We address the problem of adaptive output-feedback stabilization of general first-order hyperbolic partial integro-differential equations (PIDE). Such systems are also referred to as PDEs with non-local (in space) terms. We apply control at one boundary, take measurements on the other boundary, and allow the system’s functional coefficients to be unknown. To deal with the absence of both full-state measurement and parameter knowledge, we introduce a pre-transformation (which happens to be based on backstepping) of the system into an observer canonical form. In that form, the problem of adaptive observer design becomes tractable. Both the parameter estimator and the control law employ only the input and output signals (and their histories over one unit of time). Prior to presenting the adaptive design, we present the non-adaptive/baseline controller, which is novel in its own right and facilitates the understanding of the more complex, adaptive system. The parameter estimator is of the gradient type, based on a parametric model in the form of an integral equation relating delayed values of the input and output. For the closed-loop system we establish boundedness of all signals, pointwise in space and time, and convergence of the PDE state to zero pointwise in space. We illustrate our result with a simulation.  相似文献

Zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines comprising different numbers of pyridin-2-yl and tert-butylsulfanyl substituents were prepared by the statistical condensation of two precursors – 5,6-bis(tert-butylsulfanyl)pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (A) and 5,6-dipyridin-2-yl-pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (B). The ensuing zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines were chromatographically separated on silica column and characterized. Adjacent (AABB) and opposite (ABAB) isomers were not separated. The prepared zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines did not differ in their Q-band position but the B-band position was shifted hypsochromically for compounds bearing more pyridyl units; in addition, a weak band at 450–520 nm decreased with increasing number of pyridyl substituents. Singlet oxygen quantum yields (ΦΔ in the range 0.69–0.53) decreased with increasing number of pyridyl units on the macrocyclic core, while fluorescence quantum yields showed the reverse tendency (ΦF in the range 0.22–0.26).  相似文献

Optical properties of the ultrananocrystalline diamond films were studied by multi-sample method based on the combination of variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry and spectroscopic reflectometry applied in the range 0.6–6.5 eV. The films were deposited by PECVD in a conventional bell jar (ASTeX type) reactor using dual frequency discharge, microwave cavity plasma and radio frequency plasma inducing dc self-bias at a substrate holder. The optical model of the samples included a surface roughness described by the Rayleigh–Rice theory and a refractive index profile in which Drude approximation was used. The results conformed with the present understanding of the polycrystalline diamond growth on the silicon substrate because the existence of silicon carbide and amorphous hydrogenated carbon film between the silicon substrate and nucleation layer was proved.  相似文献

Understanding the mechanical response of polycrystalline materials on the mesoscopic scale remains a challenge as it is largely determined by grain-to-grain interactions and the discrete underlying microstructure. We conducted in situ synchrotron Laue microdiffraction experiments to map local strain tensors and orientations over polycrystalline thin gold films for different applied biaxial strain states. The experimental results demonstrate stress relaxation to be accompanied by cooperative transport of dislocation density leading to rotational plastic deformation heterogeneities. We propose a disclination model of closed dislocation walls and consider the geometry of transformations corresponding to a Burgers circuit enclosing the multipole disclination configuration. The observed stress-driven rotational deformation of the grain is shown to be described by the change in rotational closure failure associated with a Burgers circuit around the multipole disclination configuration. This concept is further advanced in a non-Euclidian geometry to demonstrate that the observed microrotation is captured by higher-order gradients in a micropolar continuum theory.  相似文献

We examine the stability properties of a class of LTV difference equations on an infinite-dimensional state space that arise in backstepping designs for parabolic PDEs. The nominal system matrix of the difference equation has a special structure: all of its powers have entries that are −1, 0, or 1, and all of the eigenvalues of the matrix are on the unit circle. The difference equation is driven by initial conditions, additive forcing, and a system matrix perturbation, all of which depend on problem data (for example, viscosity and reactivity in the case of a reaction–diffusion equation), and all of which go to zero as the discretization step in the backstepping design goes to zero. All of these observations, combined with the fact that the equation evolves only in a number of steps equal to the dimension of its state space, combined with the discrete Gronwall inequality, establish that the difference equation has bounded solutions. This, in turn, guarantees the existence of a state-feedback gain kernel in the backstepping control law. With this approach we greatly expand, relative to our previous results, the class of parabolic PDEs to which backstepping is applicable.  相似文献

The courses of aniline oxidation with ammonium peroxydisulfate in aqueous solutions of strong (sulfuric) and in weak (acetic) acids, followed by temperature and acidity changes, are different. In solutions of sulfuric acid, granular polyaniline (PANI) was produced; in solutions of acetic acid, PANI nanotubes were obtained. The external diameter of the nanotubes was 100–300 nm, the internal cavity 20–100 nm, and the length extended to several micrometres. The morphology of PANI, granular or tubular, depends on the acidity conditions during the reaction rather than on the chemical nature of the acid. PANI nanotubes were also produced when aniline was oxidized in the absence of any acid. The bulk conductivity of PANI prepared in solutions of acetic acid was 0.08–0.27 S cm?1, depending on the acid concentration. Protonated PANI prepared in sulfuric and acetic acids were deprotonated with ammonium hydroxide to obtain PANI bases and the ammonium salt of the protonating acid. FTIR spectroscopy showed the differences in the molecular structure of the PANI bases. Irrespective of whether the polymerization was performed in solutions of sulfuric or acetic acid, PANI had hydrogen sulfate counter‐ions only. The PANI morphology is thus not controlled by the nature of counter‐ions. The acidity of the reaction medium determines the protonation of monomer, oligomer and polymer species. The chemistry of aniline oxidation is likely to be affected especially by the protonation of an intermediate in the pernigraniline form. It is proposed that, in the course of aniline oxidation, pH‐dependent self‐assembly of aniline oligomers predetermines the final PANI morphology. Low porosity α- and β-SiAION composite material was prepared when the powder mixture intended for preparation of yttrium α-SiAlON, with the formula Y0.4Si12–m+n Alm+nOnN16–n, was attritor milled in isopropyl alcohol or contained excess oxygen (n > 0.6). The region of stability of single-phase yttrium α-SiAlON was smaller at lower temperatures. Wet milling (in isopropyl alcohol) of AIN powder was found to introduce excess oxygen into the milled powder.  相似文献
