In order to investigate the overall atomic hydrogen background and the dynamic characteristics of wall pumping/fuelling phenomenon, a permeation probe system has been developed and applied in the spherical tokamak QUEST. Reliability of measurements, within ±3% accuracy and a positive correlation with the hydrogen line emission over three orders of magnitude have been demonstrated for more than 3000 various plasma discharges. By comparison of the experimental permeation (flux) curves with the numerically simulated curves, the net incident atomic hydrogen flux is evaluated in the range of 1 × 1019 H m?2 s?1 to 4 × 1020 H m?2 s?1. The atomic flux has been investigated as a function of various plasma operation parameters like RF power, gas pressure and magnetic configuration. Using the static particle balance and permeation measurements, the progress in wall conditioning has been investigated. An inverse correlation between the atomic hydrogen flux and improvement in wall pumping has been observed over the two campaigns. 相似文献

The low threshold current of 9 mA, the high side-mode suppression ratio of more than 45 dB, the extremely narrow spectral linewidth of 1.1 MHz, and the low chirping of 2.8 Å at -20 dB at 2 Gb/s nonreturn to zero (NRZ) modulation have been achieved in the multiple quantum well (MQW) distributed feedback (DFB) p-substrate partially inverted buried heterostructure (PPIBH) laser diode. The spectral linewidth of 1.1 MHz is the narrowest value among 300-μm-length solitary laser diodes. We present an all-fiber system for generating pedestal-free 22-fs ultrashort pulses with a single-peak spectrum. High-power Raman soliton pulses and a normally dispersive highly nonlinear fiber are used to generate a smooth, broadened single-peak spectrum. Then, the higher order dispersion is compensated for using a hybrid fiber composed of a reverse-dispersion fiber and a standard single-mode fiber, which allows pedestal-free ultrashort pulses to be successfully generated. Creation of superhydrophobic materials bio‐inspired by nature fascinates many scientists. One of the most intriguing challenges in this field is the fabrication of these materials using biopolymers from the viewpoint of green chemistry and environmental chemistry. Here, superhydrophobic and biodegradable nonwovens are constructed by electrospinning from a naturally occurring poly(amino acid), poly(γ‐glutamic acid) (γ‐PGA), modified with a hydrophobic α‐amino acid, l ‐phenylalanine. The contact angle of a water droplet on the materials is 154°, and the droplet remains stuck to the material surface even if it is inverted, clearly indicating a petal‐type superhydrophobic property. Biodegradability and post‐functionalization of the nonwovens as well as cell adhesion on the superhydrophobic materials are also evaluated. As far as we know, this is the first report on biodegradable materials exhibiting a petal‐type superhydrophobicity. The material design and processing shown here can be applied to various bioresources and such functional materials will become a new class of functional materials satisfying some of the requirements in green science. 相似文献

This study gives fundamental knowledge on the particle classification performance by centrifugal separator.It is found that the cut size of a centrifugal separator decreases as the rotational speed increases and the liquid flow rate decreases. Fitting our experimental results with the theory, they agree with each other at high flow rate. However, the difference between them generates at low flow rate. This is because dead spaces are generated in the centrifugal separator at the low flow rate. Also, the computer simulation of the fluid behavior in the centrifugal separator can find the decrease of the velocity near the wall under the low flow rate, which suggests the possibility of the formation of dead spaces in the separator. 相似文献

The microscopic mechanism of grain boundary (GB) embrittlement in metals by hydrogen segregation (trapping) has been not well understood for many years. From first-principles calculations, we show here that the calculated cohesive energy of bcc Fe Σ3(111) and fcc Al(Cu) Σ5(012) symmetrical tilt GBs can be significantly reduced if many hydrogen atoms segregate at the GBs. This indicates that the reduction of the cohesive energy of the GB may cause the hydrogen-induced GB embrittlement in Fe, Al, and Cu. Considering the “mobile” effect of hydrogen during fracture, especially for the Fe system, more hydrogen atoms coming from solid solution state can segregate on the gradually formed two fracture surfaces and reduce further the cohesive energy. We suggest a new idea about the upper and lower critical stresses observed in the constant-load test of hydrogen-induced delayed fracture in high-strength steels; the upper critical stress is determined by the amount (density) of “immobile” hydrogen atoms segregated at the GB before fracture, and the lower critical stress is determined by the total amount (density) of immobile and mobile hydrogen atoms, the latter of which segregate on the two fracture surfaces during fracture. 相似文献

A new friction powder compaction (FPC) process by the sintering and dissolution process (SDP) route for fabricating open-cell aluminum (Al) foam, which requires no external heat sources, was developed. Foams with porosities of 74 and 83 pct were successfully fabricated and their compressive responses were investigated. With increasing penetration of distributed generators such as photovoltaic (PV) systems in distribution systems, it is very important to quickly detect islanding caused by power system faults in order to assure electrical safety. We have developed a nonlinear magnetizing characteristics model of pole transformers for use in analyzing islanding prevention in PV systems. Using the pH-jump (neutral to above 11) for Tyr-OH ionization as a probe, two glucoamylases from Rhizopus niveus and Rhizopus delemar were found to be caused the change in conformation, which is in a kinetically single step. The pH titration at pHs below 12 was carried out on a multidimensional correlation spectrophotometer. Correlations among the spectrophotometric properties: fluorescence, absorption and circular dichroism are almost identical for the two enzymes. These results suggest that conformational characteristics of the niveus enzyme is almost the same as that of the delemar one. 相似文献
