An initial Raman study on the effects of intercalation for aprotic electrolyte-based electrochemical double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) is reported. In situ Raman microscopy is employed in the study of the electrochemical intercalation of tetraethylammonium (Et4N+) and tetrafluoroborate (BF4) into and out of microcrystalline graphite. During cyclic voltammetry experiments, the insertion of Et4N+ into graphite for the negative electrode occurs at an onset potential of +1.0 V versus Li/Li+. For the positive electrode, BF4 was shown to intercalate above +4.3 V versus Li/Li+. The characteristic G-band doublet peak (E2g2(i) (1578 cm−1) and E2g2(b) (1600 cm−1)) showed that various staged compounds were formed in both cases and the return of the single G-band (1578 cm−1) demonstrates that intercalation was fully reversible. The disappearance of the D-band (1329 cm−1) in intercalated graphite is also noted and when the intercalant is removed a more intense D-band reappears, indicating possible lattice damage. For cation intercalation, such irreversible changes of the graphite structure are confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).  相似文献

Adaptive systems with piezoelectric components offer significant opportunities for the active control of dynamic behaviour. Vibration and acoustics control as well as structural health monitoring are also possible. However ineffective production technologies prevent industrial applications. The authors are therefore proposing the integration of piezo-modules inside a double-layer sheet. The use of semi-cured adhesive avoids shear-forces being transferred to the piezo-modules during forming. After forming the adhesive will cure and the transfer of piezoelectric strain to the sheet is made possible. A detailed finite-element-model incorporating the electro-mechanical characteristics of the piezo-modules has been developed. The simulation results were validated experimentally.  相似文献

In the production of higher hydrocarbons, combining oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) with hydrogenation of the formed carbon oxides in a separate reactor provides an alternative to the currently applied methane conversion to syngas followed by Fischer‐Tropsch synthesis. The effects of CH4:O2 feed ratio in the OCM reactor and partial pressures of H2 or/and H2O in the hydrogenation reactor were analyzed to maximize production of C2+ hydrocarbons and reduce COx formation. The highest C2+ yield was achieved with low CH4:O2 feed ratio for OCM and removal of the formed water before entering the hydrogenation reactor.  相似文献

The viscosin group covers a series of cyclic lipodepsipeptides (CLPs) produced by Pseudomonas bacteria, with a range of biological functions and antimicrobial activities. Their oligopeptide moieties are composed of both L ‐ and D ‐amino acids. Remarkably, the Leu5 amino acid—centrally located in the nonapeptide sequence—is the sole residue found to possess either an L or D configuration, depending on the producing strain. The impact of this D /L switch on the solution conformation was investigated by NMR‐restrained molecular modelling of the epimers pseudodesmin A and viscosinamide A. Although the backbone fold remained unaffected, the D /L switch adjusted the segregation between hydrophobic and hydrophilic residues, and thus the amphipathicity. It also influenced the self‐assembly capacity in organic solvents. Additionally, several new minor variants of viscosinamide A from Pseudomonas fluorescens DR54 were identified, and an NMR assay is proposed to assess the presence of either an L ‐ or D ‐Leu5.  相似文献

Plants attacked by herbivores have evolved different strategies that fend off their enemies. Insect eggs deposited on leaves have been shown to inhibit further oviposition through visual or chemical cues. In some plant species, the volatile methyl salicylate (MeSA) repels gravid insects but whether it plays the same role in the model species Arabidopsis thaliana is currently unknown. Here we showed that Pieris brassicae butterflies laid fewer eggs on Arabidopsis plants that were next to a MeSA dispenser or on plants with constitutively high MeSA emission than on control plants. Surprisingly, the MeSA biosynthesis mutant bsmt1-1 treated with egg extract was still repellent to butterflies when compared to untreated bsmt1-1. Moreover, the expression of BSMT1 was not enhanced by egg extract treatment but was induced by herbivory. Altogether, these results provide evidence that the deterring activity of eggs on gravid butterflies is independent of MeSA emission in Arabidopsis, and that MeSA might rather serve as a deterrent in plants challenged by feeding larvae.  相似文献

In a global product development environment, more and more companies are implementing distributed engineering processes in order to shorten the time to market and merge different core competences. One of the important issues in collaborative product development during the whole product creation is to easily and quickly access the digital product definition models and documents of relevant partners. The essential problems of product data distribution are that each partner has to know what information to find in which system, how to collect the necessary information from individual systems, and how to assemble partial information so that it becomes complete. Even more difficult is the need to ensure the partner adapts to every change in the distribution model of information. To solve these problems, we propose the OpenPDM-based product data exchange method among heterogeneous PDM systems, which is a concept of a virtual data warehouse that provides data access to all partners in a distributed environment. The method is effective for partners who require real-time access to data residing in multiple heterogeneous PDM systems. We also implemented an integrated PDM system for logically linking product data which are physically distributed, and we used this system in a data exchange experiment.  相似文献

A new concept that allows measuring 1D–3D objects in the range of several centimeters to 5 m × 5 m × 5 m is presented. In general terms the concept can be seen as a task specific correction of geometrical errors of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). The developed system comprises a commercial CMM, its measurement and its evaluation software and a set of at least four high accurate tracking laser interferometers. The CMM is simply used as a mover which allows to capture points on the surface of a measuring object. In parallel the tracking laser interferometers follow a retro-reflector located close to the stylus tip of the tactile probe of the CMM. Based on a multi-lateration algorithm 3D-positions are calculated from the measured interferometric distances. Finally, two sets of coordinates emerged, namely, one by the CMM and the second from the metrological frame of the tracking laser interferometers. The interferometrically measured positions are usually more precise than the positions measured by the CMM. This is due to the high accuracy of the interferometric system and also due to the fact that the measurement positions are taken in a manner which almost avoids Abbe errors. Because of that, the measurement positions of the CMM are substituted with the more accurate measurement points calculated from distance measurements of the tracking interferometers. The position coordinates thus obtained are used for the further computerized evaluations, which yield the geometric parameters of the object measured. First measurements under laboratory condition show very promising results. It has been demonstrated that the concept is suitable for the high precision calibration of large workpieces with small tolerances, for instance, for the calibration of large gears for the windmill industry.  相似文献

Experiments dedicated to the characterization of plasma mirrors with a high energy, single shot short-pulse laser were performed at the 100 TW target area of the Z-Backlighter Facility at Sandia National Laboratories. A suite of beam diagnostics was used to characterize a high energy laser pulse with a large aperture through focus imaging setup. By varying the fluence on the plasma mirror around the plasma ignition threshold, critical performance parameters were determined and a more detailed understanding of the way in which a plasma mirror works could be deduced. It was found, that very subtle variations in the laser near field profile will have strong effects on the reflected pulse if the maximum fluence on the plasma mirror approaches the plasma ignition threshold.  相似文献

We present a compact modular apparatus with a flexible design that will be operated at the DiProI beamline of the Fermi@Elettra free electron laser (FEL) for performing static and time-resolved coherent diffraction imaging experiments, taking advantage of the full coherence and variable polarization of the short seeded FEL pulses. The apparatus has been assembled and the potential of the experimental setup is demonstrated by commissioning tests with coherent synchrotron radiation. This multipurpose experimental station will be open to general users after installation at the Fermi@Elettra free electron laser in 2011.  相似文献
