The present work deals with a novel manufacturing route that can be used to fabricate automobile sheet parts such as bonnet/bumper by metal alloy coating through two-wire-arc thermal spray (TWATS) process. Later the coating is supported with fiber through cladding process and becomes a freestanding composite coating. The coating has a metallic look and is free from oxidation. This novel manufacturing process is rapid and customized. A case study, where aluminum alloy wire was used to produce freestanding coating, was performed by response surface method optimization of the two-wire-arc spray process factors: the voltage, current, spray distance, gas pressure, and selection of mold/substrate material that was used to fabricate automobile bonnet. Initial experiments were performed on the four different substrates materials, viz., steel, aluminum, ceramic, and graphite; the graphite substrate showed some promising results and was selected to run the experimental array to optimize the process parameters. Spray distance more than 150 mm, voltage 30 V, current 250 A, and primary atomizing gas (nitrogen) pressure 100 psi (0.689 MPa) may be used. The freestanding aluminum coating was evaluated analyzing its performance, in terms of desirable microstructure and mechanical properties.  相似文献

Wireless networks have many advantages for emergency situations especially disaster cases. A disaster might happen because of various reasons such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes. In these emergency situations, wireless communication technologies are very important for the rescue of human life. Wireless technologies, especially body area networks, might monitor, collect, and send data about human in trouble to rescue unit. In this paper, Internet of things‐based wireless body area network is proposed for disaster cases. The proposed architecture guarantees lifesavings by using wireless technologies for location determination, vital signs transmission, and SOS calls. Also, a gateway selection algorithm based on fuzzy logic is developed for selecting more appropriate wireless technology.  相似文献

Synthesizing expressive facial animation is a very challenging topic within the graphics community. In this paper, we present an expressive facial animation synthesis system enabled by automated learning from facial motion capture data. Accurate 3D motions of the markers on the face of a human subject are captured while he/she recites a predesigned corpus, with specific spoken and visual expressions. We present a novel motion capture mining technique that "learns" speech coarticulation models for diphones and triphones from the recorded data. A phoneme-independent expression eigenspace (PIEES) that encloses the dynamic expression signals is constructed by motion signal processing (phoneme-based time-warping and subtraction) and principal component analysis (PCA) reduction. New expressive facial animations are synthesized as follows: First, the learned coarticulation models are concatenated to synthesize neutral visual speech according to novel speech input, then a texture-synthesis-based approach is used to generate a novel dynamic expression signal from the PIEES model, and finally the synthesized expression signal is blended with the synthesized neutral visual speech to create the final expressive facial animation. Recently,magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) have been extensively used in food industry and biomedical treatments.However,the biocompatibility mechanism on expression proteomics,before consideration of magnetic NPs for clinical application,has not yet been fully elucidated.Therefore,this study was undertaken to identify potential biomarkers of metal ion signaling proteins in human cervical cancer cell line (HeLa) cells.Here,we report the in vitro investigations of the cell cycle response and significant changes in protein abundance of HeLa cells when exposed to self-tailored hydrophilic Fe2C NPs.The comparative proteomic approach based on 18O labeling coupled with high performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization with ion trap mass analyzer (HPLC/ESI-Orbitrap) was applied,and 394 proteins were identified.There were 46 significantly differentiated proteins based on the specific metal ion signaling response.Among them,60S ribosomal protein L37a,serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 7,calmodulin,and calumenin were downregulated,whereas transketolase was overexpressed.Functional interaction network of Fe2C-regulated proteins was successfully created by the STRING algorithm to show the strong interactions between proteins.This work will not only help to understand the molecular mechanism of metal ion signaling proteins that can potentially be used to develop therapeutic protocols for diagnosis of diseases but also give direction for tailoring biocompatible magnetic NPs.  相似文献

Most image segmentation techniques efficiently segment images with prominent edges, but are less efficient for some images with low frequencies and overlapping regions of homogeneous intensities. A recently proposed selective segmentation model often works well, but not for such challenging images. In this paper, we introduce a new model using the coefficient of variation as a fidelity term, and our test results show it performs much better in these challenging cases.  相似文献
