Our aim was to test how MWCNTs can be used as a new adsorbent for mercury(II). Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have been used for removal of mercury from aqueous solutions. Mercury removal from aqueous solutions by batch adsorption was investigated. Equilibrium isotherms, such as Freundlich, Langmuir, Temkin, Harkins-Jura, were tested. Kinetic studies based on Lagergren first-order, pseudo-second-order and Elovich rate expressions were done. The batch experiments were conducted at three different temperatures (17, 27 and 37 °C) and different pHs of the initial solution. Error function analysis shows that mercury(II) removal obeys pseudo-second order kinetics and Freundlich isotherm equation. Finally, the effects of solution pH and temperature on the adsorption were studied.  相似文献

Imprinted polymers are now being increasingly considered for active biomedical uses such as drug delivery. In this work, the use of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) in designing new drug delivery devices was studied. Imprinted polymers were prepared from methacrylic acid (MAA) (functional monomer), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (cross‐linker), and dipyridamole (DIP) (as a drug template) using precipitation polymerization method. The influence of the template/functional monomer proportion and pH on the achievement of MIPs with nanopore cavities with a high enough affinity for the drug was investigated. The small pores (average 3.9 nm) in the imprinted microspheres show excellent retention properties for the target analyte. The polymeric devices were further characterized by FT‐IR, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, photon correlation spectroscopy, Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller analysis, and binding experiments. The imprinted polymers showed a higher affinity for DIP and a slower release rate than the nonimprinted polymers. The controlled releases of DIP from the prepared imprinted polymers were investigated by an in vitro dissolution test by measuring the absorbance at 284 nm by means of a UV–Visible spectrophotometer. Loaded imprinted microsphers showed very slow release in various solutions such as phosphate buffer solution (pH 6.8), HCl (pH 1.0) and mixture of HCl and MeOH at 37.0 ± 0.5°C and were able to prolong DIP release for more than two days. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Multicast routing is an effective mechanism for delivering data to a group of receivers. Due to intrinsic property of air medium in wireless mesh networks (WMN), interference is an important issue in determining the data rate for multicast services. Interference reduction is handled by assigning multiple orthogonal channels to multiple radios in multi-radio multi-channel WMNs. Channel assignment is known to be a NP-complete problem. Most prior methods have solved multicast routing and channel assignment problems sequentially and have not considered the interplay between these two problems. Focusing on this issue, we address joint channel assignment and routing problem for multicast applications. In this paper, a novel technique based on a multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed to build a delay constrained minimum cost multicast tree with minimum interference. We have examined the proposed algorithm on different network configurations. Experimental results demonstrate that our method finds better trees in terms of cost, delay, and interference compared to prior methods.  相似文献

Speed and complexity of a reverse converter are two important factors that affect the performance of a residue number system. In this paper, two efficient reverse converters are proposed for the 4-moduli sets {2 \(^{2n-1}-1\) , 2 \(^{n}\) , 2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) } and {2 \(^{2n-1}\) , 2 \(^{2n-1}-1\) , 2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) } with 5 \(n\) -bit and 6 \(n\) -bit dynamic range, respectively. The proposed reverse converter for moduli set {2 \(^{2n-1}-1\) , 2 \(^{n}\) , 2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) } has been designed based on CRT and New CRT-I algorithms and in two-level structure. Also, an efficient reverse converter for moduli set {2 \(^{2n-1}\) , 2 \(^{2n-1}-1\) , 2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) } has been designed by applying New CRT-I algorithm. The proposed reverse converters are based on adders and hence can be simply implemented by VLSI circuit technology. The proposed reverse converters offer less delay and hardware cost when compared with the recently introduced reverse converters for the moduli sets {2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) ,2 \(^{n}\) , 2 \(^{2n+1}-1\) } and {2 \(^{n}+1\) , 2 \(^{n}-1\) , 2 \(^{2n}\) , 2 \(^{2n+1}-1\) }.  相似文献

In this study acoustic emission (AE) technique was used for monitoring mode I delamination test of sandwich composites. Since, during mode I delamination test various damage mechanisms appear, their classification is of major importance. Hence, integration of \(k\) -means algorithm and genetic algorithm was applied as an efficient clustering method to discriminate different failure modes. Performing primary experiments to find the relationship between AE parameters and damage mechanisms, the AE signals of obtained clusters were assigned to distinct damage mechanisms. Also, the dominance of damage mechanisms was determined based on the distribution of AE signals in different clusters. Finally SEM observation was employed to verify obtained results. The results indicate the efficiency of the proposed method in damage classification of sandwich composites.  相似文献

This article investigates the nondestructive capability of ultrasonic waves in residual stress evaluation of austenitic stainless steel plates (AISI 304L). Longitudinal critically refracted (L CR ) waves are employed to measure the residual stresses. Measuring the acoustoelastic constant through the tensile test is eliminated on the main investigated sample to keep it intact. Another welded plate with the same welding specification, geometry, thickness, and the same material is used to extract tensile test samples. To find the acoustoelastic constant of the heat affected zone (HAZ), a metallographic investigation is done to produce microstructure similar to that of the HAZ in a tensile test sample. A finite element model of welding process, which is validated by hole-drilling method, is used to verify the ultrasonic results. The results show good agreement between finite element and ultrasonic stress measurements which is accomplished nondestructively.  相似文献

In this paper, we proposed a robust music genre classification method based on a sparse FFT based feature extraction method which extracted with discriminating power of spectral analysis of non-stationary audio signals, and the capability of sparse representation based classifiers. Feature extraction method combines two sets of features namely short-term features (extracted from windowed signals) and long-term features (extracted from combination of extracted short-time features). Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed feature extraction method leads to a sparse representation of audio signals. As a result, a significant reduction in the dimensionality of the signals is achieved. The extracted features are then fed into a sparse representation based classifier (SRC). Our experimental results on the GTZAN database demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the other state of the art SRC approaches. Moreover, the computational efficiency of the proposed method is better than that of the other Compressive Sampling (CS)-based classifiers.  相似文献

In this article, an ultra-high-speed multiply-accumulate (MAC) structure is proposed. This fused MAC block uses low-voltage-swing (LVS) technique in the utilized carry-save adders and the final adder to improve its speed. Carry-save adders and the final adder are implemented with pass-transistor-based Manchester-carry-chain logic. Sense amplifiers are used in the output nodes to amplify the LVS signals to the standard levels of zero and one. With this technique, we achieved the outstanding clock frequency of 15 GHz for a five-stage pipelined MAC, which is 87.5% higher than the highest speed achieved for a pipelined multiplier in 65 nm technology and above, with the power consumption of 25 mW/GHz in 1.2 V voltage supply.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization, properties and crystal structure of {(bis[4-(2-pyridylmethyleneamino)phenyl]methane)[Re(CO)3Br]2} complex are reported. The 1H NMR data for this complex shows downfield shift of the bis-diimine ligand protons upon coordination to the Re center. The molecular structure of the dinuclear rhenium(I) complex exhibits distorted octahedral geometries around the each metal center with one Br and facial arrangement of three CO and a cis-bonded diimine ligands. The bis-diimine ligand, twists via a half-turn around the metal–metal axis. Electrochemical investigation reveals two oxidation waves and two irreversible reduction waves.  相似文献

White clover (cv. Grasslands Huia), red clover (cv. Norseman) and lucerne (cv. Sabilt) were sampled during primary growth at the flower bud, near full flowering and seeds formed stages in each of 2 years. Each sample was separated into 2–11 plant parts, depending on species and stage of growth, and for each part the in-vitro true dry matter digestibility, digestibility of cell wall and percentages of cell content, nitrogen, water-soluble carbohydrate and lignin were determined. Green leaflets of all three species were consistently high in digestibility. The cell wall fraction of green leaflets was less digestible in red clover than in white clover and lucerne. The digestibility of the upper part of the stem of lucerne and red clover was high at the flower bud stage but declined considerably thereafter, whereas the digestibility of the lower part of the stem was much lower at the flower bud stage and declined relatively little. The green leaf stalks and inflorescences were generally rather less digestible than green leaflets and, in lucerne and red clover, more digestible than stems. In white clover the inflorescence stalks were less digestible than the leaf stalks. The digestibility of plant parts was strongly correlated with the proportion of cell content, and less strongly with the digestibility of cell wall. The proportion of cell content was positively correlated with N%, and the digestibility of cell wall was negatively correlated with the proportion of lignin in cell wall.  相似文献
