This paper presents a method for obtaining preventive control strategies based on nonlinear optimization for power systems which will incur voltage instability when load demand increases. An algorithm is proposed to determine an appropriate and effective control action taking into account the operating constraints to widen the margin between the present operating point and a voltage collapse point, thereby improving the system state. The method proposed here is based on a complex-valued load-flow technique using the Newton-Raphson method which has been developed already by the authors. Consequently, the preventive control algorithm also can evaluate the voltage instability in the event the present operating point becomes closer to the critical point and the system state becomes unfeasible at increased loading point. Further, in optimization, two-types of objective functions are introduced so that voltage stabilization and dissolution of constraint violation can be attained simultaneously. In addition, this paper discusses the extension of the proposed preventive control to the successive control method which carries out the control action to avoid voltage collapse while the load demand is increasing. Numerical examples for various model systems demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

Monoclonal antibody 2D7 generated against a transition-state analog N-methyl mesoporphyrin catalyzes a reaction for insertion of a cupric ion into mesoporphyrin. To investigate amino acid residues responsible for the catalytic activity, site-directed mutagenesis of the amino acid residues in the third complementarity determining region of the heavy chain (CDRH3) was performed on the antigen-binding fragment (Fab) of the antibody. Recombinant Fab mutants, in which Arg95 is replaced with Ala (R95A), Asp96 with Asn (D96N) and Met97 with Gly (M97G), were examined in terms of the catalytic efficiency of the reaction (k/K(S)) and the dissociation constant for N-methyl mesoporphyrin binding (K(d)) and these values were compared with those of the wild type. The k/K(S) values of the R95A and D96N mutants were 0.96% and 1.0% of that of the wild type, respectively, whereas the M97G mutant had no detectable catalytic activity. The K(d) values of the R95A and D96N mutants were 165 and 69 times that of the wild type, respectively, while that of the M97G mutant was similar to that of the wild type. The relationship between the k/K(S) and 1/K(d) values in the wild type and the R95A and D96N mutants suggests that Arg95 and Asp96 are responsible for stabilizing the transition-state in the catalytic reaction. The results of the M97G mutant allow us to propose that Met97 plays an important role in the catalytic activity probably due to a subtle and specific conformation of the antibody.  相似文献

Phytochelatins (PCs) are heavy metal-binding peptides that play important roles in the detoxification of toxic heavy metals and the regulation of intracellular concentrations of essential metals in eukaryotes, including higher plants, fungi, and microalgae. Recently, PC synthase genes in higher plants and fission yeast have been identified and characterized, enabling molecular biological studies to unravel the mechanisms underlying PC synthesis. Moreover, recent routine database searches have unexpectedly identified genes that are similar to plant PC synthase genes in the genomes of worms and some prokaryotes. In this review, we introduce these recent advances in our understanding of the molecular mechanisms for PC biosynthesis and functions in order to supply basic information about the unique and attractive peptides applicable to various fields.  相似文献

We developed a robotic arm for a master-slave system to support "mutual telexistence", which realizes remote dexterous manipulation tasks and close physical communication with other people using gestures. In this paper, we describe the specifications of the experimental setup of the master-slave arm to demonstrate the feasibility of the mutual telexistence concept. We developed the master arm of a telexistence robot for interpersonal communication. The last degree of the 7-degree-of-freedom slave arm is resolved by placing a small orientation sensor on the operator's arm. This master arm is made light and impedance control is applied in order to grant the operator as much freedom of movement as possible. For this development stage, we compared three control methods and confirmed that the impedance control method is the most appropriate to this system.  相似文献

The formation mechanisms of InAs/Ni/W ohmic contacts to n-type GaAs prepared by radio-frequency (rf) sputtering were studied by measuring contact resistances (Rc) using a transmission line method and by analyzing the interfacial structure mainly by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Current-voltage characteristics of the InAs/Ni/W contacts after annealing at temperatures above 600°C showed “ohmic-like behavior.” In order to obtain the “ohmic” behavior in the contacts, pre-heating at 300°C prior to high temperature annealing was found to be essential. The contacts showed ohmic behavior after annealing at temperatures in the range of 500∼850°C and contact resistance values of as low as ∼0.3Ω-mm were obtained. By analyzing the interfacial structures of these contacts, InxGa1−xAs layers with low density of misfit dislocations at the InxGa1−xAs and GaAs interface were observed to grow epitaxially on the GaAs substrate upon heating at high temperatures. This intermediate InxGa1−xAs layer is believed to divide the high energy barrier at the contact metal and GaAs interface into two low barriers, resulting in reduction of the contact resistance. In addition, Ni was found to play a key role to relax a strain in the InxGa1−xAs layer (introduced due to lattice mismatch between the InxGa1−xAs and GaAs) by forming an intermediate NixGaAs layer on the GaAs surface prior to formation of the InxGa1−xxAs layer.  相似文献

Although hemin is known to exert toxic effects on a variety of cell types, its possible participation in the genesis of cerebral vasospasm has received little attention. The authors measured the concentration of hemin in experimental subarachnoid clot and studied its effects on the morphology and 45Ca++ uptake of vascular smooth-muscle cells dissociated from canine carotid artery. Craniectomies were performed in five dogs under general anesthesia, and 3 to 5 ml of autologous whole blood was deposited in the supraclinoid subarachnoid compartment. The concentration of hemin recovered by Folch extraction from clotted material removed 7 days after surgery was 390 +/- 247 microM (mean +/- standard error of the mean). Mean vascular smooth-muscle cell length after 40 minutes of exposure to 50 microM hemin was 37.3 +/- 1.2 microns (control 51.6 +/- 1.6 microns) (p < 0.01). The mean percent permeation of 45Ca++, measured by a dual label technique, of cells exposed to hemin was 200.9% +/- 23% (control 102.9% +/- 4.3%) (p < 0.01). These findings indicate that hemin accrues in subarachnoid hematoma, that it exerts a constrictive effect on vascular smooth-muscle cells, and that this effect is associated with an increased uptake of Ca++. This study demonstrates that hemin should be included in the list of potential agents that participate in the development of cerebral vasospasm.  相似文献

Fe3O4–BaTiO3 composite particles were successfully prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. A mixture of iron(III) nitrate, barium acetate and titanium tetrachloride aqueous solution were atomized into the mist, and the mist was dried and pyrolyzed in N2 (90%) and H2 (10%) atmosphere. Fe3O4–BaTiO3 composite particle was obtained between 900° and 950°C while the coexistence of FeO was detected at 1000°C. Transmission electron microscope observation revealed that the composite particle is consisted of nanocrystalline having primary particle size of 35 nm. Lattice parameter of the Fe3O4–BaTiO3 nanocomposite particle was 0.8404 nm that is larger than that of pure Fe3O4. Coercivity of the nanocomposite particle (390 Oe) was much larger than that of pure Fe3O4 (140 Oe). These results suggest that slight diffusion of Ba into Fe3O4 occurred.  相似文献
