A method for reducing the energy consumption during freeze drying has been proposed. Water activity variation with time has been explored for button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus L.). The effect of primary and secondary drying temperatures on water activity was found significant (p < 0.05) as compared to sample thickness and pressure. The economics of the process showed that an energy reduction up to 34.9% could be achieved if the final water activity was constrained at 0.6. Artificial neural network tool has been used to develop a model for predicting the water activity precisely for a given combination of time, initial moisture content, vacuum pressure, sample thickness, and primary and secondary drying temperatures. The model-predicted values were found to be in good agreement (R = 0.97) with the experimental data. The model developed is expected to extend its aid in energy reduction for freeze drying of other food products. 相似文献

The present investigation was aimed to formulate self-nanoemulsifying granules (SNEGs) of poorly water soluble drug, Olmesartan Medoxomil (OLM) to improve its solubility and oral bioavailability. Acconon sorb 20, Tween 80, and Carbitol were selected as oil, surfactant and cosurfactant, respectively for the development of liquid self-nanoemulsifying system (L-SNEDDS), which subsequently adsorbed on a carrier (Aerosil 200) to develop SNEGs. The results of in vitro and in vivo study of OLM-SNEGs revealed remarkable improvement compared to pure OLM. This review of the current literature provides those in nursing staff development and inservice education with an overview of advance directives and their implications for nursing education and practice. Possible core subjects for inclusion in planned, purposeful, advance directive education programs are examined, including cultural sensitivity, facilitator skills, interviewing techniques, legal information, patient autonomy, and reasoning and decision making. in the temperature range from 26°C to 150°C. D.C. conductivity increases with the increase of distance in the direction of
centrifugal force, which shows the formation of graded structure with the composites. D.C. conductivity increases on increase
of milled carbon fibre content from 0·45 to 1·66 vol.%. At 50°C, d.c. conductivity values were 1·85 × 10−11, 1·08 × 10−11 and 2·16 × 10−12 for samples 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The activation energy values for different composite samples 1, 2 and 3 are 0·489,

Tyre pyrolysis oil (TPO) blend with diesel can be used as an alternate fuel. Tests have been carried out to analyse the energy and exergy characteristics of diesel engine fuelled by B10, B20 and B30 blend of TPO with diesel fuel. TPO was derived from waste automobile tyres through vacuum pyrolysis process (batch type). In this paper, the brake thermal efficiencies of TPO of different blends (10%, 20% and 30%) are compared with the pure diesel and discussed. In the present paper, the melting heat transfer of a nanofluid over a stretching sheet is investigated. Magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow with thermal radiation and slip effects is considered for this study. The governing model of the flow is solved by Runge–Kutta fourth-order method using appropriate similarity transformations. Temperature and velocity fields are presented for various flow pertinent parameters. Nondimensional physical parameters such as Prandtl number, radiation parameter, Brownian motion parameter, Lewis number, thermophoresis parameter, magnetic parameter, and melting parameter on fluid velocity, heat, concentration, skin friction, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number are presented graphically and discussed numerically. Heat transfer rate can be increased by increasing slip, melting, or radiation parameter. Mass transfer increases for greater values of melting parameter or slip parameter while radiation parameter shows the opposite impact on mass transfer. 相似文献
