Optical recording demands a meticulous write strategy to control the laser beam power and regulate the phase change layer temperature tightly. The width, height, and delay of a string of short pulses applied to the laser diode need to be adjusted in fine steps, and the writing speed varies widely per applications. A multi-phase phase-locked loop (PLL) tracks a wide range of clock frequencies, and provides a low-jitter time base for write pulses. With two enabling circuit concepts, PLL loop filter voltage folding/unfolding and switch-in of parallel MOS resistors in delay cells, it is possible to operate a PLL to cover a frequency range spanning over three octaves with one VCO. A 10-stage differential VCO is phase-locked to the input channel clock ranging from 26 to 420 MHz (1/spl times/-16/spl times/ DVD speed), and its 20-phase outputs are used to generate write pulses. The pulsewidth and delay are programmed with 120 /spl plusmn/ 40 ps time resolution. The prototype chip fabricated in 0.35 /spl mu/m CMOS occupies 3.5/spl times/3.3 mm/sup 2/, and consumes 294 mW at 3.3 V.  相似文献

We perform first principles total energy calculations to study the energetics, and the atomic structure of the adsorption of germane (GeH4) molecules on the Ge(001)-c(2 × 4) surface. The adsorption of a GeH4 unit occurs after its dissociation into a germanium trihydride (GeH3) and a hydrogen atom and a subsequent decomposition into a germanium dihydride (GeH2) subunit and H atoms. Consequently, we first consider the adsorption of GeH2 in two different configurations; the on-dimer and the intra-row geometries. Similar to the adsorption of SiH2 and GeH2 on Si(001), it is found that the on-dimer site is more stable than the intra-row geometry by 0.13 eV. However, in the adsorption of a GeH2 fragment together with two H atoms we find that the intra-row geometry is energetically more favorable, again, similar to the adsorption of SiH2 and GeH2 (plus two H atoms) on the Si(001) surface.  相似文献

Currently, the development of leading‐edge technology for recording and loading human motion on the basis of haptic information is required in the fields of manufacturing and human support. Human movement is an assembly of motion components. Since human movements should be supported by a robot in real time, it is necessary to integrate the motion components that were saved earlier. Once such motion integration is realized, future technology for use in daily human life can be developed. This paper proposes the integrated reproduction of the decomposed components of human motion by using a motion copying system. This system is the key technology for the realization of the acquisition, saving, and reproduction of real‐world haptic information. By using the proposed method, it is possible not only to achieve expert skill acquisition, skill transfer to robots, and power assist for each motion component, but also to open up new areas of applications. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 微波场中加热高钛高炉渣的数值模拟   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
利用微波加热技术在高钛高炉渣内引发裂纹的实验过程中发现炉渣局部区域发生热失控现象.为探寻高钛高炉渣在微波场中产生热失控的原因,使用 FEMAP 和 wave-jω 软件计算了在多模式微波炉中高钛高炉渣及其周围空间内微波场和热三维分布情况,并对比研究了钙钛矿相和普通高炉渣吸收微波的能力.通过计算结果可知几乎所有的微波能都集中在被加热的高钛高炉渣试样中,即微波具有加热高钛渣自身而非周围环境的特点.另外,高钛高炉渣试样中微波场分布不均匀,且分散在炉渣中的钙钛矿相比其他矿物相更易被微波加热.以上 2 因素作用下微波加热高钛高炉渣时局部区域发生热失控现象.  相似文献

Theoretical exploration has been conducted to formulate the receptor function and response of a semiconductor gas sensor using thin plate-like crystals. The receptor function can be formulated over a wide range of depletion from conventional one (regional depletion) to new type one (volume depletion) by focusing attention on how the surface density of adsorbed oxygen ions (O) is related with chemical moiety outside the crystals and physical moiety inside. The responses to gases thus derived are inversely proportional to the thickness of the plates used in the range of volume depletion. Electron-traps, if dispersed on the crystals, are shown to exert drastic effects in promoting sensitivity to gases.  相似文献

A general topology optimization method, which is capable of simultaneous design of density and orientation of anisotropic material, is proposed by introducing orientation design variables in addition to the density design variable. In this work, the Cartesian components of the orientation vector are utilized as the orientation design variables. The proposed method supports continuous orientation design, which is out of the scope of discrete material optimization approaches, as well as design using discrete angle sets. The advantage of this approach is that vector element representation is less likely to fail into local optima because it depends less on designs of former steps, especially compared with using the angle as a design variable (Continuous Fiber Angle Optimization) by providing a flexible path from one angle to another with relaxation of orientation design space. An additional advantage is that it is compatible with various projection or filtering methods such as sensitivity filters and density filters because it is free from unphysical bound or discontinuity such as the one at θ = 2π and θ = 0 seen with direct angle representation. One complication of Cartesian component representation is the point‐wise quadratic bound of the design variables; that is, each pair of element values has to reside in a given circular bound. To overcome this issue, we propose an isoparametric projection method, which transforms box bounds into circular bounds by a coordinate transformation with isoparametric shape functions without having the singular point that is seen at the origin with polar coordinate representation. A new topology optimization method is built by taking advantage of the aforementioned features and modern topology optimization techniques. When using multiple Kinects, there must be enough distances among neighboring Kinects to avoid spoiled range data caused by the interference of their infrared speckle patterns. In the arrangement, their overlapped regions are too small to apply existing calibration methods using correspondences between their observations straightforwardly. Therefore, we propose a method to calibrate Kinects without large overlapped regions. In our method, first, we add extra RGB cameras in an environment to compensate overlapped regions. Thanks to them, we can estimate their camera parameters by obtaining correspondences between color images. Next, for accurate calibration, which considers range data as well as color images of Kinects, we optimize the estimated parameters by minimizing both the errors of correspondences between color images and those of range data of planar regions, which exist in a general environment such as walls and floors. Although our method consists of conventional techniques, its combination is optimized to achieve the calibration. © 2015 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Recently, the use of a ferromagnetic material in a soft‐heating method has garnered much attention as a novel method for cancer treatment. By concurrently using this material as a thermal probe, we are currently developing a minimally invasive heating and wireless temperature measurement system. To make the approach feasible in a clinical setting, it is vital to overcome the key challenge of heating the local tumor at a constant temperature. In previous conventional approaches, it was necessary to switch the induction‐heating power supply on/off after the target tumor temperature was reached. However, it cannot determine the temperature of the material during the power‐off period. Therefore, we changed this approach and found that by adjusting the distance between the heating coil and the material while maintaining a constant current flow in heating coil, the drift problem, which happened just after power is supplied during the on/off operation, did not occur any longer. Accordingly, it was not required to use multiple sensors to reduce the drift, thereby minimizing the cost. This study verifies the validity of our wireless thermometry approach while performing rotary scanning and proposes a technique for determining achievement of the target temperature. Aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) is involved in the development and progression of various types of cancers. In this study, we investigated the role of miR-331-3p in cell proliferation and the expression of keratinocyte differentiation markers of uterine cervical cancer cells. Moreover, we evaluated whether neuropilin 2 (NRP2) are putative target molecules that regulate the human papillomavirus (HPV) related oncoproteins E6 and E7. Cell proliferation in the human cervical cancer cell lines SKG-II, HCS-2, and HeLa was assessed using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS) assay. Cellular apoptosis was measured using the TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) and Annexin V assays. Quantitative RT-PCR was used to measure the messenger RNA (mRNA) expression of the NRP2, E6, E7, p63, and involucrin (IVL) genes. A functional assay for cell growth was performed using cell cycle analyses. Overexpression of miR-331-3p inhibited cell proliferation, and induced G2/M phase arrest and apoptosis in SKG-II, HCS-2 and HeLa cells. The luciferase reporter assay of the NRP2 3′-untranslated region revealed the direct regulation of NRP2 by miR-331-3p. Gene expression analyses using quantitative RT-PCR in SKG-II, HCS-2, and HeLa cells overexpressing miR-331-3p or suppressing NRP2 revealed down-regulation of E6, E7, and p63 mRNA and up-regulation of IVL mRNA. Moreover, miR-331-3p overexpression was suppressed NRP2 expression in protein level. We showed that miR-331-3p and NRP2 were key effectors of cell proliferation by regulating the cell cycle, apoptosis. NRP-2 also regulates the expression of E6/E7 and keratinocyte differentiation markers. Our findings suggest that miR-331-3p has an important role in regulating cervical cancer cell proliferation, and that miR-331-3p may contribute to keratinocyte differentiation through NRP2 suppression. miR-331-3p and NRP2 may contribute to anti-cancer effects.  相似文献

The chain stiffness and local chain conformation of atactic poly(α-methylene-γ-butyrolactone) (PMBL), which is a side chain cyclic structural analog of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), with a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) ranging from 2.8 × 103 to 2.6 × 106 in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and γ-butyrolactone (GBL) were characterized by size exclusion chromatography with a multi-angle light-scattering detector (SEC-MALS) and synchrotron radiation small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). Based on the Kratky-Porod worm-like chain model, the scattering functions and the Mw dependence of z-average root-mean-square radius of gyration <S2>z1/2 yielded the Kuhn segment lengths λ−1, the diameter of the PMBL chains d, and the excluded-volume strengths in DMF and GBL. The local conformation of atactic PMBL in DMF and GBL were slightly larger than those of atactic PMMA, due to the presence of the conformationally rigid lactone ring structure.  相似文献
