For full understanding of the optical properties of alumina ceramics which are used as a substrate of thin film c-Si solar cells, we carried out computer simulations of diffuse reflectance and measurements of angle-resolved reflectance. As the result of the computer simulations, we obtained a theoretical expression for the reflectance properties of alumina ceramics with flat surface. The expression can be applied for the measured reflectance of alumina ceramics with rough surface when an effect of surface condition was taken into account. 相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulations are conducted on the dislocation behavior at the apices and edges of cuboidal Ni3Al precipitate in a pure Ni matrix, or the idealized γ/γ′ microstructure in a Ni-based superalloy. A tensile simulation of the [001] direction is implemented with a periodic cell that has eight cubic precipitates in order to investigate the nucleation site of dislocation in the idealized microstructure with no defects other than the γ/γ′ interfaces. The effect of residual internal stresses on the stability of the interfaces is also discussed. Other simulations are conducted on the behavior of edge dislocations nucleated from a free surface and proceeding in the γ matrix toward γ′ precipitates under shear force. Dislocation pinning at γ′ precipitates, bowing-out in the γ channel, pile-up and nucleation of superdislocation in the γ′ precipitate are simulated and inspected in detail. Discussions on the size of the γ/γ′ microstructure and the sharpness of the edge of the γ′ precipitate are also presented. 相似文献

The present study deals with investigations on synthesis, characterization and hydrogenation behavior of the MmNi5-type hydrogen storage alloys Mm0.9Ca0.1Ni4.9−xFexAl0.1 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3). All the alloys are synthesized by radio frequency induction melting following the composite pellet route. The X-ray diffraction pattern of dehydrogenated alloy without iron, detects peaks corresponding to calcium hydride, which are absent in the XRD pattern of the alloy with iron. The hydrogenation behavior is monitored by means of activation curves, absorption-desorption pressure-composition isotherms, hysteresis factors and desorption kinetic curves. The substitution of Iron at the place of nickel in the alloys Mm0.9Ca0.1Ni4.9−xFexAl0.1 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) gives an increase in the hydrogen storage capacity as 1.82, 1.90, 2.2 and 1.95 wt% corresponding to x = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 respectively. The correlation between structural characteristics and hydrogenation behavior is described and discussed. 相似文献

Vanadium dioxide (VO2) films have been proposed as energy efficient window coatings for their thermochromism, with which the solar energy transmission in the IR region may be controlled passively. These coatings suffer from low visible (or luminous) transmission (380–760 nm in wavelength), which hinders their practical uses. We here consider an antireflection (AR) coating for the VO2-based window. Optical calculation was first performed upon a basic structure for thermochromic window composed of a VO2 layer on glass with an AR layer of refractive index n and thickness d. Optimization was carried out on n and d for a maximum integrated luminous transmittance (Tlum). The calculation demonstrates that the optimal n value changes with thickness of VO2, and at n≈2.2 it gives the highest Tlum enhancement from 32% (without AR coating) to 55% for 50-nm VO2. Experiment was done on a structure of 50-nm VO2 on quartz glass using ZrO2, of which n≈2.2 matching the best n value, as AR coating. Formation of an optimized structure, ZrO2 (56 nm)/VO2 (50 nm)/quartz, was done by sputtering, and its optical properties were characterized with spectrophotometry. An improvement of Tlum from 32.3% to 50.5% was confirmed for the semiconductor phase with similarity also for the metallic one. The IR switching properties were not much deteriorated. 相似文献

The effect of alkali function group contained in electrode binder was investigated. Carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) improved the initial irreversible capacity loss in graphite negative electrode. Lithium acetate also improved the initial cycle efficiency. On the other hand, ethyl cellulose (EC) and hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), which do not have a carboxylic group, did not decrease the reductive electrolyte decomposition. After charge and discharge cycle, the surface film composition on the electrode with CMC was less than on the electrode without CMC. This suggests that a carboxylic group in the binder acted as a catalyst and promoted the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) formation which prevents the excess electrolyte decomposition on the graphite electrode. 相似文献

Oxidation resistance and water wettability of graphite flakes have been improved by a thin sol–gel film of magnesium aluminate spinel (MgAl2 O4 ) over its surface. The hydrosol has been synthesized by less expensive precursors and the spinel formation has been studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), supplemented with energy dispersive spectral analysis. After an easy-to-use mixing procedure, drying (110°C), and subsequent calcination (550°C), coated graphites were sieved to below 75 μm. The coating over the powder contained 1.5 wt% MgAl2 O4 , which enormously increased the oxidation resistance (performed at 600°, 900°, and 1200°C) and water wettability, as revealed by hydrophilic functional groups from infrared spectra. Defective, intermediate spinel structure of fine, lamellar Mg-doped γ-Al2 O3 has been considered to be significant for this improvement. An approximate (1:2) stoichiometry of (Mg:Al) in the coating composition was confirmed by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy test. Castables prepared by this graphite remarkably improved their bulk density and apparent porosity compared with those prepared by the as-received graphite. Casting water was reduced along with the amount of antioxidants. This also enhanced the resistance toward the basic slag by retaining the graphite in the refractory. 相似文献

Eu-activated BaAl2 S4 (BaAl2 S4 :Eu) blue light emission phosphor has attracted considerable attention recently as a prospective material for full color electroluminescent display applications. Although BaAl2 S4 :Eu was discovered over 30 years ago, the solid-state reaction between metal sulfides in sealed quartz ampoules remains the main method for the synthesis of this material. In this work, a homogeneous single-phase Ba0.95 Eu0.05 Al2 S4 (BaAl2 S4 :Eu) phosphor was obtained by the sulfurization–reduction of the multicomponent oxide precursor in a CS2 atmosphere at 1050°C. The oxide precursor containing barium, aluminum, and europium for this process was prepared by the polymerizable complex method, which ensures a high degree of homogeneity in the final product. The BaAl2 S4 :Eu material thus obtained exhibited a single emission line at 475 nm and a fluorescence intensity of 35% compared with one of the best commercially available (Ba,Eu)MgAl10 O17 phosphors. 相似文献

Recently, there has been an increase in concern about the global environment. Interest is growing in developing an energy network by which new energy systems such as photovoltaic and fuel cells generate power locally and electrical power and heat are controlled with a communication network. We developed the power generation forecast method for photovoltaic power systems in an energy network. The method makes use of weather information and regression analysis. We carried out forecasting power output of the photovoltaic power system installed in Expo 2005, Aichi Japan. The local variation of droplet diameter in a stirred tank was measured in the vicinity of the impeller and at another region. The degree of difference in droplet diameter between regions increases with the impeller speed. A correlation equation between the local difference in droplet diameter and the frequencies of coalescence and circulation of the droplet was derived according to the circulation interaction model. The degree of local difference in droplet diameter was found to be controlled strongly by the ratio of coalescence to circulation frequency. 相似文献

Micafungin (FK463) is a widely used treatment for life-threatening, deep-seated fungal infections. It is an echinocandin-like lipopeptide derived from the chemical modification of deacylated FR901379, a type of lipopeptide antibiotic produced by Coleophoma empetri F-11899. The palmitoyl moiety of FR901379 is deacylated by FR901379 acylase produced by Streptomyces sp. no. 6907. In this study, our goal was to generate an improved strain of Streptomyces sp. no. 6907 capable of hyperproducing the FR901379-acylase enzyme. To accomplish this goal, modified strains of Streptomyces sp. no. 6907 were generated using UV-irradiation mutagenesis, and strain selection was performed using an agar-plate screening method to efficiently select an acylase-hyperproducing strain. Three marker indices were shown to correlate with elevated acylase production: decreased candidacidal activity of FR901379, decreased proteolytic activity on skim milk, and phenotypic characteristics. Cloning and subsequent sequencing of the acylase gene from the hyperproducing mutant revealed no mutations in either the acylase structural gene or the 5'-flanking region required for gene expression. The growth medium was also modified to maximize acylase production. We successfully increased acylase activity approximately 65-fold, compared with the original growth conditions (wild strain cultured in the original unmodified medium). To minimize formation of excess foam during the fermentation process, we optimized the parameters of agitation speed, as calculated from the discharge flow rate. Using our improved strain and the optimized medium and growth conditions, we have developed an improved and highly reproducible method for stable large-scale production of FR901379-acylase. 相似文献
