This paper proposes a wide gamut LCD using locally dimmable four‐primary‐color (4PC) LED backlight. Although the color gamut of LCDs has been improved in recent years, it is insufficient to reproduce all the colors in the real world. The objective of this paper is to propose a wide gamut LCD that reproduces all the colors in the real world while keeping the cost increases to a minimum. We evaluated the color gamut reproduced by LEDs of multiple primary colors and selected cyan as the optimal color to be added to the three primary colors to reproduce all the colors in the real world. Therefore, we designed an LED backlight consisting of an additional only‐cyan LED with three‐primary‐color LEDs and developed a prototype LCD with 4PC LED backlight. Furthermore, we developed a local dimming algorithm for the 4PC LED backlight. As a result, we confirmed that the prototype LCD with the 4PC LED backlight is able to cover almost all the colors in the real world and also able to display natural images with highly saturated colors by local dimming. 相似文献

The electrical properties and internal friction in (40–x)Fe2O3·xNa20.60P2O5 glasses were measured. Two or three peak on internal friction were observed in the temperature range of –100 to 300° C at a frequency of about 1 Hz. The peak area of internal friction could be explained quantitatively by the additivity law of diffusion of Na+ ion and hopping of electrons which are carriers similar to those of dielectric loss. Activation energy, peak temperature of dielectric loss and internal friction showed almost the same value. Both relaxation phenomena have the same mechanism which is due to the diffusion of Na+ion and the hopping of electrons between Fe2+ Fe3+. The high-temperature peak is assumed to result from the interaction between protons or alkali ions and non-bridging oxygen. 相似文献

Bioactive glass-ceramics toughened by tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (TZP) were prepared by hot-pressing mixed powders of the MgO-CaO-P2O5-SiO2 glass and TZP containing 20 to 80% alumina. The bending strength and the fracture toughness of the composite materials were improved compared with those of the material without TZP. These composites showed high bending strengths (400 to 500MPa) and high fracture toughness ( 2.8MPa m1/2). The existence of a crack deflection mechanism was observed by scanning electron microscopy. After soaking in simulated physiological solution at 100 °C, no phase transformation from tetragonal to monoclinic of TZP in the composites and no degradation in bending strength occurred. 相似文献

This paper describes the development of a novel automatic FEM mesh generation algorithm based on the fuzzy knowledge processing technique.A number of local nodal patterns are stored in a nodal pattern database of the mesh generation system. These nodal patterns are determined a priori based on certain theories or past experience of experts of FEM analyses. For example, such human experts can determine certain nodal patterns suitable for stress concentration analyses of cracks, corners, holes and so on. Each nodal pattern possesses a membership function and a procedure of node placement according to this function. In the cases of the nodal patterns for stress concentration regions, the membership function which is utilized in the fuzzy knowledge processing has two meanings, i.e. the closeness of nodal location to each stress concentration field as well as nodal density. This is attributed to the fact that a denser nodal pattern is required near a stress concentration field. What a user has to do in a practical mesh generation process are to choose several local nodal patterns properly and to designate the maximum nodal density of each pattern. After those simple operations by the user, the system places the chosen nodal patterns automatically in an analysis domain and on its boundary, and connects them smoothly by the fuzzy knowledge processing technique. Then triangular or tetrahedral elements are generated by means of the advancing front method. The key issue of the present algorithm is an easy control of complex two- or three-dimensional nodal density distribution by means of the fuzzy knowledge processing technique.To demonstrate fundamental performances of the present algorithm, a prototype system was constructed with one of object-oriented languages, Smalltalk-80 on a 32-bit microcomputer, Macintosh II. Fe-30Ni alloy specimens were oxidized for 10–240 min at 433–473 K in pure oxygen at a pressure of 1.33×104 Pa. The thickness of oxide films was measured by a multiple-angle-of-incidence ellipsometer. The kinetics of film growth were found to obey a parabolic rate law. The depth-profiling of oxidized surfaces, performed with simultaneous use of Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and argon-ion sputter-etching technique, reveals that iron component is selectively oxidized and an iron-depeletion zone is formed in the underlying alloy. The thickness of the iron depletion zone increases with increasing oxidation time or oxidation temperature. During surface oxidation of the alloy, the transport rate of iron component in the film is almost equal to the interdiffusion rate in the underlying alloy, indicating the establishment of a steady state. The values of the interdiffusion coefficient,
, of the underlying alloy estimated from the depth-composition profiles are more than 10 orders of magnitude as large as the values extrapolated from the lattice diffusion data of the corresponding alloy obtained at high temperature. The enormously large values of

Nitride TiN, TiAlN and CrN films exhibit a high performance with respect to steel corrosion protection in supercritical water. However, for practical applications their corrosion resistance in water solutions is more important. Wet corrosion of nitride PVD films in neutral, acid and alkaline supercritical solutions was studied. The highest stability of the films was revealed in neutral sodium chloride and alkaline CH3NH2 solutions. In the latter case regular cubic spinel crystals were formed on the surface of TiAlN films. Electrochemical characteristics for several redox systems at diamond films with highly ordered nanometer-scale cylindrical pores (‘nano-honeycombs’) were examined with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance measurements. The cyclic voltammetric anodic-cathodic peak separations for these nano-honeycomb electrodes were in the same range as those for polished polycrystalline diamond films, indicating that the involvement of the oxygen-terminated surface of the nano-pore walls, which should give rise to large peak separations for certain redox couples was only slight. Moreover, the peak currents in the CV were not enhanced to the extent expected on the basis of the roughness factors of the nano-honeycomb films. Ac impedance plots results indicated the existence of a concentration gradient of the reactant in the nano-pores, which is in agreement with theoretical predictions for charge transfer reactions in porous electrodes. The average concentration of the reactant (Fe2+/3+) inside the nano-pores was a factor of ca. 80 lower than that in the bulk electrolyte. The results of the impedance analysis also indicated an increase in the reaction resistances with decreasing pore diameters. 相似文献

solvent of water and a water miscible organic solvent such as acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, dioxane, tetrahydrofuran,t-butyl alcohol or cyclohexanone. In this reaction the composition of the mixed solvent influenced the yield of N-acylated
glutamic acid and the best yield was obtained when the reaction was carried out in the mixed solvent comprising 30–60% v/v

Powder compacts of synthetic mica (fluorphlogopite) encapsulated in a boro–silicate glass tube were isostatically hot–pressed in a Roy–Tuttle–type pressure vessel.
