Constant improvements in digital cameras have made it possible to use these devices for colour acquisition and reproduction at an advanced level. It is known that a colour match for all observers when changing illumination can only be achieved by matching spectral data. Obtaining spectral data from digital camera RGB values could provide a new way of using the digital camera as a spectrophotometric tool or as a high‐quality colour‐capturing system that is required in more demanding applications. In the present study, two spectral reflectance estimation methods were examined – the Imai–Berns method (ImaiBerns) and the spectral‐sensitivity‐based method (SpecSens). The purpose of the research was to simplify the procedure of the SpecSens method by using a diffraction grating and a spectroradiometer instead of a monochromator, and to compare the results with those of the ImaiBerns approach. Obtained spectral reflectance estimates were evaluated using the root‐mean‐square error and ?E00 metrics. Results of the research show that the ImaiBerns method was superior to SpecSens, most likely because the former method does not require knowledge of the camera spectral sensitivities, which often introduces errors into reflectance estimation calculations. Both methods were successful in predicting black, brownish, and dark patches, as indicated by a low root‐mean‐square error, as well as unsaturated pastel, pink, or skin colours, which produced low ?E00 values. On the other hand, many of the patches with a low root‐mean‐square error also exhibited high ?E00 values, while bright, nearly‐white patches were characterised by a high root‐mean‐square error. 相似文献

We have studied the influence of electric and magnetic fields on the orientational structure of ferronematics based on a thermotropic nematic 4-trans-4 \(^{\prime }\) -n-hexylcyclohexyl-isothiocyanato-benzene (6CHBT). The 6CHBT liquid crystal has been dissolved in phenyl isothiocyanate and doped with rod-like or chain-like magnetic particles. In such a mixture, the phase transition from an isotropic to a nematic phase is via a droplet state, i.e., coexistence of nematic and isotropic phases. The obtained results showed that a combination of the electric and magnetic fields can change the character of a phase transition from the isotropic to the nematic phase via the droplet state in such systems. Moreover, magneto-dielectric measurements of structural transitions showed the magnetic field induced a shift of the phase transition temperature from the isotropic to the droplet state. 相似文献

In this paper the influence of heat input and preheat temperature on the critical implant stress was analyzed for the weld metal of API 5L X80. High strength steel marked as API 5L X80 is produced with a thermo – mechanical controlled process (TMCP), its chemical composition shows low carbon content due to which the steel has good weldability, but in the weld metal zone cold cracking can occure. The goal of this paper is to define optimal work conditions in form of flux cored arc welding (FCAW) welding parameters at which no cold cracks can be found. The experiment was conducted using central composite design (CCD) and design of experiments (DoE) with two independent variables (preheat temperature and heat input). Mathematical models were developed for all three different wire types that were used (two rutile, one basic flux cored wire). Materials with broad absorption bands are highly desirable for electromagnetic filtering and processing applications, especially if the absorption can be externally controlled. Here, a new class of broadband‐absorption materials is introduced. Namely, layered metamagnets exhibit an electromagnetic excitation continuum in the magnetic‐field‐induced mixed ferro‐ and antiferromagnetic phase. Employing a series of complementary experimental techniques involving neutron scattering, muon spin relaxation, specific heat, ac and dc magnetization measurements, and electron magnetic resonance, a detailed magnetic phase diagram of Cu3Bi(SeO3)2O2Br is determined and it is found that the excitations in the mixed phase extend over at least ten decades of frequency. The results, which reveal a new dynamical aspect of the mixed phase in metamagnets, open up a novel approach to controllable microwave filtering. 相似文献

Thermal sprayed aluminium (TSA) coatings are widely used for the protection of steels from aqueous corrosion, including offshore structures and components that are exposed to seawater immersion, tidal and splash zone environments. In this paper, the influence of deposition parameters of aluminium coating on its corrosion properties was studied. For different application parameters of TSA coatings, the thickness, the microstructure and corrosion properties were determined. Determination of thickness was performed according to EN ISO 2064:2000 relating to the definition and determination of the thickness of metallic and other inorganic layers. Microstructure was determined using a Olympus GX50 optical microscope. The corrosion properties of the coatings were compared using an accelerated electrochemical corrosion test method. Electrochemical studies were carried out in accordance with the requirements of ASTM standard G 102 – 89. The TSA coating performance was quantified in terms of its corrosion potential and the corrosion rate, which was estimated from Tafel polarisation resistance measurements. 相似文献

Nowadays it is essential to test new preservation and decontamination procedures using naturally occurring chemicals against important pathogenic bacteria in meat. We tested the antimicrobial effect of rosemary extracts and the bacteriocin nisin against Campylobacter jejuni at a low storage temperature (8 °C) with or without short-term pre-freezing. The antimicrobial effect of rosemary extract was four times greater in laboratory media than in chicken meat juice. Furthermore, low temperature storage conditions prolonged the survival of C. jejuni in chicken meat juice. Nisin, with an approximately 1.0 log reduction was neither effective alone nor in combination with the extract. Pre-freezing with plant extract addition proved to be effective treatment by more than 3.0 log reduction in 48 h. The results in chicken meat food model again showed the synergistic effect of freezing and plant extract antimicrobial activity. As the combination of pre-freezing and plant extract treatment reduced the cell number by more than 2.0 log reduction, studies should be conducted to further evaluate this promising treatment for Campylobacter reduction in the poultry meat supply. 相似文献

Probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum L4 and strain Leuconostoc mesenteroides LMG 7954 were applied for the controlled fermentation of cabbage heads. The parameters of the controlled and spontaneous fermentations, including antimicrobial effect of cabbage brines obtained at the end of both fermentations, were monitored. To check out the influence of starter culture strains, 10 randomly chosen lactic acid bacteria, isolated at the end of controlled cabbage heads fermentation were identified by API 50 CHL test, and the presence of the probiotic culture was confirmed by Pulsed Field Gel Electrophoresis. The starter cultures applied for cabbage heads fermentation allowed lowering of NaCl concentrations from 4.0% to 2.5% (w/v), considerably accelerated fermentation process by 14 d, and improved the product quality. The produced sauerkraut heads are considered probiotic product as viable probiotic cells count in final product was higher than 10(6) colony-forming units (CFU) per gram of product. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: The results of this research could be applied in the production of fermented cabbage heads with added functional (probiotic) value and with lower NaCl concentration with expected shortened fermentation time. Ultrafast optical probing of electric field by means of electroabsorption combined with conventional photocurrent measurements was employed to investigate the drift and mobility dynamics of photo-generated charge carriers in the pristine PC61BM film and in the blend with a merocyanine dye. Electrons passed a 40 nm thick PC61BM film within a few picoseconds with time-independent and weakly dispersive mobility. The electron mobility is 1 cm2/(V s) at 1 MV/cm and an estimate of the zero-field mobility yields 5 ⋅ 10−2 cm2/(V s). The initial electron mobility in the blend is of the order of 10−2 cm2/(V s) and decreases rapidly. We conclude that electron motion in PC61BM based organic bulk hetero-junction solar cells is limited by barriers between PC61BM domains rather than by intrinsic PC61BM properties. 相似文献

The glass forming regions and some properties of the CdBr2-PbBr2-KI (10 to 50 mol % CdBr2, 10 to 70 mol % PbBr2, 20 to 40 mol % KI), CdCl2-PbBr2-KI (10 to 50 mol % CdCl2, 10 to 80 mol % PbBr2, 10 to 70 mol % KI) and CdCl2-PbCl2-KI (20 to 50 mol % CdCl2, 10 to 70 mol % PbCl2, 5 to 60 mol % KI) ternary systems were studied. Glasses exhibit remarkably high transmittance (up to 80%) in the visible and IR region (down to 250 cm–1 for CdBr2-PbBr2-KI, 300 cm–1 for CdCl2-PbBr2-KI and 400 cm–1 for CdCl2-PbCl2-KI for 1 mm thick plates). The values of glass transition temperature lie between 343 to 353 K and crystallization temperature between 343 to 403 K. 相似文献
