The authors have developed a software tool, MolSpace, to visualize massive molecular datasets. MolSpace can project a set of massive multivariate data onto a visual space (two- or three-dimensional space) by means of principal component analysis. MolSpace allows users not only to draw a scatter diagram of the data but also to display their two- or three-dimensional molecular structures as the objects in that space. With a probe (a molecular object) the user can navigate vast data spaces, thus facilitating understanding of the data structure. In addition, partial space searching is also available that is based on similarity searching techniques. It is possible to interrogate a three-dimensional structure of a chemical compound that corresponds to each object on the space in real time. The detail of the system is discussed with an illustrative example.  相似文献

In recent years, frequent damage to wind turbines by winter lightning has been reported in the region along the Sea of Japan. It is a serious finding that lightning hits concentrate on wind turbines in this region. The authors investigated the increase rate of the frequency of lightning hits on wind turbines due to wind turbine construction by using LLS (lightning location system) data. As a result, an experimental formula to estimate the increase rate of the frequency of lightning hits on wind turbines as a function of parameters related to the construction conditions, namely the height of wind turbines, the height above sea level, and the latitude, is proposed.  相似文献

When using multiple Kinects, there must be enough distances among neighboring Kinects to avoid spoiled range data caused by the interference of their infrared speckle patterns. In the arrangement, their overlapped regions are too small to apply existing calibration methods using correspondences between their observations straightforwardly. Therefore, we propose a method to calibrate Kinects without large overlapped regions. In our method, first, we add extra RGB cameras in an environment to compensate overlapped regions. Thanks to them, we can estimate their camera parameters by obtaining correspondences between color images. Next, for accurate calibration, which considers range data as well as color images of Kinects, we optimize the estimated parameters by minimizing both the errors of correspondences between color images and those of range data of planar regions, which exist in a general environment such as walls and floors. Although our method consists of conventional techniques, its combination is optimized to achieve the calibration. © 2015 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. 在螺杆压缩机作动室的压力脉动模拟分析中,针对采用的数值计算方法———Rouge_Kutta法可能由于计算舍入误差累积而造成计算发散,提出导入Simpson误差评价公式,建立了评价作动室排气过程中的计算误差的数学模型.同时针对排气行程中,由于作动室压力和排气室压力非常接近,造成计算误差增大的倾向,通过数学推证,得到对处于排气行程的作动室的压力脉动进行数值计算的稳定性判据,对模拟计算结果的收敛性提供保障.  相似文献

This paper proposes some basic methods of content search yielding high user utility or user's satisfaction from numerous information sources scattered over large‐scale networks. In these methods, the search policy is decided by the estimated user utility gain and/or current user utility for each search action, and the most favorable combination of information sources and search content items is selected so as to enlarge the total user utility of the entire search activity. In addition, we evaluate the efficiency of the methods by computer simulations, in which we specify the network topology, user utility functions, probabilities of existence of the search content items in each information source, and so on, apply the proposed methods and other methods for comparison, and compare their aggregate utility gains as an estimation index. The proposed methods are found to achieve good performance in general and an index value about 2.45 times that of ordinary search is observed in an extreme simulation scenario. We discuss the pros and cons of the proposed methods for all the simulation scenarios.  相似文献
