Wavelength-tunable ultra-flat optical frequency comb generation is demonstrated using only a conventional Mach-Zehnder modulator that is asymmetrically dual-driven by large-amplitude sinusoidal signals with different amplitudes. A 10 GHz-spaced frequency comb with a 10 dB bandwidth of 230 GHz was experimentally generated. In addition, 50 nm widely wavelength tunable operation was achieved. 相似文献

This paper describes a 32-Mb embedded DRAM macro fabricated using 0.13-μm triple-well 4-level Cu embedded DRAM technology, which is suitable for portable equipment of MPEG applications. This macro can operate 230-MHz random column access even at 1.0-V power supply condition. The peak power consumption is suppressed to 198 mW in burst operation. The power-down standby mode, which suppresses the leakage current consumption of peripheral circuitry, is also prepared for portable equipment. With the collaboration of array circuit design and the fine Cu metallization technology, macro size of 18.9 mm2 and cell efficiency of 51.3% are realized even with dual interface and triple test functions implemented 相似文献

Our previous work identified thermal instability of p-type skutterudite as a primary cause of degradation during thermoelectric generator operation at 650°C. Residual Sb in the microstructure was believed to be the cause of diminished thermal stability, especially above the melting point of Sb (631°C). This work investigated addition of Nb to p-type skutterudite to from NbSb2, thus scavenging elemental Sb. The preliminary results of mode measurement in the ITER relevant 40 m long transmission test line composed from 63.5 mm diameter
corrugated waveguides and miter bends are presented. The field patterns were measured by taking temperature profiles on a
paper screen placed in front of the waveguide end using an infrared imaging camera. The complex electric field at the waveguide
end was retrieved from the measured temperature profiles. As a result, the transmission power includes 87% of HE11 mode and 6% of LP11 odd (HE21+TE01) mode and small ratios of other modes. The mode content had small dependence on length of the transmission line. This result
indicated that the higher order mode content generated at the input of the transmission line is conserved and propagated through
the transmission line. This suggests that the initial RF coupling to the waveguide is critical since it affects the launcher

A reaction model for the flavin mononucleotide-mediated coupling of catharanthine (C) and vindoline (V) under near-ultraviolet light was established based on the results of experiments on the effects of various physical and chemical factors on the disappearance of C and V, and the synthesis of the product, a dihydropyridinium intermediate (IM). The following events were deduced to occur. (i) C is oxidized in the presence of FMN and oxygen under near-ultraviolet light (C(OX1)). (ii) C(OX1) then couples with V to form IM. Degradation of C occurs simultaneously with its specific oxidation, as a result of which a part of the C is converted into the product (C*) which is incapable of coupling with V. When a reaction in which C(OX1) is further oxidized to another form (C(OX2)) is added and the counterpart for the coupling with V is changed to C(OX2) from C(OX1), the reaction model more appropriately describes the exponential increase in the product, IM, that occurs in the early stage of the coupling reaction. (iii) The degradation rate of IM is much greater after C has been consumed than before its disappearance. Using this reaction model, the coupling reactions under basal and optimized conditions were simulated and the results showed a good fit with the experimental values under both conditions. The kinetic study suggests that manganese ion (Mn2+) stimulates the binding of C(OX2) with V in addition to suppressing the degradation of C, resulting in an increased yield of IM. Mn2+ thus appears to be an important factor in the coupling reaction, in which it plays two different roles. 相似文献

A single ??-structure thermoelectric (TE) module based on p-type NaCo2O4, n-type Mg2Si, and Ni electrode was fabricated by the spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. The NaCo2O4 powder was synthesized by using a metal?Ccitric acid complex decomposition method. Bulk Mg2Si prepared by melt quenching was ground into a powder and sieved to particle size of 75???m or less. To obtain a sintered body of NaCo2O4 or Mg2Si, the powder was sintered using SPS. Pressed Ni powder or mixed powder consisting of Ni and SrRuO3 powder was inserted between these materials and the Ni electrode in order to connect them, and electrical power was passed through the electrodes from the SPS equipment. The open-circuit voltage (V OC) values of a single module in which TE materials were connected to the Ni electrodes by using pressed Ni powder was 82.7?mV, and the maximum output current (I max) and maximum output power (P max) were 212.4?mA and 6.65?mW at ??T?=?470?K, respectively. On the other hand, V OC of a single module in which TE materials and an Ni electrode were connected with a mixed powder (Ni:SrRuO3?=?6:4 volume fraction) was 109?mV, and I max and P max were 4034?mA and 109?mW at ??T?=?500?K, respectively. These results indicate that the resistance at the interface between the TE materials and the Ni electrode can be decreased and the output power can be increased by application of a buffer layer consisting of Ni and SrRuO3. 相似文献

A straightforward method for determination of k-vector (wave normal) direction of a whistler mode signal observed onboard spacecraft consists in measuring three components of the wave magnetic field with their instantaneous amplitudes and phases. In that method, one needs to send by telemetry a total wave form of a signal, which requires much larger bandwidth than for sending amplitudes only. The present study develops another method of determination of the wave normal direction based only on the amplitude data; the method is checked using Omega signal observations by the Akebono satellite. A theoretical calculation is presented for the effect of homogeneous broadening of optical gain on lasing spectra of quantum-dot lasers. Based on a coupled set of rate equations considering both the size distribution of quantum dots and a series of longitudinal cavity modes, we show that dots with different energies start lasing independently due to their spatial localization when the gain spectrum is a delta-like function, and that the dot ensemble contributes to a narrow-line lasing collectively under large homogeneous broadening. Plasma membrane was isolated from the salt-tolerant yeast Candida versatilis and the ATPase in plasma membrane was characterized. The ATPase was a typical H+-ATPase with similar properties to the Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii enzymes. It was reacted with antibody (IgG) raised against S. cerevisiae plasma membrane H+-ATPase. The ATPase activity was not changed by adding NaCl and KCl to the assay solutions, but was increased by NH, especially by ammonium sulfate. In vivo stimulation of ATPase activity was observed by the addition of NaCl into the culture medium, as observed in Z. rouxii. No in vivo activation of H+-ATPase by glucose metabolism was observed in C. versatilis cells and the activity was independent of the growth phase, like Z. rouxii and unlike S. cerevisiae cells. 相似文献
