In this study, ananatomical and histological study was conducted on the alimentary canal of Tanymecusdilaticollis (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), which is an economic polyphagous pest species, to study the relationship between the structure of the alimentary canal and the feeding habit. Therefore, the structure of the alimentary canal of T. dilaticollis was examined using light and electron microscopies. Results have shown that the alimentary canal in T. dilaticollis is consisted of three separate regions as foregut, midgut, and hindgut structurally between the mouth and the anus, which pass from head, thorax, and abdomen. The foregut consists of pharynx, esophagus, crop and proventriculus and in the crop part, expansion is seen compared to other foregut parts. Midgut of T. dilaticollis is the largest part of digestion system. The anterior region of midgut is twofolds wider than the posterior region. The posterior midgut extends tubularly and it is connected to eightgastric caeca. The hindgut of T. dilaticollis consists of fourparts as pylorus, ileum, colon, and rectum. Well‐developed muscle layers are found near the rectum and genital chamber. These results contribute to further studies on the ecology and biological control agents of Coleoptera and to provide a broad comparison of alimentary canal of Coleoptera species. 相似文献

ABSTRACTChitosan and poly(lactide-co-glycolide) acid (PLGA) microspheres loaded with alendronate sodium (AS) were prepared for orthopedic as well as dental applications. In orthopedics the aim was to make the total joint prostheses stay in the body for a long time without causing bone tissue loss, while in dentistry it was aimed to treat the alveolar bone resorption caused by periodontitis and also to make the dental treatment using implants easier by reducing the bone loss in patients with osteoporosis. Solvent evaporation method was used to prepare AS loaded PLGA microspheres and emulsion polimerization method was used to prepare AS loaded chitosan microspheres. Particle size, loading efficacy, surface characteristics, and in vitro release characteristics were examined on prepared formulations. After the examination of the scanning electron microscopy photographs of microspheres, chitosan microspheres were observed to have spherical structure and smooth surface characteristics while PLGA microspheres were observed to have spherical porous surface structure. Loading efficacy was found to be 3.30% for chitosan microspheres and 7.70% for PLGA microspheres. It was observed that 85% of AS had been released at the end of the third day from chitosan microspheres whereas 58% was released at the end of the fifth day from PLGA microspheres. A catalytic deSoot–deNOx system, comprising Pt and Ce fuel additives, a Pt-impregnated wall-flow monolith soot filter and a vanadia-type monolithic NH3-SCR catalyst, was tested with a two-cylinder DI diesel engine. The soot removal efficiency of the filter was 98–99 mass% with a balance temperature (stationary pressure drop) of 315 °C at an engine load of 55%. The NOx conversion ranged from 40 to 73%, at a NH3/NOx molar ratio of 0.9. Both systems were measured at a GHSV of 52 000 l/(l h). The maximum NOx conversion was obtained at 400 °C. The reason for the moderate deNOx performance is discussed. No deactivation was observed after 380 h time on stream. The NOx emission at high engine loads is around 15% lower than that of engines running without fuel additives. 相似文献

This review article describes and discusses the literature on reducing agent control systems for NOx emission reduction in the exhaust gas of full lean‐burn engines. The literature can be classified as feedback, feedforward, feedforward‐feedback, feedforward/feedforward‐feedback and periodical dosing control systems, which can be further classified as classical, override, co‐ordinated, constrained and split systems or a combination of those. As long as reproducible, fast and cheap NOx sensors are not commercially available, the control system should be an inferential feedforward or feedforward‐feedback system supplied with constraints for environmental and economical reasons. For future applications an oxidation catalyst downstream of the deNOx catalyst should be applied to convert any inevitable reductant slip, due to modelling errors, to harmless compounds. 相似文献

The tribological properties of gas pressure sintered SiAlON and its composite with 18 wt% silicon carbide (SiC) against two different mating materials, i.e., alumina and SiAlON are evaluated. SiAlON and SiAlON–18%SiC composite ceramics were prepared by pressure less sintering and gas pressure sintering. Fretting wear tests were carried out under dry unlubricated ambient conditions (room temperature 23–25 °C; relative humidity 50–55%) with a load of 8 N for 45,000 cycles. Friction and wear properties of SiAlON–SiC proved better than the monolithic SiAlON. The formation of silica roll like structure on the composite worn surface was observed. 相似文献

Extractive lactic acid fermentation was investigated in the presence of sunflower oil and Alamine‐336 (with oleyl alcohol as the diluent solvent). Lactic acid was produced in various media at 37 °C using Lactobacillus delbrueckii (NRRL‐B 445). First, the effects of oleyl alcohol (33.3%, v/v), immobilisation, and immobilisation in the presence of sunflower oil (5, 10, 15%, v/v) on lactic acid production were investigated. It was found that oleyl alcohol did not affect production while addition of sunflower oil increased lactic acid production from 10.22 to 16.46 gdm?3. On the other hand, a toxic effect was observed for oleyl alcohol solutions containing 15–50% (v/v) Alamine‐336. A maximum total lactic acid concentration of 25.59 gdm?3 was obtained when an oleyl alcohol solution containing 15% (v/v) Alamine together with immobilised cells with 15% (v/v) sunflower oil was used. Membrane electrode assemblies with Nafion/nanosize titanium silicon dioxide (TiSiO4) composite membranes were manufactured with a novel ultrasonic-spray technique and tested in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Nafion/TiO2 and Nafion/SiO2 nanocomposite membranes were also fabricated by the same technique and their characteristics and performances in PEMFC were compared with Nafion/TiSiO4 mixed oxide membrane. The composite membranes have been characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, water uptake, and proton conductivity. The composite membranes gained good thermal resistance with insertion of inorganic oxides. Uniform and homogeneous distribution of inorganic oxides enhanced crystalline character of these membranes. Gas diffusion electrodes (GDE) were fabricated by Ultrasonic Coating Technique. Catalyst loading was 0.4 mg Pt/cm2 for both anode and cathode sides. Fuel cell performances of Nafion/TiSiO4 composite membrane were better than that of other membranes. The power density obtained at 0.5 V at 75 °C was 0.456 W cm−2, 0.547 W cm−2, 0.477 W cm−2 and 0.803 W cm−2 for Nafion, Nafion/TiO2, Nafion/SiO2, and Nafion/TiSiO4 composite membranes, respectively. 相似文献

Kinetics of Total Phenolic Content and Total Color Difference During Liquid Smoking of Kashar Cheese
Since the late 1800s, smoking has been used for giving color, taste, and aroma to foods, as well as for developing new products. Due to health, technical, and economic reasons, one of the widely used smoking techniques preferred by manufacturers is smoking with liquid smoke. In this study, fresh Kashar cheese slices were smoked by immersion in liquid smoke at concentrations (10, 20, 30%), smoking temperatures (20, 30, 40°C) and smoking times (30, 60, 120, 180, 300 s). The appropriate equation and kinetic parameters were determined for the variation of total phenolic content and total color difference. A pseudo-first-order kinetic model was obtained, and activation energy values were calculated as 10.7 kJ/mol and 24.3 kJ/mol, respectively. 相似文献

This work presents the male reproductive system morphology and histology of the water strider Gerris lacustris (Linnaeus 1758) (Gerridae, Heteroptera) using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The male reproductive system of G. lacustris comprise of a pair of testes, two vasa deferentia, two seminal vesicles, an ejaculatory duct. There is no bulbus ejaculatorius and the long vas deferantia uniting to form a simple ductus ejaculatorius which is connected to the aedeagus. The testes are white colored and this cylindiric‐shaped structure lies along genital abdominal segment. The testicular follicles have three different development zones (growth zone, maturation zone, differentiation zone). Each testis has two follicles, which are not lined by a common peritoneal sheath and involving many cysts arranged in a progressive order of maturation from the distal to the proximal region; spermiogenesis occurs in mature males, finishing with the organization of sperm bundles.
