I.c.v. injection for 9 days of either naltexone (NTX) (5, 10, 20, 40 micrograms/rat) or a selective mu peptide (CTOP) (0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 3, 6 micrograms/rat) or delta (naltrindole) (NLT) (5, 10, 20 micrograms/rat) subtype opioid receptor antagonist affected sensitization to cocaine (COC) (50 mg/kg, i.p.) administered 10 min after. NTX (5 and 40 micrograms/rat), NLT (10 and 20 micrograms/rat), and the peptide CTOP (0.25-0.5 microgram/rat) attenuated seizure parameters (percent of animals showing seizures, mean score and latency) in a day-related manner. The DD50 (days to reach 50% of death) value for COC was 2.69, whereas it was 9.67 and 7.27 for NTX 5 and 40 micrograms/rat, 8.59 for NLT (10 micrograms/rat), and 6.11, 5.95, and 4.30 for CTOP (0.25, 0.5, and 1 microgram/rat respectively). These findings suggest a concurrent involvement of mu- and delta-opioid receptor subtype in COC-induced sensitization to toxic effects. 相似文献

The successful implementation of a reoperative Bentall procedure with concomitant total aortic arch replacement after ascending aortic replacement for acute aortic dissection is infrequently reported. We performed a modified Bentall procedure with total replacement of the aortic arch in a patient suffering from worsening aortic regurgitation (AR) and residual dissection. The project FULLSPECTRUM — an Integrated Project (IP) in the terminology of the European Commission — pursues a better exploitation of the FULL solar SPECTRUM by (1) further developing concepts already scientifically proven but not yet developed and (2) by trying to prove new ones in the search for a breakthrough in photovoltaic (PV) technology. More specific objectives are the development of: (a) III–V multijunction cells (MJC), (b) solar thermo-photovoltaic (TPV) converters, (c) intermediate band (IB) materials and cells (IBC), (d) molecular-based concepts (MBC) for full PV utilisation of the solar spectrum and (e) manufacturing technologies (MFG) for novel concepts including assembling. MJC technology towards 40% efficiency will be developed using lower cost substrates and high light concentration (up or above 1000 suns). TPV is a concept with a theoretically high efficiency limit because the entire energy of all the photons is used in the heating process and because the non-used photons can be fed back to the emitter, therefore helping in keeping it hot. In the IBC approach, sub-bandgap photons are exploited by means of an IB. Specific IB materials will be sought by direct synthesis suggested by material-band calculations and using nanotechnology in quantum dot (QD) IBCs. In the development of the MBC, topics such as the development of two-photon dye cells and the development of a static global (direct and diffuse) light concentrator by means of luminescent multicolour dyes and QDs, with the radiation confined by photonic crystals, will be particularly addressed. Because of the interest in their possible application as biologically degradable polymers, the isotherms of sorption of water vapour by native and thermoplastic starch were measured. The thermomechanical treatment of starch and the insertion of glycerol as softener lead to the disappearance of the hysteresis and to the transition from a Type II to Type III isotherm. A theory, describing the sorption behaviour of swellable sorbents, is introduced and its statements are discussed by means of experimental results. DNA typing techniques are among the most advanced tools for human identification and can contribute to the identification of poorly preserved skeletal remains. Ten thousand people are thought to have been killed during the last dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983) and there are few official records on the identity of the victims or the location of burials. A mass grave containing 340 skeletons was excavated using archeological methods. A small number of individuals was identified by traditional forensic methods and one family group by mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis. Due to the lack of antemortem physical information on many of the victims, the application of molecular methods is imperative to speed up the identification process. We have tested two molecular screening methods, Y chromosome-specific short tandem repeats (DYS19, DYS385, DYS389 I, DYS389 II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392, DYS393) and amplification of autosomal microsatellites using nested primers. We study the relation among some security parameters for vectorial Boolean functions which prevent attacks on the related block cipher. We focus our study on a recently-introduced security criterion, called weak differential uniformity, which prevents the existence of an undetectable trapdoor based on imprimitive group action.
