The effect of annealing on tan δ and microstructures of aluminum nitride (AlN) ceramics were explored. Yttria was added as a sintering additive to AlN powders, and the powders were pressureless-sintered at 1900°C for 2 h in a nitrogen flow atmosphere. In succession to sintering, AlN samples were annealed at 720, 970 and 1210°C for 2 and 4 h. Very low tan δ values between 2.6 and 6.0 × 10−4 at 28 GHz were obtained when the AlN samples were annealed for 4 h at all the annealing temperatures. 相似文献

The interface area between the bubble and emulsion phases in a fluidized catalyst bed is one of the important parameters used to analyze and design the fluidized bed reactor. We used a fast‐scanning X‐ray CT system to observe the bubble shape and structure. We then obtained the transient 2‐dimensional cross sectional gas‐phase distribution in a fluidized catalyst bed. Using image‐processing techniques, pseudo 3‐dimensional images of the bubbles were reconstructed. The bubble structure was studied based on the 3‐dimensional images and the previously obtained results in a 2‐dimensional fluidized bed. It was found that the bubble shape was not spherical but complicated, and that the bubbles ascending in a fluidized catalyst bed consisted of some smaller bubbles. 相似文献

A novel fabrication route to make macroporous silicon carbide (SiC) has been proposed in this study. The route is composed of the following two steps: the fabrication of porous α‐SiC/novolac‐type phenolic composite using hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) as a curing/blowing agent for the novolac monomer and a conventional reaction‐bonded (RB) sintering of the composite. The α‐SiC/novolac‐type phenolic composite was carbonized at 800°C for 2 h in N2 gas and then reacted with the molten silicon at 1450°C for 30 min under vacuum, resulting in the macroporous RB‐SiC with an open porosity of 48% and relatively large pore size of ~110 μm. The compressive strength of the macroporous RB‐SiC was 113 MPa, which is relatively high compared to those reported for macroporous SiC of equivalent porosities and pore sizes. 相似文献

Influence of the introduction of flexible alkyl chains on the thermal behavior and mechanical properties of mesogenic epoxy thermosets 下载免费PDF全文
A mesogenic epoxy resin (DGETAM) was cured with a series of curing agents having different lengths of long alkyl chain (nBAB, n = 4, 8, 12). Properties of the curings were compared with those of the DGEBA cured with the same curing agents revealing the achievement of a balance between certain levels of thermal properties and excellent mechanical properties. Moreover, some curing systems were prepared with twin mesogenic type epoxy resins (DGEnMA, n = 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) having different lengths of alkyl chain as a flexible spacer and the same curing agents (n′BABs). Combinations of the same concentrations of chemical structures in the basic units of the network structure were applied, and the thermal and mechanical properties of their curing systems were investigated. The fracture energy of each system increased considerably with the increase of the alkyl chain length that adjoins the two mesogenic groups in the epoxy resins. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. A new apparatus has been constructed in which ultrasonic velocity and attenuation coefficients can be measured under oscillatory deformation. Using this apparatus, dynamic ultrasonic parameters were obtained with sufficient accuracy to investigate plastic deformation directly. The in situ formation of magnetoplumbite-type (M-type) hexaferrites within a 3Y-TZP matrix was examined for the La2 O3 –ZnO–Fe2 O3 and BaO–Fe2 O3 systems. The formation of barium hexaferrite (Ba-M) was rapid enough at a temperature of 1300°C for 2 h to result in a uniform dispersion of fine Ba-M particles in a tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (TZP) matrix. However, the formation of lanthanum-substituted hexaferrite (La-M) was rather sluggish, despite the existence of a charge-compensating divalent oxide. The 3Y-TZP/20-wt%-BaFe12 O19 in situ composite possessed good magnetic properties, as well as moderately good mechanical properties. 相似文献

A thin film (60 μm thick) of a gadolinium-doped ceria (GDC) electrolyte was prepared by the doctor blade method. This film was laminated with freeze-dried 42 vol% NiO–58 vol% GDC mixed powder and pressed uniaxially or isostatically under a pressure of 294 MPa. This laminate was cosintered at 1100 °–1500 °C in air for 4–12 h. The laminate warped because of the difference in the shrinkage of the electrolyte and electrode during the sintering. A higher shrinkage was measured for the electrode at 1100 °–1200 °C and for the electrolyte at 1300 °–1500 °C. The increase of the thickness of anode was effective in decreasing the warp and in increasing the density of the laminated composite. The maximum electric power density with a SrRuO3 cathode using 3 vol% H2 O-containing H2 fuel was 100 mW/cm2 at 600 °C and 380 mW/cm2 at 800 °C, respectively, for the anode-supported GDC electrolyte with 30 μm thickness. 相似文献

With the purpose of applying diamond-like carbon (DLC) thin films as a biocompatible material, we experimented with introducing functional groups such as amino and carboxyl groups to the surface of DLC thin films by plasma surface treatment. From the results, it was found that the contact angle values of the DLC thin films surface were decreased with increasing in the OCO bonded network on the surface. Measurement of the zeta potential when the amounts of the functional groups were varied showed that this successfully varied the zeta potential over the wide range of − 48 mV to + 12 mV. It was found that when carboxyl groups are introduced by O2 plasma modification of the DLC thin films surface, the zeta potential was lower than that of untreated DLC thin films sample. It was also found that amino groups can be introduced to the DLC thin films surface by NH3 plasma treatment, the zeta potential was higher than that of untreated DLC thin films sample. This means that zeta potential of the DLC thin films can also be controlled by controlling these two functional groups. Bridging stresses that result both from elastic tractions and frictional interlocking in the wake of an advancing crack have been evaluated quantitatively via in situ Raman microprobe spectroscopy in a toughened Si3 N4 polycrystal. Crack opening displacement (COD) profiles of bridged cracks also have been measured quantitatively via scanning electron microscopy to substantiate the piezospectroscopic determination of microscopic stresses via Raman spectroscopy. The highest spatial resolution of the stress measurement in the Raman apparatus was 1 µm, as dictated by the optical lens that was used to focus the laser on the sample. Measurements of the bridging stresses were performed both at fixed sites (as a function of the applied load) and along the profile behind the crack tip (under a constant load). Rather high stress values (i.e., 0.4-1.1 GPa) were measured that corresponded with unbroken ligaments that bridged the crack faces in elastic fashion, whereas frictional sites were typically under a lower tensile stress (0.1-0.5 GPa). Mapping the near-tip COD profile and the bridging stresses at the (normal) critical load for catastrophic fracture enabled us to calculate the crack-tip toughness and to explain the rising R -curve behavior of the material. From a comparison with conventional fracture-mechanics data, a self-consistent view of the mechanics that govern the toughening behavior of the Si3 N4 polycrystal could be obtained. In particular, crack bridging is proven to be, by far, the most important mechanism that contributes to the toughening of polycrystalline Si3 N4 materials. 相似文献

Cachexia is a multifactorial syndrome characterized by muscle loss that cannot be reversed by conventional nutritional support. To uncover the molecular basis underlying the onset of cancer cachectic muscle wasting and establish an effective intervention against muscle loss, we used a cancer cachectic mouse model and examined the effects of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise successfully suppressed muscle atrophy and activated adiponectin signaling. Next, a cellular model for cancer cachectic muscle atrophy using C2C12 myotubes was prepared by treating myotubes with a conditioned medium from a culture of colon-26 cancer cells. Treatment of the atrophic myotubes with recombinant adiponectin was protective against the thinning of cells through the increased production of p-mTOR and suppression of LC3-II. Altogether, these findings suggest that the activation of adiponectin signaling could be part of the molecular mechanisms by which aerobic exercise ameliorates cancer cachexia-induced muscle wasting. 相似文献
