We report here for the first time the use of magnetic polishing to improve the surface finish of titanium-nickel (TiNi) stents for better performance. We investigated the effects of polishing time and rotational speed on the average surface roughness, surface chemical contents, and push-out load of stents. The magnetically polished stents show a decrease of 2.3 to 17.9?pct in surface roughness and a lower push-out load for stent deployment from the catheter.  相似文献

Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies provide more freedom to functional part design in various industries. One of the unique capabilities of AM is that multi-material parts can be produced with material compositional and geometric complexity. Multi-material parts have the advantage of achieving multiple performance requirements. In the research, we propose a framework for designing multi-material parts using AM processes. The proposed framework is composed of four interacting modules, including design requirement identification, primary material selection, AM process selection, material composition, and part geometry determination. Rules and guidelines for AM are integrated into the proposed framework with AM processes’ capabilities and constraints compiled in databases. We also introduce databases to assist in decision-making and ensure manufacturability of the designed multi-material part in various product design phases. The proposed framework is applied to a case study involving a conceptual design of a multi-material battery pack cooling plate.  相似文献

To evaluate the microbiological safety of Korean traditional seasoned beef processed by sous-vide method, Clostridium perfringens spores were inoculated into the samples, and then germination and growth of spores were observed under different temperatures for days. Also, changes in pH, water activity, and salt contents were analyzed. As the results, there was no difference in water activity and pH of the samples during the storage at any temperature. However, salt contents of the samples significantly increased as storage time increased, and the storage temperature affected the change of salt contents. C. perfringens did not grow at 4 and 10°C for 24 days however, the bacterial growth was observed at 20°C after 2 days of storage. Based on these simulation tests, the microbiological safety of sous-vide processed galbijjim can be guaranteed at 4 and 10°C for 24 days even though the raw materials were contaminated by C. perfringens spores.  相似文献

Yeasts were isolated from over-ripened kimchi and identified. Isolates were identified as Pichia kudriavzevii, Kazachstania servazii, Kazachstania exigua, Kazachstania bulderi, and Rhodotorula mucilaginosa. Among the isolates, P. kudriavzevii GY1 and K. bulderi HY2 were separately inoculated into kimchi and incubated at 10°C for 21 days. After incubation, HY2 kimchi showed less offodors, whereas GY1 kimchi showed strong off- and moldyodors in the sensory evaluation. P. kudriavzevii GY1 showed significantly higher polygalacturonase activity than K. bulderi HY2. Volatile compounds in kimchi samples were analyzed by HSPM-GC. Peak areas of obnoxiousodor compounds, including methanethiol, were 6.61, 9.46, and 20.87% for control kimchi, HY2 kimchi, and GY1 kimchi, respectively. Therefore, P. kudriavzevii was mainly responsible for kimchi spoilage, including off-odors and texture softening. Moreover, K. bulderi was associated with kimchi deterioration at cell counts up to 8.0–9.0 log CFU/mL, even though its effects were not as strong as those of P. kudriavzevii.  相似文献

Well-defined La2Sn2O7 with a phase-pure pyrochlore structure was produced by hydrothermal synthesis at temperatures as low as 200°C. Production of phase-pure La2Sn2O7 requires a pH above 10, and higher pH accelerates the crystallization process. The synthesis produced spherical particles of average particle size ∼0.59 μm (±0.12) and surface area ∼14.1 m2/g. SEM and TEM observation for morphologic evolution and kinetic analysis during crystallization indicated that La2Sn2O7 formation probably proceeds via a two-step reaction. First a transient dissolution–precipitation occurs. Then the primary crystallites aggregate because of their colloidal instability, and heterocoagulation with the lanthanum hydrous oxide precursor particles also occurs. The sluggish reaction rate at the later stage of reaction is characterized by an in situ transformation, where the soluble tin species is diffused through the porous La2Sn2O7 aggregates to react with entrapped lanthanum precursors.  相似文献
