The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of geometrical and physical parameters on failure modes and failure loads in unidirectional polymeric matrix composites with two serial pin loaded holes, analytically and experimentally. It is assumed that all of unidirectional fibers in the laminate lie in one direction while loaded by a load p 0 at infinity, parallel to the direction of the fibers. To derive equilibrium equations based on a Shear-Lag theory, a rectangular arrangement of fibers is considered and with the proper use of boundary and boundness conditions, stress and displacement fields are computed within the laminate, along with the surrounding pinholes. Finally by using the Hashin criterion failure modes and failure loads are estimated. To validate analytical results based on shear-lag theory, an experimental program is carried out. A very good agreement is observed between two procedures. Based on results, in small sizes of two pins, the dominant failure mode is bearing and with the increasing of hole sizes, failure modes are changed to tension and shear modes. 相似文献

Behavior of normal strength concrete columns reinforced with a new reinforcement, termed Prefabricated Cage System (PCS) is
investigated. A total of 16 small-scale PCS and rebar reinforced column specimens were constructed and tested under monotonic
axial displacement. The experimental results indicate that the overall behavior of rebar and PCS reinforced specimens are
comparable prior to achieving the peak column load. In general, PCS specimens are more ductile and absorb more energy than
similar rebar specimens after the peak load is reached. The effect of different parameters, such as the steel tube thickness,
number of longitudinal reinforcements, transverse steel spacing, and crossties on the specimens’ strength and deformation
capacity are investigated. A confined concrete model is proposed and used to predict the load–displacement response. The theoretical
load–displacement relations obtained from the proposed model are compared with those obtained from the Mander et al. (J Struct

In this paper we propose an automatic methodology to verify the soundness of model checking reduction techniques. The idea is to use the consistency of the specifications to verify if the reduced model is faithful to the original one. The user provides the reduction technique, the specification and the system under verification. Then, using Higher Order Logic he verifies automatically if the reduction technique is soundly applied. The method is completely defined in an MDG–HOL special integration platform that combines an automatic high level model checking tool Multiway Decision Graphs (MDGs) within the HOL theorem prover. We provide two case studies, the first one is the reduction using SAT–MDG of an Island Tunnel Controller and the second one is the MDG–HOL assume-guarantee reduction of the Look-Aside Interface. The obtained results of our approach offer a considerable gain in terms of the correctness of heuristics and reduction techniques as applied to commercial model checking, however a small penalty is paid in terms of CPU time and memory usage. 相似文献

Antibodies play a crucial role in the immune response, in fighting off pathogens as well as helping create strong immunological memory. Antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) occurs when non-neutralising antibodies recognise and bind to a pathogen, but are unable to prevent infection, and is widely known and is reported as occurring in infection caused by several viruses. This narrative review explores the ADE phenomenon, its occurrence in viral infections and evaluates its role in infection by SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In this paper, a class of the direct methods for discretization of fractional order transfer functions is studied in the sense of stability preservation. The stability boundary curve is exactly determined for these discretization methods.
