrated, and the lower limit of detection was determined. We also implemented an on-chip immunoprecipitation assay to identify GRF2-binding partners from complex protein mixtures. Cells overexpressing FLAG-GRF2 were lysed and then incubated with the anti-FLAG chip. In addition to detecting GRF2, we also identified calmodulin, demonstrating that this technique can successfully identify endogenous levels of proteins, bound to recombinant bait proteins. This chip-based method has the advantage that no subsequent gel separations of protein complexes prior to LC-MS analysis are required and is therefore amenable to miniaturized high-throughput determination of protein-protein interactions.  相似文献

The problem of multicollinearity associated with the estimation of a functional logit model can be solved by using as predictor variables a set of functional principal components. The functional parameter estimated by functional principal component logit regression is often nonsmooth and then difficult to interpret. To solve this problem, different penalized spline estimations of the functional logit model are proposed in this paper. All of them are based on smoothed functional PCA and/or a discrete penalty in the log-likelihood criterion in terms of B-spline expansions of the sample curves and the functional parameter. The ability of these smoothing approaches to provide an accurate estimation of the functional parameter and their classification performance with respect to unpenalized functional PCA and LDA-PLS are evaluated via simulation and application to real data. Leave-one-out cross-validation and generalized cross-validation are adapted to select the smoothing parameter and the number of principal components or basis functions associated with the considered approaches.  相似文献

This paper presents a reference point-based interactive algorithm, which has been specifically designed to deal with stochastic multiobjective programming problems. This algorithm combines the classical information used in this kind of methods, i.e. values that the decision maker regards as desirable for each objective, with information about the probabilities the decision maker wishes to accept. This novel aspect allows the method to fully take into account the randomness of the final outcome throughout the whole solution process. These two pieces of information have been introduced in an adapted achievement-scalarizing function, which assures each solution obtained to be probability efficient.  相似文献

Multiferroics, showing simultaneous ordering of electrical and magnetic degrees of freedom, are remarkable materials as seen from both the academic and technological points of view. A prominent mechanism of multiferroicity is the spin-driven ferroelectricity, often found in frustrated antiferromagnets with helical spin order. There, as for conventional ferroelectrics, the electrical dipoles arise from an off-centre displacement of ions. However, recently a different mechanism, namely purely electronic ferroelectricity, where charge order breaks inversion symmetry, has attracted considerable interest. Here we provide evidence for ferroelectricity, accompanied by antiferromagnetic spin order, in a two-dimensional organic charge-transfer salt, thus representing a new class of multiferroics. We propose a charge-order-driven mechanism leading to electronic ferroelectricity in this material. Quite unexpectedly for electronic ferroelectrics, dipolar and spin order arise nearly simultaneously. This can be ascribed to the loss of spin frustration induced by the ferroelectric ordering. Hence, here the spin order is driven by the ferroelectricity, in marked contrast to the spin-driven ferroelectricity in helical magnets.  相似文献

Within the setting of linear elastodynamics of simple bodies, we prove that the discrete action functional obtained by following the scheme of asynchronous variational integrators converges in time. The convergence in space is assured by standard arguments when the finite element mesh is progressively refined. Our strategy exploits directly the action functional. In particular, we show that, if the asynchronicity of time steps and nodal initial data satisfy a boundedness condition, any sequence of stationary points of the discrete action functional is pre‐compact in the weak?* W1,∞ topology and all its cluster points are stationary points for the continuous (in time) action. Aim of the study was to investigate, by means of a driving simulator experiment, drivers’ behaviour in terms of speed, deceleration, and lateral position on major approaches of rural intersections in relation to different perceptual cues.In the experiment, ten different design conditions with and without speed-reducing treatments along the approach to the intersection were tested. Twenty-three drivers drove a test route two times and data from the second drive were used for comparison. The order of the ten design conditions was counterbalanced for all the drivers to minimize the presentation order effect. Three different data analysis techniques were used: (a) cluster analysis of speed and lateral position data, (b) statistical tests of speed and lateral position data, and (c) categorical analysis of deceleration behaviour patterns.The most effective treatments were the dragon teeth markings (based on the principle of optical road narrowing), the colored intersection area (based on the principle of intersection highlighting), and the raised median island (based on the principle of physical road narrowing). These measures, in comparison to the base intersection, produced: (1) a significant speed reduction starting from 250 m before the intersection in the range between 13 and 23 km/h, (2) a significant change in the deceleration behaviour with a reduction in the proportion of drivers which did not decelerate, and (3) a shift away from the intersection of the deceleration beginning. Given the significant effects on drivers’ behaviour, the dragon teeth markings, the colored intersection area, and the raised median island are strongly recommended for real world implementation.  相似文献

The authors report the fabrication and characterization of active waveguides in GeO2–PbO–Ga2O3 glass samples doped with Er3+, written with a femtosecond laser delivering pulses of 150 fs duration at 1 kHz repetition rate. Permanent refractive index change was obtained and waveguides were formed under different laser pulse energies and scan velocities. The passive and active optical properties of the waveguides were investigated. The minimum value of propagation loss was of 4.8 dB/cm. Optical amplification at 1.5 μm under 980 nm excitation was observed showing a maximal internal gain of 2.7 dB/cm.  相似文献
