Tracking and erosion behaviors of high temperature vulcanized (HTV)-silicone rubber (SIR) of 0.5 to 6.0 mm thicknesses were investigated in order to obtain the optimum thickness for enhancing tracking and erosion resistance under various leakage current levels. Under low leakage current, thinner samples showed a higher tracking and erosion resistance, while under medium and high leakage current, thicker samples showed better resistance to these behaviors. The optimum thickness to prolong the time to tracking and erosion failure appeared in the range of 1.0 to 3.0 mm thickness. The content of an initial low molecular weight (LMW) silicone fluid was shown to be closely related to the development of leakage current and high temperature thermal spots. The results indicate that the sample thickness is crucial to the ability of HTV-SIR to withstand a large number of high temperature thermal spots under condition of high level leakage current  相似文献

Pyrolysis is a promising technique for the recovery of useful gas, tar, and solid products from biomass waste. However, the low tar yields obtained from lignocellulosic biomass are a significant drawback. To enhance tar yields, sugarcane bagasse, which is the most abundant agricultural waste in Fiji, was pretreated at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure using various sulfuric acid (H2SO4) concentrations. Here, the ether bonds of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin were partially hydrolyzed. The pretreated samples were then pyrolyzed at 500 °C, and it was confirmed that H2SO4-pretreatment disrupted the bagasse cell structure, with the thermogravimetry and differential thermogravimetry results confirming that decomposition occurred at lower temperatures after pretreatment. In addition, tar yields were significantly enhanced from 5.6 wt% to 13.4 wt% for the untreated and 3 M H2SO4-pretreated samples respectively. The main components detected in this tar product were levoglucosan, andcellulose-and hemicellulose-derived products, whose proportions were increased following pretreatment. Thus, our work demonstrates that dilute acid pretreatment enhances tar production from sugarcane bagasse due to the production of shorter chain components via the partial hydrolysis of ether bonds.  相似文献

The proposed research describes the synthesis and characterization of platinum nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Pt-NP-AC) and its efficient application as novel adsorbent for efficient removal of reactive orange 12 (RO-12). The influences of effective parameters following the optimization of variables on removal percentages, their value was set as 0.015 g Pt-NP-AC, pH 1, contact time of 13 min. At optimum values of all variables at 25 and 50 mgL−1 of RO-12 enthalpy (ΔH0) and entropy (ΔS0) changes was found to be 59.89 and 225.076, respectively, which negative value of ΔG0 shows a spontaneous nature, and the positive values of ΔH0 and ΔS0 indicate the endothermic nature and adsorption organized of dye molecule on the adsorbent surface. Experimental data was fitted to different kinetic models including first-order, pseudo-second-order, Elovich and intra-particle diffusion models, and it was seen that the adsorption process follows pseudo-second-order model in consideration to intra-particle diffusion mechanism. At optimum values of all variables, the adsorption process follows the second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm model with adsorption capacity 285.143 mg g−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

The surface modification of semiconductors by laser-induced surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) etching was investigated. With the novel etching method using a holographic exposure system, submicron periodic dot structures were fabricated directly on semiconductor substrates (n-InP, n-GaAs, and InGaAs-InP). Making use of laser polarization dependence in this etching system, a variety of surface modifications could be achieved on the semiconductors. In particular, in the case of using the s-polarization light, periodic submicron dot structures with a geometrical diameter down to 80 nm could be obtained directly using a single-step process without a mask. The InGaAs-InP dot structures were studied optically by means of photoluminescence spectroscopy, and the blue shift of the photoluminescence energy up to 5.36 meV was observed for the smallest dots, which displayed a lateral quantization  相似文献

Historically most residential wood preservatives were aqueous soluble metal formulations, but recently metals ground to submicron size and dispersed in water to give particulate formulations have gained importance. In this study, the specific role nano-zinc oxide (ZnO) particle size and leach resistance plays in termite mortality resulting from exposure to particulate ZnO-treated wood was investigated. Southern yellow pine (SYP) sapwood impregnated with three concentrations of two particle sizes (30 and 70 nm) of ZnO were compared to wood treated with soluble zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) preservative for leach resistance and termite resistance. Less than four percent leached from the particulate nano-ZnO-treated specimens, while 13 to 25% of the zinc sulphate leached from the soluble treated wood. Nano-ZnO was essentially non-leachable from wood treated with 5% formulation for the 30-nm particle size. In a no-choice laboratory test, eastern subterranean termites (Reticulitermes flavipes) consumed less than 10% of the leached nano-ZnO-treated wood with 93 to 100% mortality in all treatment concentrations. In contrast, termites consumed 10 to 12% of the leached ZnSO4-treated wood, but with lower mortality: 29% in the 1% treatment group and less than 10% (5 and 8%, respectively) in the group of wood blocks treated with 2.5 and 5.0% ZnSO4. We conclude that termites were repelled from consuming wood treated with nano-ZnO, but when consumed it was more toxic to eastern subterranean termites than wood treated with the soluble metal oxide formulation. There were no differences in leaching or termite mortality between the two particle sizes of nano-ZnO.  相似文献

Phytate-removed and deamidated soybean β-conglycinin (PrDS) prepared by ion-exchange resins was supplemented to be 4% in the diet administered to ovariectomized rats to investigate its preventive effect on osteoporosis. The apparent calcium absorption rate decreased following ovariectomy and was not replenished by oral administration of phytate-removed soybean β-conglycinin (PrS) or casein. On the other hand, administration of PrDS restored the calcium absorption rate to the same level as the sham group. Markers of bone resorption, such as serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) and urinary deoxypyridinoline (DPD), increased, and the bone mineral density and breaking stress decreased following ovariectomy. However, PrDS supplementation suppressed the changes caused by the decrease in calcium absorption from the small intestine. Therefore, PrDS supplementation shows promise for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.  相似文献

Preparation of anodes for oxygen evolution in seawater electrolysis was carried out. Manganese-molybdenum double oxides, Mn1−xMoxO2+x, prepared by anodic deposition from MnSO4-Na2MoO4 solutions showed the 100% oxygen evolution efficiency at a current density of 1000 A m−2 in 0.5 M NaCl at 30 °C and pH 12, but an increase in solution temperature resulted in dissolution of the oxides as molybdate and permanganate ions. In order to increase the stability of the electrodes at higher temperatures the addition of iron to the manganese-molybdenum oxides was performed by anodic deposition in MnSO4-Na2MoO4-FeNH4(SO4)2 solutions. The electrodes thus prepared showed the 100% oxygen evolution efficiency at 1000 A m−2 in 0.5 M NaCl at 30-90 °C, when proper amounts of molybdenum and iron were contained. The iron addition also enhanced the oxygen evolution efficiency. The electrodes were not composed of oxide mixtures but triple oxides, Mn1−xyMoxFeyO2+x−0.5y, consisting of Mn4+, Mo6+ and Fe3+. The formation of the triple oxides seemed responsible for enhancement of both oxygen evolution efficiency and stability.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to estimate the effect of dietary high oleic acid oil (OA) on 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK)-induced lung tumorigenesis in mice. Diet containing 10% oil was fed to mice through experimental periods. On day 30 after NNK injection (100 mg/kg body weight, i.p.), the treatment increased the level of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) as well as proliferating cell nuclear antigen, a marker of cell proliferation in a high linoleic acid oil (LA)-fed group but not in an OA-fed group. The NNK treatment also induced the activation of an extracellular signal-regulated kinase (Erk) cascade (Erk, Mek and Raf-1) in an LA-fed group. On the other hand, OA feeding abolished the NNK-induced activation of the Erk cascade. In conjugation with these events, OA feeding reduced lung tumor incidence and tumor multiplicity (percentage of mice with tumors) in mice compared with LA feeding at the 20th experimental week. These results suggest that OA suppresses lung tumorigenesis and that this suppression is correlated with the inhibition of PGE2 production and inactivation of the Erk cascade.  相似文献

The behavior of sulfur transformation during rapid hydropyrolysis of coal was investigated using a pressurized, continuous free fall pyrolyzer under the conditions of temperature ranging from 923 to 1123 K and hydrogen pressure up to 5 MPa. The yields of sulfur converted to gas, tar and char were determined, together with the analyses of sulfur form distributions in coals and chars. The results showed that the decomposition of inorganic sulfur species was affected only by the temperature, while the increases in temperature and hydrogen pressure obviously enhanced the removal of organic sulfur from coal. The extent of organic sulfur removal was proportional to the coal conversion, depending on coal type. A significant retention of gaseous sulfur products by the organic matrix of the char was observed during hydropyrolysis of a Chinese coal above 1023 K, even under the pressurized hydrogen atmosphere. The kinetic analysis indicates that the rate of organic sulfur removal from coal was 0.2th-order with respect to the hydrogen pressure, and the activation energy for total sulfur removal and organic sulfur removal is 17-26 and 13-55 kJ/mol, respectively. The low activation energies suggest that the transformation and removal of sulfur from coal might be controlled by the diffusion and/or thermodynamic equilibrium during hydropyrolysis under the pressurized conditions.  相似文献
