The influence of treating the coatings obtained by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) and various fractions of polytetrafluoroethylene
on the state of the surface of formed composite layers has been studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, differential
thermal analysis, and thermogravimetry. Differences in the resistance to charge transfer at the oxide heterostructure/electrolyte
interface for various composite layers have been found. The obtained data significantly enlarge and complement the possibilities
of directly forming protective coatings, including antiscale ones, on the surface of titanium alloys operating in aggressive
media at high temperatures.

Stationary regimes of combustion in an energy-conversion system are studied, and its efficiency is estimated. This system
is a channel with thermoelectric converters embedded into the channel walls and with combustion of premixed gases inside the
channel. For the maximum efficiency of energy conversion in a small-size device to be reached, the properties of thermoelectric
materials, the device geometry, and other parameters have to be correlated with the internal structure of the flame. In particular,
the efficiency of energy conversion in a small-size device can be higher than that in a similar large-size device, and the
maximum efficiency is reached near the flammability limits.

The characteristics of nuclear photographic materials (MP and Kodak BioMax MR Film photographic films and MP photographic plates) were investigated. The dependence of their optical density on the β-particle fluence, their sensitivities versus the β-particle energy, and the relative error in measuring the average and local β-particle fluences were determined.
