This study examined the effects of inherent defects due to plate assembling and material mismatched condition between base and weld metal on the fatigue strength of beam-to-column connections. Low cycle fatigue tests were carried out on specimens with different plate assembling systems and material mismatched conditions. The test results revealed that the global load-displacement relationships from specimens with different plate assembling systems and material mismatched conditions are similar, meaning these effects involve only local behavior of specimens. However, the fatigue strength of the specimens strongly depends on the location of defects resulting from plate assembling and mismatched conditions. The specimen with the undermatched conditions and the existing defect located closer to the corner of beam-to-column connection tends to have lower fatigue strength. The fracture surfaces indicated that failure patterns of specimen are different regarding mismatched conditions. While the crack propagated through the weld metal for the undermatched condition, it propagated towards the boundary between base and weld metal for overmatched condition. Elasto-plastic shell analysis was performed under the same condition as the experiments. And it is found that when evaluating fatigue strength of beam-to-column connections, the effects of plate assembling system and material mismatched condition should be considered.  相似文献

In this study, amphiphilic brush-like copolymers conjugated with short alkyl or long polymeric chains of various lengths are synthesized using ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of substituted norbornadiene monomers followed by chemical transformations. These amphiphilic copolymers form spherical self-assemblies in aqueous media with diameters of 132-244 nm. The low critical aggregation concentration of these assemblies (2.5 × 10(-3) -1.4 × 10(-5) g/L) indicates that they are quite stable in dilute conditions. An appropriate length of polymer side chain that conjugates the polymer backbone with a hydrophobic ICG (indocyanine green) moiety enhanced the fluorescence intensities of these self-assemblies in aqueous solution as well as in tumor-bearing mice. A longer side chain conjugated with tumor targeting agents could significantly affect the tumor specificity of self-assemblies to a greater extent. The self-assemblies bearing hydrophilic tumor targeting agents, such as a glucosamine molecule and a cyclic RGD (arginine-glycine-asparatic acid) peptide, accumulated in tumor tissues with high selectivity, while those having a hydrophobic targeting agent, such as folate moieties, accumulated in tumor sites with low selectivity. The results demonstrated here unambiguously indicate that the fluorescence intensity and tumor specificity of self-assemblies are strongly affected by the length of side chains that conjugate with dyes and targeting agents.  相似文献

This study presents the results of chemical thermodynamic analysis on the distribution of elements in the smelting process of metallic materials to examine the controllability of impurities in the pyrometallurgical technique. The results of the present work can give an answer against the frequently given question; "Which impurity element can be removable in metallurgical process?" or "How far can the impurity level be controlled?". The proposed method was applied to estimate the distribution of 29 elements for a copper converter and 26 elements for a steel-making process and shows the distribution tendency of elements among the gas, slag, and metal phases as well as clarifying which metals can be recovered or removed from secondary resources in metallurgical processes. The effects of temperature, oxygen partial pressure, and slag composition on the distribution ratio of elements were also evaluated, and the removal limit or controllability of impurity in these two processes was presented. This study results in thermodynamic features of various elements in the pyrometallurgical process and also shows, even by varying process parameters such as temperature and oxygen partial pressure, no drastic improvement of removal efficiency should be expected, except for lead and tin in copper.  相似文献

The number of diabetes mellitus (DM) patients is increasing, and stroke is deeply associated with DM. Recently, neuroprotective effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) are reported. In this study, we explored whether liraglutide, a GLP-1 analogue exerts therapeutic effects on a rat stroke model. Wistar rats received occlusion of the middle cerebral artery for 90 min. At one hour after reperfusion, liraglutide or saline was administered intraperitoneally. Modified Bederson’s test was performed at 1 and 24 h and, subsequently, rats were euthanized for histological investigation. Peripheral blood was obtained for measurement of blood glucose level and evaluation of oxidative stress. Brain tissues were collected to evaluate the level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). The behavioral scores of liraglutide-treated rats were significantly better than those of control rats. Infarct volumes of liraglutide-treated rats at were reduced, compared with those of control rats. The level of derivatives of reactive oxygen metabolite was lower in liraglutide-treated rats. VEGF level of liraglutide-treated rats in the cortex, but not in the striatum significantly increased, compared to that of control rats. In conclusion, this is the first study to demonstrate neuroprotective effects of liraglutide on cerebral ischemia through anti-oxidative effects and VEGF upregulation.  相似文献

Abstract

Hexagonal YMnO3 thin films were prepared on Pt(111)/TiOx/SiO2/Si and Pt(111)/Al2O3(0001) substrates using alkoxy-derived precursor solutions. The films were prepared by spin coating the YMnO3 precursor solutions and then, the films were calcined and crystallized via rapid thermal annealing in oxygen or vacuum ambient. The annealing conditions and substrates were critical for crystallization of ferroelectric YMnO3 films. When annealed in vacuum, the films both on Pt(111)/TiOx/SiO2/Si and Pt(111)/Al2O3(0001) substrates crystallized to hexagonal YMnO3 and the orientation depended on the substrates. The film on Pt(111)/Al2O3(0001) had c-axis orientation and the film on Pt(111)/TiOx/SiO2/Si had no preferred orientation. In addition, it was found that crystallization behavior, orientation and morphology of YMnO3 films on Pt(111)/TiOx/SiO2/Si substrates depended on the annealing condition. The heat-treatment in vacuum at initial stage for crystallization affected the restraint of perovskite phase and formation of hexagonal phase. The following heat-treatment in oxygen promoted the c-axis orientation and grain growth. The optimum annealing procedure for crystallization of the c-axis oriented YMnO3 films on Pt(111)/TiOx/SiO2/Si was addressed.  相似文献

A high-capacity type of all solid-state battery was developed using sulfur electrode and the thio-LISICON electrolyte. New nano-composite of sulfur and acetylene black (AB) with an average particle size of 1–10 nm was fabricated by gas-phase mixing and showed a reversible capacity of 900 mAh g−1 at a current density of 0.013 mA cm−2.  相似文献

In this study, to improve these defects, it was proposed that a biodegradable resin as an adhesive and bamboo fibers as reinforced fibers were applied to the woodchip composite. By using woodchips with two kinds of the particle size, bamboo fibers with three kinds of the length and the biodegradable adhesive, several kinds of specimens changed mixing ratio of those materials were produced by compression molding at the appropriate temperature. By examining the bending strength and impact strength of the composites, it was found that the high bending strength was obtained in the case where woodchips with the small particle size and long bamboo fibers were used, and the high impact strength was obtained in the case where woodchips with the large particle size and long bamboo fibers were used.  相似文献

All solid-state sheet lithium battery was developed using inorganic solid electrolyte, thio-LISICON (Li3.25Ge0.25P0.75S4), Li–Al anode, and Mo6S8 cathode materials, and the sheet manufacturing process was established. The new sheet-configuration was consisted of the cathode with the grid of current collector, electrolyte sheet with or without mechanical support, and aluminum/lithium composite sheet anode. A sheet battery with a dimension of 30 mm × 30 mm showed good charge–discharge characteristics without any capacity fading at a current of 0.1 mA.  相似文献
