Interaction of polymers and other organic admixtures on Portland cement hydration is reviewed. This has been compiled in a systematic way. First hydration of Portland cement is described in short. Later, interaction with 4 important components of Portland cement is discussed. Finally interphase effects in polymer modified hydraulic cement are discussed. It is concluded that polymers and organic admixtures interact with the components of Portland cement when they come in contact with water. This interaction is due to ionic binding, causing cross-links which inhibit the film formation property of polymers and influence considerably the crystallisation process during the hardening of concrete. Some low molecular weight organic substances also have a considerable influence on Portland cement during its reaction with water.  相似文献

Racemic heavy isotope analogs of 1-O-alkyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (lysoPAF) and 1-O-alkyl-2-O-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (PAF) were prepared for use as internal standards to facilitate quantitative studies based on mass spectrometry. Starting from pentadencane-1,15-diol andrac-glycerol-1,2-acetonide, a convergent synthesis of 1-O-[16′-2H3]hexadecyl and 1-O-[18′-2H3]octadecylrac-glycero-3-phosphocholine and their acetyl derivatives is described. Three deuterium atoms were introduced at the terminal position of the 1-O-alkyl group by displacement of thep-toluensulfonyl group from 1-O-alkyl-15′-p-toluensulfonate and 1-O-alkyl-17′-p-toluensulfonate with [2H3]-methylmagnesium iodide. The 1-O-alkyl-17′-p-toluensulfonate was obtained by reaction of the 1-O-alkyl-15′-p-toluensulfonate with allylmagnesium bromide, followed by reductive ozonolysis and treatment withp-toluenesulfonyl chloride. The hydroxyl group at C-2 was protected by a benzyl group and removed at a late stage in the synthesis. This provided the corresponding lysoderivatives or allowed preparation of racemic PAF by subsequent acetylation of the free hydroxy group. The phosphocholine moiety was introduced at glycerol C-3 by reaction with bromoethyldichlorophosphate and trimethylamine. The synthetic compounds were analyzed by FAB/MS and GC/NICIMS. They were shown to contain less than 0.6% protium impurity.  相似文献

The durability of the nano-Al2O3 enhanced glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) composites in hydrothermal environment is necessary for hydro/hygro thermal applications. The present investigation emphasizes the effect of nano-Al2O3 filler concentration on moisture absorption kinetics, residual mechanical and thermal properties of hydrothermally treated GFRP nano-composites. Nano-Al2O3 particles were mixed with epoxy matrix through temperature assisted magnetic stirrer and followed by ultrasonic treatment. It has been observed that, the addition of 0.1 wt% of nano-Al2O3 into the GFRP nano-composites reduces the moisture diffusion coefficient by 10%, as well as improves the flexural residual strength by 16% and interlaminar residual shear strength by 17% as compared to the neat epoxy GFRP composites. However, the glass transition temperature has not been improved by the addition of nano-Al2O3 filler. Weibull design parameters have been determined for dry and hydrothermally conditioned nano-composites. A good agreement between the experimental and the simulated stress–strain results has been observed. The interface failure mechanism has been evaluated by field emission scanning electron microscope to support the new findings.  相似文献

Ratios of n-heptane (hep) to toluene (tol) affect the solubility of the asphaltenes in heavy oil extraction processes. Consequently phase changes and time after mixing n-heptane and heavy oil in toluene are important for understanding produced emulsions. The kinetics of phase change when n-heptane is added to toluene-diluted heavy oils, and the thermodynamic properties of partially deasphalted heavy oils were studied. The methods used were monitoring precipitation in time using light microscopy, quantitative asphaltenes analysis by near infrared spectroscopy, refractive index and densities measurements, and calculated solubility parameters of mixtures. At critical mass ratios of hep/tol from 1.37 to 2.0 in diluted heavy oil the precipitated asphaltene particles were observed under the microscope after lag times from 2 h to instantly. Lag times were longer at low initial oil concentration. The floc growth time decreased as heavy oil concentration in toluene increased. The growth patterns in time appeared as dots to beads (strings) to clusters (fractal-like flocs). Final wt% precipitated asphaltenes vs. mass fraction (hep+tol)/heavy oil followed sigmoidal relationships. Curves showing wt% soluble asphaltenes vs. mass fraction hep/tol after 24 h initially followed the same shape as time zero curves and diverged at the onset ratios of hep/tol. Slope for precipitated asphaltenes vs. solubility parameters curve showed a break at 16.4 MPa1/2. Linear correlations were established for concentrations of soluble asphaltenes in residual oils and density, for refractive index and density and for refractive index and solubility parameter. The latter correlation was in accordance with Lorenz-Lorentz theory. These equations provided a means by which oil density, refractive index and solubility parameter can be predicted when these measurements are difficult to measure practically.  相似文献

In this paper, formulae to determine the lowest order and other higher order spurious frequencies that coincide with desired output signal frequencies of mixers have been derived. The proposed formulae give general expressions that are suitable for any order of heterodyne mixing. The formulae have been verified using a suitable example and compared with the simulation results obtained through the radio frequency simulation software of Advanced Design System. The formulae directly reveal the order of the troublesome spurious frequencies that the designers would encounter in heterodyne systems. In comparison with these direct formulae, the results of existing spurious analysis software are based on the maximum order of simulation carried out. Based on these simulations, the coinciding spurious components have to be manually sorted out. Proposed formulae are quick tools used by the microwave system and circuit designers for choosing and finalizing heterodyne frequencies in their designs without the need for any simulations.  相似文献

In this work, we report the preparation of phospho-silicate-glass (PSG) films using RF magnetron sputtering process and its application as a sacrificial layer in surface micromachining technology. For this purpose, a 76 mm diameter target of phosphorus-doped silicon dioxide was prepared by conventional solid-state reaction route using P2O5 and SiO2 powders. The PSG films were deposited in a RF (13.56 MHz) magnetron sputtering system at 200-300 W RF power, 10-20 mTorr pressure and 45 mm target-to-substrate spacing without external substrate heating. To confirm the presence of phosphorus in the deposited films, hot-probe test and sheet resistance measurements were performed on silicon wafers following deposition of PSG film and a drive-in step. As a final confirmatory test, a p-n diode was fabricated in a p-type Si wafer using the deposited film as a source of phosphorus diffusion. The phosphorus concentration in the target and the deposited film were analyzed using energy dispersive X-rays (EDAX) tool. The etch rate of the PSG film in buffered HF was measured to be about 30 times higher as compared to that of thermally grown SiO2 films. The application of RF sputtered PSG film as sacrificial layer in surface micromachining technology has been explored. To demonstrate the compatibility with MEMS process, micro-cantilevers and micro-bridges of silicon nitride were fabricated using RF sputtered PSG as a sacrificial layer in surface micromachining. It is envisaged that the lower deposition temperature in RF sputtering (<150 °C) compared to CVD process for PSG film preparation is advantageous, particularly for making MEMS on temperature sensitive substrates.  相似文献

In the present work, we report the preparation of PLZT thin films in pure perovskite phase by RF magnetron sputtering without external substrate heating and their integration with micro-cantilevers. The ‘lift-off’ process for patterning different layers of a micro-cantilever including PLZT, Pt/Ti and Au/Cr was employed. The basic requirement of lift-off process is that the deposition temperature should not exceed 200°C otherwise photoresist will burn out. Therefore, one of the aims of the present work was to prepare PLZT film at lower deposition temperatures, which can be subsequently annealed to form pure perovskite phase. This also strongly favours the incorporation of ‘lift-off’ process for patterning in the complete process flow. As no external substrate heating was required in the deposition of PLZT film, this objective has been successfully accomplished in the present work. The ‘lift-off’ process has been successfully adopted for patterning the composite layers of PLZT/Pt/Ti and Au/Cr using thick positive photo-resist (STR-1045). Different types of cantilever beams incorporating PLZT films have been successfully fabricated using ‘lift-off’ process and bulk micromachining technology. The proposed process can be advantageously applied for the fabrication of various MEMS devices.  相似文献

A multi‐stage temperature‐programmed fractionating crystallization process was carried out to examine the effects of the presence of stearic acid (SA), oleic acid (OA), and linoleic acid (LA) on the separation of elaidic acid (EA). The results showed that the efficiency of fractionating crystallization of EA depended largely on the crystallization temperature, initial concentration of EA and presence of SA. The content of SA plays very important role for the fractionating performance. It was a characteristic observation that only when SA <2%, substantial crystallization of EA (>50% in stepwise crystal fractions) were obtained regardless of the initial concentration of SA. In general, SA induced crystallization of EA in earlier stage but delayed further crystallization of EA in later stage; the crystallization of EA was independent from co‐existing OA and LA. After reduction of EA content in solution to certain extent (7–10%, at ?20°C), further reduction of EA content requires much lower crystallization temperatures (trans‐fatty acids (TFA) from partially hydrogenated soybean oil (PHSO) is of high commercial interest. One of the strategies is to selectively release TFAs as free fatty acids from PHSO enzymatically. However, all commercially available enzymes are far away from qualified to selectively release TFAs, where there are always substantial non‐trans FAs hydrolyzed simultaneously. Therefore, developing post‐processing technology is requisite in order to recover those non‐trans fatty acids. Thus, this model system was designed based on FA composition characteristic of PHSO, which aimed to acquire some basic data and experience that lack in available literatures, so as to serve designing efficient practical process for removing trans‐fatty acid moieties from PHSO. The results from this work may be of general value to achieve a better understanding of fractionating crystallization behaviors of different FAs, relationship with individual molecular feature and property, and their interference effects, which might contribute to the design of practically feasible protocol to remove TFAs from PHSO and recover non‐trans FAs at the same time.  相似文献
